“S-U-G-A-R jump into your racing car.”
Lloyd has never been shy about his money. His parents were in the candy business which made sense since their last name was so stupid it had to be related to either candy or fruit. They did their business in taffy mostly, but their favorite person to source to was King Candy. He helped them really build their business and support it as they started branching out from their home base in Maryland. Lloyd was pretty sure this guy was his godfather which he thought was weird but it made him feel less bad about stealing candy from the store. He had always had a problem with stealing things. He didn’t need to; he had all of the money in the world and his parents dropped a pretty penny on him whenever he asked but there was something about taking what he knew wasn’t his that just…made him feel good. It started with toys from the kids he didn’t like and as he grew older it became just about anything. He would take things he didn’t even like or need sometimes and just sell them to the other kids at school. An unofficial business but he saw it as taking the chance he got to be serious about his future or something like that.
He met Tinsley and the gang through his parents and the candy store and when he first met Tinsley he was in love. She was mean, cute, and a leader. Lloyd liked to think he was all of those things too until he properly met Randy and saw the way Tinsley looked at him. He wanted her to look at him that way and did whatever he could for the attention. He stole pretty things for her, he laughed the loudest at the mean things she said, and he tried his best to learn how to game just to impress her. He could admit he wasn’t the best at the classic arcade games at LitWack’s but once shooter games were introduced to him it was a match made in heaven. He grew closer to the rest of the gang through gaming, sure, especially Mina and Adora, but his favorite people to spend time with when Tinsley was busy was the guys. Swizz was quieter but chill and Randy….Lloyd just wanted to be him. He had everything he wanted and he hated that, but he did genuinely like the guy. Sure, sometimes he was the reason Tinsley and Randy fought when he slipped some information to Tinsley but he was just looking out for his friends. When Vanya came into the picture Lloyd was team Tinsley all the way. He didn’t like her, he didn’t like how she carried herself like she was better than them at gaming, and when she was out Lloyd happily contributed to the online bullying. He was great at it, actually. And anything that made Tinsley smile, made him smile.
When the Sugar Rush crew started gaining a following, Lloyd did whatever he could to be as invested as he could be despite the fact that his skills seriously lacked with certain games. He was hot so he had enough of a following on his own and honestly it just made his ego bigger. He had no interest in being nice or trying to hook up with his fans, but the people who hated him? It was a challenge. He liked doing the most to make the tides turn and it only gained him more supporters in the end. With all of this following and a big head to match, Lloyd really was a bit of a menace. He started hanging out with Leena more since she was as attached to Tinsley’s hip as he was and the two of them came to an agreement. They were both already telling Tinsley all about their friends slip-ups so why not work together? It was a beautiful partnership and Lloyd felt like he was on top. And since Tinsley and Randy were currently not a thing he felt it was his time to really step up. He thought he was the best fit for her and he wanted her to know that, but every time he came close something else always came up instead. He doesn’t know what to do and outside of the Sugar crew he didn’t have anything else going on except being rich and a kleptomaniac. As much as he never wanted to admit it, he needed his friends more than they needed him, and he wasn’t about to mess it up (even though he did so much that could ruin it all).
He does not care because it is not something that is happening with him.
Roxanne DiCaramello: Lloyd really doesn’t care that she’s Cara’s younger sister he thinks she’s hot and that the two of them should get to know each other better. He knows Cara could kill him but it’s a risk he wants to take.
Webby Vanderquack: She is quirky but he likes that. Another girl he knows he probably shouldn’t talk to that makes him want to get to know her better more. Besides, everyone likes the bady guy with a good girl troupe, right?
Misty Silber: She’s a bit ditzy, but cute. Her older brother is a problem but he’s sure he can convince him to let her hang out with him. If not, he is down to sneak around.
