rituals of the dark/earthy academic
- constantly pulling tiny vials out of the pockets of their trusty weathered jacket (no one knows what they’re for); collecting glass apothecary jars & bottling up home brewed herbal remedies - gathering to harvest from friends’ gardens; graciously sharing crates of their ripe plums or sun soaked strawberries, then filling up woven bags with generous helpings of fellow gardeners’ homegrown offerings in turn - misty forest walks to realign after a day of academic immersion; listening to the earth, following the river, feeling soil between bare toes - tending to a verdant windowsill garden; bundling organic, fresh cut mint + basil in brown string (to give to professors at the end of term) - watering a jungle of plants, afternoon lectures playing softly in the background - being involved in all campus sustainability initiatives; striving to be passionately well-educated on global environmental issues - being known for hosting the best plantbased dinners - maintaining a vastly stocked tea-&-pottery-mug cupboard, coupled with an eerily accurate intuition for what tea any given person needs at any given moment - local supplier of natural vitamins + supplements to absolutely anyone who crosses their path
