WELCOME TO ORBIS:
the perfected utopia.
A striated format provides for a stable, though imbalanced society. The wealthy flourish of the capitol, the impoverished humility of the lower districts.
â Which will you be part of?
Orbis RP, a closed, OC, Hunger Games based roleplay group.
Unfortunately we have to announce that the directory is being put on hiatus for the time being. The admins have been dealing with real life issues and have been unable to keep the directory running and active the last few weeks. Our members are, of course, allowed to continue roleplaying while the directory is on hiatus. We promise to return as soon as possible with a better, improved and revamped Orbis!
Anything about pets in this verse? Would it be something common? Are people more/less likely to have them depending on their district?
Pets are essentially exclusive to the Capitol -- they are not common, especially in lower districts, people would always prioritize feeding their families over pets. The higher districts may keep pets but that is up to the discretion of the mun whether or not that sort of thing is common place in their family. The poor districts would not have a pet, perhaps except keep a stray around or an outdoor cat, but anything more than that would only belong to those living in Victorâs Village.Â
Regarding activity: Because of the onslaught of exams and finals, Orbis will be disregarding this weekâs activity check to give muns time to breathe (and study!); may the odds be ever in your favor. That being said, the Hunger Games Event will be starting soon! So keep alert, Orbisians.Â
A closed roleplay based on Bioware's Dragon Age video game series. Whether you're familiar with the Dragon Age story or totally new to it, Skyhold is and always will be a place to let your creativity flow, improve your writing skills, and make friends. We want to be an rp you can be proud of, a place where everyone will feel at home.
> MUGUNGHWA ROLEPLAYÂ !
MUGUNGHWA UNIVERSITY(돎ê¶íëíê”): A slaughterhouse shrouded underneath a veil of gold, a top ranked academic structure within the nation in which it's prestige is just a mere title. High suicide rates, paranormal activity, crime, and even murder plague the university, causing it to become a speculation to most, a baffling wonder across the nation. Is it possible that Korea's top ranked university is nothing more but a myth, the center of sin and corruption? Â
Welcome to Mugunghwa University, where nightmares become a reality.
Can you please explain the class system a little bit more in depth?
Of course!
Firstly, Orbis is divided into several different classes using a very specific ladder system.Â
The â1%â being the Capitol, the upper class being District 1, 2, and 4 (Many families in upper class districts can afford to sponsor their children as tributes. Due to this, many victors preside in these districts and therefore families are lavished in wealth.)â the middle: District 3, 5, 6, 7, 8 and the lowest class being District 9, 10, 11, and 12. The gaps in society are substantially larger than those we witness in everyday life. There is a much larger gap between the upper and middle class and a small gap between the lower and middle. The Capitol is so wealthy citizens do not have to obtain work. People in the lower districts would starve without labor. If you have any confusion, feel free to send in another ask.
What district would a nurse or doctor character come from?
Generally any district has nurses and doctors, but their quality matches their economic level. District 12 has a significant number of pharmacists in comparison with their population because they are specializing in creating medicine, but their education level is one of the lowest, thus not providing people who want to become a doctor or a nurse with a good and expanded education. Some upper level districts may choose to travel to other districts to provide medical care at a reduced fee. These would mostly include dentists, chiropractors, and other specialists, since wealthy districts receive the best education of the whole nation and are able to learn and practice more advanced jobs.
[ BACKGROUND ] i. VICTOR OF THE 1ST EVER HUNGER GAMES, GALLIGAN MITCHELL from district 11
a man excruciatingly full of himself, favored lustfully by the capitol as the first ever bloodshed comes to an end. he is 17 when he wins by sticking a blade into the heart of a 12 year old girl.
ii. 9 years later he is married to aimie dorsey, a working class woman. she is beautiful, and his desires are fulfilled. they bear a child named willow. he loves the child but does not love the woman who had birthed it, finding his initial pursue to have been laden with shallow intentions. he stays for 2 years, then after, leaves her to challenge his fame, to see what he can he can milk from the capitol while simultaneously locking in to his job of a mentor full time.
aimie dorsey hates him. willow is too young to understand.
iii. she finds love in a man named theodore, and together they raise willow, then produce a child of their own â raine. raine is willowâs first love. the two are joined at the hip. they bring out the best in each other. aimie truly believes this is where her happiness can finally begin.
willow does not know she is not of kin to raine. she believes that they are fully and truly related by blood, no inkling that the first ever victor of the hunger games was her biological father. her mother decides its best not to tell her.
iv. they work by day, and humble themselves by night. dinner is always at the table, everyone sits beside one another. raine and willow grow up outside, underneath the blazing sun as their hands busy themselves at the top of trees, picking the ripest fruits come harvest season. they both love to climb. aimie believes she is free of galligan.
v. the 28th annual reaping manifests in the square of district 11 and raine is called to participate. willow is devastated. so is her mother and father.
three months later she is dead. struck through the heart. there was never any chance sheâd win.
aimie then after approaches galligan, screaming at him and pleading with him, confronting him on how he could have let her die.
vi. piercing glances and angry voices litter the air as willow stands firmly. 17 year old thoughts wander loosely in attempt to sew themselves together. she doesnât undestand why her mother is so angry, so volatile. sheâd never seen her mother this way. willow had heard of galligan â how he was the only thing granting district 11 any sort of pity. but sheâd heard of his selfishness from her mother, how she spoke so poorly of him whenever he came up.
but the way he looked past her mother, and stared at her with such kindness and compassion â she didnât understand how others thought this way. sheâd lost her sister, the thing that meant the most to her in her broken world and it seemed he truly felt sorry. the look in his eyes portrayed his failure, his guilt, how he wished so much he could turn back time. âmom,â she cried âplease, letâs just goâŠâ
vii. they return to the orchard, but life is not as bright. her mother was broken down once again, livid at how galligan had ripped everything away from her once again.
working becomes a chore to willow. itâs not the same without her sister. theodore threatens departure, hurt at how aimie could have been so caught up in frivolous details while the true crime was the concept of the games, how the capitol had let their child die.
days pass like molasses. willow is overcome with boredom. she ponders what life has in store, only ever truly questioning things when galligan was involved.
[ PERSONALITY ] if you asked her, sheâd probably call herself a badass â witty, intelligent, smart, cool, collected, fun.
willow is stubborn, sassy, enabled in her own right. she has a knack for sarcasm and loves to pick fun on others, especially if she believes they deserve it. she looks down on the higher districts, calls them petty and weak. to her, they have no idea what suffrage looks like.Â
she hates her job. itâs like jail. wake up, out to the fields, the sun sets, go to sleep. repeat. a tendency to skip out on her duties, willow is regarded as a trouble maker among her family. she rather be inside, relaxing. despite her discipline, she believes that working should be a choice, not an obligation. the root of this argument has caused an immeasurably large amount of feuding with her mother. but she loves her mom, even if sheâs âbrainwashedâ.
despite her love of relaxation, she believes that work has its purpose. she just doesnât want to be the one to fulfill that purpose. willow does her duties when she has nothing else to doâŠ.it just seems thereâs always something else to do.
[ BACKGROUND ]Â The most important entity in Sadieâs life has always been her family. Sheâs one of the youngest, only older than a pair of twin brothers and with three older siblings. Her whole life, sheâs been taught to cherish her family above everything else, because theyâre all each other has in the end.
Even so, she has very few memories of her father, who passed away when she was only five years old, after a mining accident led to the loss of his leg. Soon after that, his wound became infected, and that eventually killed him.
Since she lost her father so young, her eldest brother Cooper has now filled that role for her. But at the same time, heâs still her brother, even if he does do all the things she canât remember her father doing: working long hours in the mines to earn money for the family, coming home late every night but still checking on everybody to make sure theyâre alright before going to bed himself. His bed is the one Sadie crawls into when she has a nightmare or canât sleep, and heâs the one she sometimes tries to wait up for when he works late. And when she falls asleep waiting, heâs the one who carries her back to bed and tucks her in.
Sheâs close to her other siblings, too: her other elder brother, Callum, is a bit of a negative influence on her, at least in their motherâs eyes. He shows her how to be mischievous, how to take things lightly when everybody else is serious and dull.
Her elder sister, Kava, is the one who teaches Sadie when to be serious. She taught Sadie from a young age that the Hunger Games were not something to joke about, ever, and that she should never volunteer for anyone outside of their family. And since Kava is too old to be reaped and Sadie doesnât have any other sisters, she knows that means that sheâs not allowed to volunteer, which is fine by her since she has no desire to go to the Games.
She doesnât have anyone outside their family sheâd be willing to volunteer for, anyway. She knows what happens to people who go into the arena. Cooperâs best friend Roxas and his brother Leon both went, and they both came back changed. A couple years ago, a girl from her class was chosen. She was from one of the merchant families, who were generally better off than minersâ families. Possibly because of this, she was an only child, and had no sister to volunteer for her. The thought crossed Sadieâs mind when her friendâs name was called, but she never really considered actually doing it. She couldnât do that, couldnât cause that much pain for her family, just for some girl from her class.
And when the girl came home without her left arm, Sadie was plagued with nightmares for almost a fortnight, and she ended up sleeping curled up into Kavaâs or Cooperâs sides for most of those nights. Was she a bad person for not volunteering? MaybeâŠbut if she had volunteered, she knows she would have caused incredible pain for all of her siblings and her mother, and thatâs the last thing she wants. Plus, what if she came home without an arm? Or a leg? She remembers the footage of the girl being attacked by the group of Career tributes, and in her nightmares she puts herself in her place. The incredible sense of terror always wakes her up before she can ever feel physical pain, and when she wakes up she always finds tears on her face and cold sweat on her back. She still gets those nightmares sometimes, and itâs those nights that sheâs thankful to share a bed with Kava, who sleeps lightly enough to wake up when she hears Sadieâs quiet sobs.
For the past two years, ever since Sadie came of age to be reaped, the reaping has been a stressful time for her. She can finally understand what it means to be in the Games, and what happens when you come out. She knows that even if you win, you still change in the arena, and never in a good way.
She doesnât want to go to the Games, but the odds are not in her favor.
[ PERSONALITY ]Â Sadie tries to act tough and grown up, but everyone around her knows sheâs still an innocent child. Her family â Cooper and Kava especially â have worked hard to make sure that she doesnât have to grow up as quickly as they did, and she knows it, so she isnât trying to grow up too fast. But still, she does try to put up a tough exterior, and only shows her innocent, childish side around her family, plus a lucky few who she sees as like family. Sheâs always been a bit of a tomboy, preferring to play outside with her twin brothers rather than stay in and read or do embroidery or play with dolls or whatever it is most girls do. Her mother often wants to dress her up in old dresses of Kavaâs, but Sadie never lets her, though the exception is on reaping day. Sheâs one of the babies of the family, and she always tries to be like her older siblings. She wants to be fun and mischievous like Callum, gentle and firm like Kava, and caring and protective like Cooper. Since she is older than the twins, Flint and Tram, she tries to be all of these things for them, tries to set the same example the other three have for her, but she always ends up just being herself, which is, at her core, a good mix of all her siblingsâ qualities.

the royal syndicate leads seoul through the newest age of organized crime.
the citizens play normal. the police department struggles to maintain a semblance of peace -- all the while, a group of individuals called the ouroboros lurk the streets of seoul; with full intent on destroying and bringing down the syndicate with any means necessary.
when the war comes, the board will set & the snakes will begin to sing.
Iâd say a 7 out of 10! On some days itâs fast, on other days itâs semi-fast, and on other days slow. Itâs actually a nice mix that gives you enough time to write your replies and keep up with the dash. Nothing is rushed, since our members go to school, have exams, or work. But they all reply â everyone just has their own pace. :)
