Jax Redesign for my rewrite of tadc! Like before my notes will be under the cut. Part 1 where I drew Pomni

Also shameless plug my commissions are open!

Jax's design didn't change much, but I did take what he was in a different direction. Jax in the show is very rubberhose inspired which I did keep and emphasize a bit more with the round belly and big feet, but I also wanted to include something that matched his room, he is a music box stuffed animal shown with the wind up on his back. To keep his mystery, no one knows the music he plays. He doesn't have a tail in this design, its not shown but he has an X stitched where it should be.

The last couple days I have been working on my rewrite for tadc, which I wanna say straight up is out of a fondness for the show!! But anyways this is my redesign of Pomni, who I didn’t change too much bc I quite like her design. Notes under cut :)

I changed her colors a bit to make her more muted, this was mostly a personal preference but also I was thinking of those vintage jester puppets/dolls.

I covered her with bells for a very specific reason. I wanted to give her model a “flaw” like Gangle and Zooble do, in fact I want to for the whole main cast. Caine gives her the bells as an addition to her model after she joins the circus because she’s so quiet she goes unnoticed to the cast at first. It is a flaw because it shows her true emotions, specifically anger and fear, her bells jingle like a rattlesnake tail.

I've had this oc for @catboymoments Lumata world since before the Vivenite redesign and I finally got around to finalizing her design and drawing it.

Meet Qino! (Short for Qinoxuhuawhit)

She's a Beta Queen 1/2 Paintwing 1/2 Clearwing Vivenite (because I couldn't decide.)

Still not sure if she'd be on an ECLPS base or the vivenite homeworld, but I imagine her being someone who studies the cultures of other sophont species. A sorta xeno anthropologist.
