I seriously need to start reading more fics đ but I do have a few.
Nemesis recs pt. 1
love lockdown by @personasintro â this deserves a special place on this list because, without it, I probably wouldn't be here writing today. The lack of updates inspired me to come up with my own version of zombie apocalypse Yoongi đ, and without that, none of my stories would probably exist. I'm still waiting for an update!!!
basic needs & self fulfillment needs by @gggukniverse â also still waiting for an update đ This is genuinely one of the best smut fics I've read so far that I keep coming back to
hot & bothered by @ktownshizzle â I don't read this type of stories often, but it was really sweet <3
snowball series by @werezmastarbucks â the one that inspired me to write my own psycho stalker!
moon dreams by @kikiskook â freaky, but surprisingly sweet in the end. I actually reread it a few days ago
Grief is so weird because my dad died 2 years ago and I just found myself optimistically thinking that maybe if I walk through enough mysterious fog, when I come back from the other side, my dad will still be alive as if this shitty life we've been given is fictitious and can just be left behind and a new one entered.
I have always been a facts and proof and a "no-nonsenseical" kind of girl, but since my dad died I find myself hoping for the impossible. Especially in this day and age where we need something equivalent to an "act of God" to get us out of this hell hole.
Thereâs a liquor store near my house that seems to be run exclusively by frat boys. They lovingly curate these bags, which I browsed today while âOops I Did It Againâ played through the store speakers. This is art to me, there is beauty everywhere for those with eyes to see it
This is funny to me bc I have only actually been active for about 6 months of these 7 years. đ đ đ
But i know I've had an account for over a decade, I just had to deactivate the last one because I was âšïžnotâšïž supposed to have a Tumblr and my dad & stepmom found my sister's account, so I had time to delete mine. đ

With this fic, it's not exactly an AU, but imagine that ninjas couldn't go through the ninja academy as kids. It's kind of like a college. They're all adults, but they're not full shinobi's yet. But they still went to an academy as kids!

''How can we go back to being friends, when we just shared a bed? How can you look at me and pretend Iâm someone youâve never met?â - Sombr
You opened the door to your metal locker, grabbing some of your textbooks and notebooks for your next class at the ninja academy. You pulled out a cloth to wipe the smudges from your glasses, when you saw a blonde coming up to you.
âYn, you are such a badass. You schooled Neji in that debate.â She said, leaning against the locker next to yours. You smiled at her, pushing the glasses back on your nose. âIâm sure I have no idea what youâre talking about. Ino.âÂ
Ino rolled her eyes, pulling out a pen and scribbling down some notes from the previous class.Â
âIruka-Sensei sure makes our lives impossible, huh?â She said, going over what she had just written down. âI mean, itâs no wonder we have such few shinobi. These classes are impossible!â Inoâs voice trailed out when you spotted Kibaâ the man whom you loved since you were kids. Coincidentally, the man who barely knew you existed.Â
Kiba walked down the hallway with Akamaru at his side, biting into an apple. When he reached a group of his friends, you took in the sight of his smile and how his canine teeth poked out a bit, the way he pushed his hair back.Â
You wanted nothing but to tell him every day how much you loved his smile.
âHello??â Ino asked, knocking twice on your locker. The sound caught Kibaâs attention and he glanced over to you, before going back to his friends.Â
âOh, uh, sorry,â you murmured. She turned to look in the direction you were staring when she noticed him.Â
âAhh! I see now.â She teased. âAre you ever going to talk to him?âÂ
You blushed, looking down. âI donât know,â you whispered, shutting your locker and leaning against it. âHeâs just so cute. How can I function around him when itâs all that I can do to not stop breathing when he looks at me?âÂ
Ino tilts her head in awe. Sheâs known about your crush since you blushed the first time he smiled at you.
You were seven years old. You had accidentally made a small joke, not in front of the class, but Kiba noticed. And he laughed. You made him laugh.Â
From then on, you did everything you could to get his attention in subtle ways like that. Youâd talk a little louder, youâd laugh a little louder.
âI think Iâm going to do it.â You said confidently.Â
âYou are not! Youâve been saying that for years.â Ino scoffed.
âIâm going to do it, this time! Watch me.â You said, walking to his locker, sliding your number in it. You moved so quietly and slightly that he didnât notice and you ran behind a pillar of concrete as you watched him open his locker. The paper with your name and number on it fell out, and you saw him look around before putting it in his pocket.
You bite your lip in excitement, not noticing that he seemed very aloof about it.Â
Weeks had gone by and you hadnât heard from him. It was a Saturday night. You were in your bedroom doing homework with your salt lamp lighting up your room with soft light.Â
You were taking notes from your ninja book, preparing your notes to write a paper when your phone buzzed. You expected it to be Ino asking you to come out and party with her, so you just left it alone. But it buzzed again a few seconds later, so you sat your pencil down to look at it.
K: hey, itâs kiba
K: you busy?
You nearly fell on the floor. You immediately texted Ino telling her about Kiba texting you and you began to pace around your room.
Yn: hey! Not rly, just studying. whats up??
You waited a few minutes, just staring at your phone. It buzzed again, but you were half disappointed when you saw it was Ino.Â
I: wow! Lmk what he says!
You began to text your response when Kiba texted again.Â
K: wanna hang out?
You began to internally scream, running around and speed cleaning your small apartment. Most of the academy students your age still lived with their parents, but you had saved up just enough to be able to live on your own.
Yn: sure, is my place okay?
K: yeah, send me your address and iâll be there soon
You sent him your address and you finished wiping down the surfaces in your apartment. About a half an hour passed when you heard a knock at the door.
You ran to the door, calmed yourself, and then opened it. âHi,â you whispered before clearing your throat.
âHey, thanks for hanging out with me so late.â He said, walking in with his hands tucked into his pocket.Â
You moved out of the way, shutting the door behind him. âItâs no problem at all! So, what do you want to do?â You asked.
He shrugged, looking around. âWe can talk for a little bit and then.. See where that goes?â He offered.
âO-okay! Well, make yourself at home! Would you like something to eat or drink?â You asked. He laughed at the question. âNo, Iâm okay.â He took a seat on the couch and you followed.
You both sat in silence for a minute, before you pulled one of your knees up to your chest. âSo, what made you reach out?â You asked.
He shrugged again, his eyes darting around the room. It seemed like he was trying to look everywhere else but your eyes. âI guess I was just bored. We havenât really talked before, so,â he finished.
You nodded, trying desperately to find something to talk about.Â
âHowâs, uh, your paper coming for Anko-Senseiâs class?â You asked. He chuckled. âHavenât started it.â
You nodded once again. You never pegged him for one to be silent for long periods of time, you half expected him to carry part of the conversation.Â
âHow long have you liked me for?â He asked.Â
The question caught you off guard, making your cheeks flush.Â
âOh! Uh, I guess our whole lives, sorry if thatâs kind of weird,â you admitted. He smiled, scooting closer.
âNo, itâs cute.â He said. His face got closer to yours, tucking a piece of your hair behind your ear. âI never really noticed how pretty your eyes were.â
You smiled, softly biting your bottom lip at an attempt to ground yourself.
Kibaâs face was suddenly so close you could see the faint scar at the corner of his lip, the one youâd never noticed until now. His hand hovered for a moment before tucking a strand of hair behind your ear, fingers grazing your skin.
Your chest tightened, a thousand versions of this moment flashing in your head all at once â the way you used to scribble his name in margins, the nights you whispered âmaybe somedayâ into your pillow, the way every smile of his had felt like a small sun warming your ribs.
And then it happened. His mouth pressed against yours, sudden and a little rough, his lips moving with a hurried sort of need. It wasnât perfect â the rhythm was off, his breath came fast, and for a second his teeth clicked against yours.
But you didnât notice. Or maybe you refused to. Because your heart was hammering too loud in your ears, because the weight of years of longing finally tipped into reality. You clutched the fabric of his jacket like it was the only thing tethering you to earth.
This is it, you thought wildly. Heâs kissing me. After all this time, heâs kissing me.
And it didnât matter if it was messy or rushed. To you, it was everything.
He had begun to crawl on top of you and you let him, letting your back press against the couch.Â
âHave you ever been with someone before, Yn?â He asked. You shook your head no, blushing even more.Â
âAre you okay if your first is with me?âÂ
You nodded your head yes. You couldnât find the words.
He began to kiss down your neck, just barely missing the points that would give you goosebumps. He pulled your shirt off, cupping your breasts through your bra.
He reached down to your sweat pants, pushing his hand past the waist band and feeling your wet slick through the material of your panties. âVirgins get so wet so fast.â He whispered to you.Â
He began to rub you with lazy strokes up and down as he continued to kiss you. The excitement you felt was just enough to mask the feeling of his touches continuously missing the spots you needed him to touch most.
He pulled your pants down further until they were all the way off, when you reached up to pull his shirt off as well. You were in awe of his chiseled abs and the way the hair below his belly button trailed down.
âAre you ready?â He asked. It took you a minute to understand what he was saying, but you nodded. You wanted him in every way possible.
He lowered his pants and boxers as well, pulling them off completely and dropping them on the floor. He lifted one of your legs, looking down to line himself up with your entrance.Â
âItâll probably hurt, but youâll get used to it,â he said as he began to sink himself into you. The pain was oddly addicting. But it was still painful. The sharp stretch you felt in your virgin muscles was burning you from the inside out as he slowly kept sliding himself in.Â
âHow is it?â He asked, his mind clearly elsewhere.
âU-uh, it hurts a lot, but I think I can get used to it,â you said, holding onto his arms for support.
He began to move in and out and as much as it hurt, something about it was so pleasurable. You had loved him for so many years, and now this was the moment. It was what youâd been waiting for for so long, the fact that it was finally happening was enough to get you through the pain.Â
âY-youâre so tight,â he groaned out.Â
âCan youâ ah! â sit still for just a few minutes?â You asked. He agreed, but wasnât really sitting as still as you had hoped. You forced your eyes to stay open so you could memorize his body. The sweat beading off of him. The way his eyes flutter close every time you look up at him.
ââM so close,â he said. You got excited for him to finish because of you, and then once he was recharged you could do things again. The next time, youâd be stretched out and better prepared.Â
A few minutes pass and he pulls out and finishes on your stomach. Out of breath, he leans over you, panting. âThat was good,â he said, getting up, pulling his clothes on.Â
You blinked at him and you almost said something to him about not wanting to be finished yet. He could see that you had something to say.
âOh! Sure,â he said, grabbing the box of tissues on your coffee table and handing them to you for you to clean yourself up.
âI gotta run, I have to get up early tomorrow to train with my sister.â He said.Â
âThanks for hanging out with me!â He waved, closing the door behind him.Â
Too stunned to respond, you finally wipped up his cum from your stomach, and sat on your couch naked.
You spent the better part of the entire day Sunday too excited about what this meant, not noticing that he didnât text you back at all.Â
You got to school Monday morning, meeting Ino by your locker. âYouâre glowing,â she teased. Obviously you had told her everything.Â
âI havenât seen him yet today, but what do I say?â You asked, smiling wide.Â
âJust say hi, he can lead the conversation.â She offered.Â
You looked up and saw him by his locker. You gestured to him to Ino before walking up to him.Â
âH-hey Kiba!â You said.
He glanced over at you, unloading his bag. âOh, hey.âÂ
âH-how was training with your sister?â You asked. He gave you a puzzled look.
âWhat are you talking about?â He asked.Â
âOh! You, uh, you left Saturday after we, you know, because you had training with your sister Sunday morning.â You explained.Â
He rubbed the back of his head, offering a fake smile. âOh! Yeah it was fine.â
You nodded at him, trying to find your words. âSo, maybe if youâre not busy tonight, you can come over again and we can maybe watch a movie or somethingââÂ
He cut you off. âOh, hey, sorry but Iâm not really looking for a girlfriend. You and I are just friends, right?â He asked.Â
Your heart sank. âOh, but why did youâŠâ you trailed off.
âI told you Saturday, I was bored.â
He shut his locker.Â
âI gotta go, but Iâll uh, see you around.â He offered a friendly wave and he disappeared.
You stood frozen by the lockers, the smile still stuck on your face, but it felt like it belonged to someone else now. The hallway noise swelled around you, laughter and footsteps rushing past, but all you could hear was the echo of him saying, âI was bored.â

"Can't change the weather, might not be forever, but if it's forever, it's even better." - Billie Eilish
âDamn, all this job ever is is paperwork,â you grumbled to yourself as you sat at your desk in the academy teacherâs office. âYouâre telling me,â Iruka said. You giggled to yourself, not wishing the title of head master on yourself.
You began to go over and sign more papers, when you felt the breeze of the door pass over your skin. âYn, Yuiâs parents from your beginning class are here for your meeting with them.â Shino said, walking through the door.
You threw your head back, groaning dramatically. He chuckled to himself, patting you on the head. âYou got it, big girl. Go get 'em!â He teased, pulling a chuckle from Iruka as well.Â
âOh fuck you both,â you joked along.Â
The meeting went relatively quickly, though itâs never easy to tell the parents of your students that theyâre failing.Â
Once the meeting was over, you headed back to the office to finish up the last of your paperwork for the day, leaving the meeting synopsis in a file to go over tomorrow. You expected to be alone as the parents came at the end of the day, but you were shocked and a little pleased to see shino was still here.
âWhat are you still doing here? The day ended like an hour ago,â you asked, sitting.
He looked up from his own stack. âHuh? Oh, I was just grading some papers. Heh, funny story actually,â he started. âOh?â You said.
âMy students had been bugging me for days about handing out these papers so that they could see their grades and I told them to be patient. That that's the âway of the ninjaâ! Well, the truth is I lost the papers until now and Iâm handing them out tomorrow.â
You giggled as he rubbed the back of his neck, setting his red pen on the desk.
âNice going, Shino. Need help?â You offered, walking to his desk.Â
âIf you want to look over these, thatâs be great. I trust your judgment,â he handed you a separate stack, and you took a seat at your desk again.Â
You both sat in a comfortable silence, when he cleared his throat. âSo, do you have any plans for dinner tonight?â He asked. You looked up, pulling your own pen from the paper.
âHm? Oh, I havenât even thought about dinner. I donât think so! Did you have something in mind?â You asked, cocking your head to the side.
âMaybe that 24 hour BBQ? I hear the later it is, the better the food,â he suggested, joking a bit. You smiled, nodding. âYeah, that sounds good.â
After a few hours of grading with Shino, you both walked out of the building, him holding the doors open for you. The sun had long been asleep and the crickets began their symphony
You both had made it, sitting down in a small booth as he made you laugh about stories about his classes and stupid jokes. You chuckled out as he had made some jokes and told you stories about his students. âHah! No way, I do not buy that your bugs actually impersonated you during a class.âÂ
He laughed as well. âYou donât have to believe me, but you can ask Himawari in your class tomorrow. Boruto ranted and raved the whole time, she probably got an earful.âÂ
âI just might,â you said, sitting back and crossing your arms. Shino had taught the older kids while you taught a few years younger.
The night was full of stories, jokes and accidental touches. Youâd instinctively grab his hand or arm when you laughed, and he never moved it away.Â
There was a feeling of familiarity with him. You werenât nervous, and neither was he. Like you had been best friends your whole lives.
When there was a moment of silence, you both sat in it, comfortably enjoying each other's company.Â
âWe should probably head home,â he suggested, glancing at the time. It was well past midnight, and you both had class tomorrow.Â
âOh wow, yeah, youâre probably right.â You both stood up, leaving the restaurant.
âLet me walk you home, itâs late and you live kind of far.â He offered. You knew you didnât need him to walk you home, that you could defend yourself pretty damn well if need be, and he knew that too. But neither of you were quite ready to end the night just yet.
âHow long have you been teaching for?â You asked him. You were a newer teacher, fresh out of your own school of teaching and were still getting to know some of the other teachers.Â
âAboiut 7 years, give or take. After the war I still went on missions but I kind of realized that teaching was something I was passionate about. I knew I wasnât up for being a squad leader, so this was the next thing in mind.â He explained.
You nodded. âI see.â
âHow about you?â He asked.Â
âThis is only my second year, Iâm a bit younger than you!â You giggled out. Which is true. You were only 24, Shino was 33.Â
You had made it to your place, biting the inside of your cheek, resisting the urge to invite him in.Â
âThanks for walking me home, Shino.â You said, smiling at him.
He smiled back at you, looking down into your eyes.Â
âAnytime,â he trailed off.Â
He didnât move, though. Your heart began to pound as you realized how close he was. You didnât move either, you didnât want to. You begged the Gods to let this moment last forever.Â
Shino wasnât far behind. You were the first person in a while who made him feel seen, who laughed at his stupid jokes and not out of sympathy.Â
But one of you had to be strong.Â
âIâll see you tomorrow,â he said, stepping back, clearing his throat. You nodded, watching him walk away.Â
You let yourself in your front door, smiling to yourself.
You went straight to bed, excited to see him tomorrow.
â â
You made it to the academy a little early, having put more effort into your appearance without going overboard. Your flak vest and black undershirt were standard, but youâd taken time to smooth your hair and make sure your skin looked fresh. It wasnât that you were trying to impress anyone⊠but you also absolutely were.
Your class filtered in with their usual morning chatter, and you clapped your hands to get their attention.
âGood morning, everyone!â you said, cheerful as ever as you hopped onto the edge of your desk. âI hope you all had a good day yesterday. Anyone want to demonstrate the transformation jutsu we learned?â
Silence. A few kids tried to sink into their chairs. You smiled â adorable, hopeless little gremlins.
âYn-sensei?â one brave soul asked. âMaybe⊠you could show us again?â
You laughed, standing up. âSure. Someone give me a person to transform into.â
âOoo! Lord Seventh!â someone shouted.
You sighed dramatically. âOf course.â
You brought your hands together and transformed into Naruto â cloak, hair, whisker marks, the whole deal.
Right then, the door slid open. Shino and Iruka walked in, both looking briefly startled.
âO-oh! Lord Seventh!â Iruka said, wiping imaginary sweat from his forehead. âWhat brings you here?â
Your class tried to hold in laughter; Iruka, bless him, played along perfectly.
âIn here toâerâdemand pay raises for all teachers! Less homework for students! And three-day weekends forever!â you declared in Narutoâs voice.
The classroom erupted. Even Shino let out a quiet chuckle, covering his mouth with his hand.
You dispelled the jutsu, returning to yourself as Shino and Iruka gave dramatic sighs of relief.
âWow! You sure got us, Yn-sensei,â Iruka said, laughing as the students reenacted your impression behind him.
You brushed a few stray hairs behind your ear, still smiling. âSo, what can I do for you two?â
Iruka opened his mouth, but Shino spoke first.
âWell⊠I was telling Iruka how well youâve been doing,â he said evenly, though the look in his eyes was warm. âHe wanted to come see for himself.â
Immediately your class let out a collective, mischievous: âOooooooh!â
Heat flooded your cheeks. You pretended not to notice Shino shifting his weight like he hadnât realized the implication of what he just said.
âWell,â you said slowly, clearing your throat, âweâre going over the transformation jutsu. Any words of encouragement?â
Shino stepped forward, hands behind his back in that sweet, formal way he had. âAlways keep the image of what youâre transforming into in your mind,â he said. âFocus on the details.â
âYes, and be mindful of your chakra control,â Iruka added.
You nodded, and so did the whole class, as if the two men had just delivered sacred wisdom.
âWell, youâre both welcome to stay as long as youâd like,â you said, trying to sound casual again.
Iruka raised his hand. âWe should get going â just wanted to stop in.â
With that, they slipped out, the door sliding shut behind them.
And the second it closed, your class exploded into whispers.
You covered your face with your hand, smiling despite yourself.
â â
The day had gone on, and it didnât stop even after your students had gone home. You made your way to the teachers office, seeing it empty. You shrugged in disappointment for a moment seeing that Shino wasn't there, but you sat down to begin your work.
You had lost yourself in your paper work and sticky notes and text books that you were making copies of that you didnât notice Shino had come in.Â
âHey, I got you some coffee,â he said, setting the cup down in front of you. âOh! Thank you,â you said, fighting back a grin.
âWhat are you doing this weekend?â He asked.Â
You took a second, before looking at him. âNothing actually, why?â You asked, going back to your work.Â
âI want to take you out.â He stated, unwavering. Your voice caught in your throat. He hadnât been this forward with you.Â
âOh?â You responded.Â
âReally?â You asked, smiling a little.
He nodded his head, crossing his arms, leaning against your desk.Â
âO-okay,â you stuttered.
â â
The night came. He came to pick you up, smiling at you at your door.
âHi, beautiful,â he said, making you blush as your heart skipped a beat.Â
âHi,â you responded.
He had taken you for a walk, talking about anything and everything before leading you to a cliff that overlooked the village. There you found a picnic waiting for you along with a small vase with one flower.
âOh, Shino,â you said, taking it all in.
You both sat on the blanket, snacking on some of the cheese and fruit he had packed.Â
âShino, this is beautiful, no one's ever done something like this for me before,â you said, taking the glass of wine he handed to you.
âYn in our line of work weâre lucky if we make it to old age. Weâre even luckier if we find someone we care about.â He stated. You blushed a new shade of red and grinned, taking a sip.
âI had no idea you were such a romantic,â you teased, while he chuckled.
âI guess I didnât either.â The night was filled with laughter and touches. When the time had come for him to walk you home again, you held onto his arm instinctively. But he didnât pull away.
You reached your front door once again, but this time you didnât let go. Neither did he. He brushed your hair from your face, mumbled how beautiful you were before leaning in to kiss you.
When his soft lips met yours, your breath caught â your knees nearly buckled. You had never felt more safe. More seen. More quietly, deeply loved.
ââYn⊠I canât promise forever. Not in our world. But I can promise this: whatever time I get, I want it with you. And if weâre lucky⊠forever like this sounds pretty good.â He said, smiling. You smiled back, pulling him in again.

"And the funny thing is I'd have married you if you'd have stuck around."
Your relationship with Shino has always been⊠complicated. There were moments in time where you were all he thought about, and there were times youâd start to think about him as more than a friend. But theyâd never line up.Â
Heâd always been in love with you.
And you knew. You always knew.
He only ever wanted to get your attention. Even as an adult.Â
You were 22. Ready for whatever life would throw at you, when Lord Kakashi summoned you.
You entered his office, bowing to him and greeting him. âSir,â you greeted.
âAh, Yn! Itâs good to see you. Please, sit.â He motioned to the chairs in front of his desk. You glanced around the room, looking for a grounding in the lack of formality.Â
âAre you doing okay? Youâve got quite an impressive string of successful missions, one of the highest in your graduating class, even besting some of our long term Jonin!â He said, setting your file down, glancing through some of your missions.
âFrom what Iâve heard, youâre interested in foreign affairs? Trades, international intelligence, immigration,â he began.
âO-oh yes, sir. Thatâs what I had been hoping to do once I became a Jonin.â You explained.
âWell, I may need an international ambassador to represent the leaf village. However, youâd be gone for nearly 10 years. Espionage, diplomatic matters, the kind of thing we do in the office but outside of the land of fire.â He explained.
Your mouth stood agape. This was everything you had wanted. Youâd get to see the world, train with some of the best ninjas in the world, it was your dream.Â
âOh, sir I-I would love to!â You exclaimed. You chuckled out in excitement as you couldnât help but to stand.
âWonderful! Iâd like to put you to work immediately if that works for you? Iâd like to ship you out tomorrow afternoon, youâll be going to the land of wind first. Youâll get your next orders there. Thatâs how we will tell you where to go nextâ through the mail channels of the current city or village youâre stationed in. If you donât hear from us, stay put.â He explained. He handed you a few scrolls, and began the paperwork side of you leaving.
Hours later, you stepped out into the fresh air, excited for this new journey. You had to tell all of your friends. Lucky for you, the monthly friend group dinner was tonight.Â
You had started to debate on how to tell everyone. You knew not everyone would be as excited about this as you are, but you still had to tell them.
The dinner came. You took your seat next to Sakura, casually sipping on some green tea. You and Shino had made eye contact, and you could feel your cheeks burn. It was as if his eyes saw deep inside of you in a way that no one else could.
An hour or so had passed, and eventually Naruto chimed in. âSo, Yn. I overheard Kakashi saying he had special orders from you. Has he talked to you already?â He asked.
You cleared your throat as everyone's attention had begun to focus on you. You smiled, trying to find the words. âWell,â you started. âLord Kakashi has chosen me to be an international ambassador. I'll be handling things from trade to espionage. The thing is, Iâll be gone for⊠a really long time, and Iâm leaving tomorrow.â You trailed off, trying to gauge the reactions of everyone before continuing.Â
âTh-thats like, everything youâve ever wanted!â Ino exclaimed loudly. Everyone started to congratulate you, giggling with excitement.Â
In the chaos of excitement, you nearly missed Shino asking you a question.Â
âWhat was that?â You asked him.
He stood, his stance demanding the attention of the room. âI asked how long.â He repeated loudly.
âO-oh, uh, Lord Kakashi said maybe up to 10 years,â you replied. Everyoneâs faces dropped, although Shino just sat back down.
âWow, ten years. Thatâs an awful long time,â Sakura said.Â
âI guess we will just have to come find you!â Naruto said. With his exclamation, the excitement came back to everyoneâs face. Everyone but Shino.
He stood aggressively, shoving himself back away from the table causing the cutlery and plates to clatter as he stormed off. It wasnât a secret how he felt for you.
His exit took everyoneâs attention, and then they started to look at you.
You sighed out, rubbing the back of your neck. âI guess I should go talk to him.â You said quietly.Â
âItâs alright, I can cover your tab, go find him.â Naruto said, patting your shoulder.
You thanked him and everyone and left.
You had a knack for sensing out specific chakra signatures, but his was always a bit fuzzy with his bugs flying everywhere. But, predictably so, he had gone home.Â
You knocked a few times on his door, half expecting him to not answer. But he did. His cloak was off as was his hat and his sunglasses. All that stood in front of you was his 6â2 frame, deep brown eyes and a look on his face that broke your heart.
âShino, IâŠâ you trailed off. âI wish I had the words to convey how much Iâll miss everyone⊠miss you,â you continued. âBut I.. this is something that I canât just turn down, I mean you have to get that.â You stated.
You were met with silence. âYouâve known me since we were basically babies. This is all Iâve ever talked about.â
Once again, nothing.Â
âIf youâre going to make a scene in a restaurant like that the least you could do is fucking respond to me. I mean, I'm out here wandering around trying to find you so I can talk to you. If you have something to say justââ
He grabbed you by the arms and kissed you. The only time you had ever considered him more than a friend was when you were both 16 and he kissed you like this. You had craved him for so many weeks to do that again but⊠he never did. So you got over him.
But here he was, running his hands up and down your back with his lips tangled in yours. And youâd be damned⊠you were doing it too. You had his shirt tangled in your fingers, pulling him as close he could possibly go. The way he was holding you, the way his tongue swiped across your bottom lip, your eyes had rolled to the back of your head. You didnât even notice you were inside his apartment.
One article at a time, you had begun stripping each other to your underwear until you found yourself in his bedroom. You wanted to stop and ask him if he was sure about this. But that would mean you having to tell him you were still going, which also gave the possibility of him stopping. Two things you didnât want happening. But apparently, one of you needed a clear head.
âAre you sure about this?â He asked you. You sighed out, more like panted out, and bit your lip. âNo. But I want this, Shino. Please,â you quietly begged.Â
You were begging that for once in his life, heâd do something outside of the rules. Heâd do something that he probably shouldnât do.Â
He obeyed. You climbed on top of him, kissing down his body that smelled of aspen and sake from the restaurant. It was addicting.Â
You reached his boxers and tugged them down. His cock sprung out, clear liquid coming from his light pink tip. You attached your lips almost immediately, licking up and down like it was your job. His hand reached your head, allowing it to bob up and down on him.Â
But it wasnât long until he stopped youâ he had to stop you. He didnât want to finish like that.Â
He pulled you off, pulling you up to his face by your hair and kissing you again. He gripped your hips, rolling you below him on your back. As he began to trail down, you stopped him as well.
You needed him and you needed him now. âW-wait,â you whispered.Â
âAre you okay?â he asked. You gave a small smile, tracing your finger over his jaw and neck. âIm perfect. I just⊠I want you, Shino.â You said.
He took his time, taking in your naked, sweaty body before lining himself up.
As he sank himself into you, he looked into your eyes, as if to beg you to stay. But the stretch burned deliciously, and you threw your head back, your mouth agape.
âAgh! â f-fuck, sâbig,â you whined out.Â
He smirked, burying himself into your neck, kissing where he felt your pulse.
âYouâre so beautiful,â he whispered, pushing himself in and out as you wrapped your arms around his neck.
âEven more so like this. Underneath me,â he began to push even harder.
You did everything you could to ground yourself from the pleasure, but the more you whined and moaned, the harder he went.Â
You pulled his face into yours, kissing him deeply. You let your mouth fall open as a string of filthy words came flowing out like a sink faucet, and he took that opportunity to swipe his thumb over your bottom lip. You closed your lips around it, not breaking your fuck-me eye contact.
He chuckled to himself before flipping you over in a prone bone position. He wrapped his hand around your mouth, and before you could ask why, he shoved himself back in, fucking into you so deep.
You groaned into his hand, clutching the bed sheets, whining with every time his hips met your ass.
He used the hand he had around your mouth as leverage to move your head to the side as he kissed your neck, licking and sucking until it left purple bruises.Â
âHeh, explain that to your stupid politicians,â he growled into your ear.
Your whole night with Shino was him bending you in every position he had ever fantasized you in. And when he finished, he made sure that you thanked him for it.
By the end of the night, you were all fucked out. You couldnât help but to fall asleep in his arms. So when you woke up the next morning, you let the calm, simplicity of being with a friend be just that before you had to get up and go pack. He kissed your neck to tell you âgood morningâ, but you had to tell him.Â
You were still going. And you had even less time now.Â
âI-Iâm sorry, Shino. But I canât⊠I just⊠Iâm sorry.â You said, seeing the look in his eyes begging you. âIâll think about you every night. Last night was just⊠perfect, Shino.â You finished. But he was clearly not interested in talking further. So you left.
You ventured off into the world that afternoon and every once in a while, youâd see Naruto and some of the others. A few years later, you heard that Naruto had a child and was soon becoming Hokage.Â
But after 10 long years, Naruto called you back home. And truth be told, you were tired. You missed your family, your friends, your village.Â
You had come across the gates as a new woman than when you left. You were stronger, wiser. You were ready to settle down.Â
âYn?â You heard a familiar voice call out. You turned to face Sakura, who had become a woman. âSakura!â You yelled out, running to her and hugging her. âUh, mom, whoâs this?â You heard a voice behind her say.
âThis is an old friend, Yn. She is a very important person in the political world. Naruto asked her to come back home and work from here so sheâs back! Gods, itâs been so long!â She squealed out.
âI know! And who is this?â You asked, motioning to the young girl with jet black hair.
âThis is Sarada, my daughter.â Sakura said.Â
âOh! Sarada, that's a beautiful name!â You said.
âThanks, my dad named me.â She stated bluntly.
âWho isâŠ?â You whispered to Sakura, trying to not make it awkward.
âSasuke,â she whispered back. This made you roll your eyes, scoffing at her.Â
âGirl.â You said.
âDonât start.â Sakura replied, throwing up her hand at you.
âWell, letâs get you to the office!â She said, guiding you. Things looked⊠different. They had rebuilt so much after Pains attack. There was a train that surrounded the village, new restaurants. But you reached the academy, bringing back lots of memories.
âThis surprisingly is the only thing that I feel like I recognize.â You said.Â
Sakura laughed, placing a hand on your shoulder. âOur kids are starting there soon.âÂ
âWhoâs kids would that be?â You asked.Â
Sakura laughed as you all began walking again. âWell mine, Narutoâs oldest, Shikamaruâs son, Chojiâs daughter,â she began to name. âDamn Sakura, how the hell did you all manage to have kids at the exact same time?â
She giggled out again. âI guess I never realized that!âÂ
âWhoâs teaching there? It canât be Iruka,â you asked.
âOh, well, Shino actually!â She said. Your heart fluttered. The thought of seeing him again excited you. You wanted to tell him how he was all you thought about. That you counted down the days you could come back home for good. That you longed for him every night.
âIs he at the office? I mean, oh uh, are they all there?â You asked, a flush coming to your face.Â
âI think so! But no one really knew what day youâd be back so⊠I guess congratulations of making a dramatic entrance!âÂ
You nodded your head, nerves taking over as you approached the building.Â
âN-no way, YN!â A voice screamed, before trampling you to the ground in a hug.
âHah! Itâs good to see you too, Lee.â He helped you up, but you noticed a mirror image of him standing behind him.Â
âWho is this! Hi, you must be Leeâs son,â you said, crouching. The young boy looked as though he was going to vomit.Â
âThis is my son, Metal!â Lee stated proudly, but Metal ran away screaming.Â
âYeah he does that,â he said quietly. âLetâs go!âÂ
The three of you made your way into the tower and Sakura opened the doors to the office. âNaruto, I have a surprise for you.â She stated, pulling you by the arm into the office.
Just then, history hit you in the face. Everyone. All of your old friends were all grown up, inside. Including Shino.
Everyone took turns greeting you, asking about your travels, wanting stories and photos.
âThat settles it. Iâm calling for a group dinner tonight!â Naruto yells.Â
Sakura had taken you back to her place she shared with her daughter so you could get ready together before meeting everyone at the same restaurant you had told them all you were leaving in. And you sat right next to Shino, who hadnât really spoken to you since you got back.
âHeres to friends, family, and the safe return of one of our own!â Lee had toasted to.Â
The food had been served and everyone chatted amongst themselves.
âSo, how have you been?â You asked Shino, taking a sip of wine from your glass.
âFine,â he stated. You sat, waiting for more of his response. But he had turned to engage in conversation with someone else and that told you enough.
But he had been in love with you for so long⊠he had to talk to you⊠right?
The night wound down and you made sure you had a moment alone with Shino.
âHey, can I walk home with you?â You asked. He sighed, but reluctantly agreed.Â
âSo, youâre a teacher now?â You asked. He glared at you before looking off into the distance. âYeah.â
You nodded. You walked in silence. And not the peaceful kind of silence. The kind that made your brain race.
âThis is me. See ya, Yn.â He said. But before he could get very far you stepped in front of him.Â
âEither tell me whatâs bothering you or youâll have to look at me until you get sick of it.â You cracked a smile, teasing him.Â
He scoffed, snapping. âIâm already sick of it, Yn.â
This had caught you off guard. âShino, whatâs going on? Why are you being like this?â
Shaking his head, he crossed his hands across his chest. âYouâre unbelievable.â
âHey! If you have something to say then say it. Stop with this bullshit, petty, whatever this is. Okay? Iâm back now. And I want us toââÂ
âTo what? Weâre nothing, Yn. And itâs going to stay that way.â He tried to shove you out of the way.
His words stung, but you were persistent.Â
âKeep going. Youâre pissed, I get it butââ
âDo you hear yourself? Do you really hear yourself?â
âExcuse me? Yes, Shino, I can very well. But if I recall, there were two of us in that room. We both made the decision to have sex. Stop blaming me because you thouhght, what, that you could manipulate me into staying?â You snapped back.
âBecause youâre fucking selfish! You took my feelings for you for granted!â He shouted.
You shouted back. âWell iâm here now! Iâm telling you that I want you! You were all I thought about!â Your voice began to break.
âThat means shit to me, Yn. You broke me. You broke my heart.â He said.Â
You stayed silent. You hadnât realized how much you had hurt him, especially now that you see the tears in his eyes.
âShino,â
âHeh! You know, the funny thing is I'd have married you if youâd have stuck around.âÂ
That knocked the wind out of you. âY-you would have?âÂ
âYeah, Yn. But I donât feel that way anymore. So leave me alone.â He whispered to you, wiping his eyes.
You stood alone, shocked and out of words.
âBut I wanted to give you the world. I guess I was too late.â
