Here’s a floor design concept I did using redstone. I didn’t see anything like around this so I decided to make it. I thought of incorporating for some build but haven’t used it yet. I originally thought of making it part of my survival base somehow
Oh and the big “tiles” use pufferfish entity sensors to light up when you’re walking or standing on them. That black outline has to be there because otherwise the tiles will interfere with each other with how I made the redstone (shoddily)
A wip of a brutalist... factory, or something.. that I've been procrastinating finishing for like 2 yrs
thinking about nether lava fishing. but like. realistic-ish. no "obsidian fish" or other such things
setting the issue of how do they not burn and die aside theres still so much specbio potential. how dense is the lava and how does that affect the organisms within? are the producers chemolithotrophs or something more exotic like thermotrophs?
perhaps ☝️ most of them they share a common ancestor and striders are a derived member of this clade, which is why they freeze outside of lava. a distinction, then, can be made between obligate and facultative lava dwellers
as for an incentive for evolving for life in lava. even most of the creatures of the nether dare not approach hot molten rock. and considering the weird conditions for certain chemical reactions to occur at all, maybe the first lava dweller evolved some sort of super efficient fantasy enzyme that only works at stone-melting temperatures?

The train station from This Post has gotten a new life in my most recent world, and this time it's being renovated into an actual library (like the building it was originally based on!) screenshots taken with various shaders including IterationT, Photon, and Complementary.
