This thing is so cool im so excited it bloomed, it really wanted a winter rest. Hard to do in florida sometimes. fuckin weird ass flowers i love it. very tall spikes 10/10

Terrible news for the zygonisia cynosure! We got a nice rain the other day and i let it get some free water (were in a drought). Everything aired out nicely. But the next two days were HOT compared to the days preceeding (going from 70highs to 85+ all day).

The two newest bulbs were rotted out and pulled off with ease. Cut them off, uncovered everything to see what was going on now that the flowers are done and theres an issue - to find a damn floral foam plug surrounded in packed sphag surrounded by a layer of loose sphag! Hate that. Now its repotted into some leca after some research into how to grow these in fl

My first bloom with her, I picked it up at EFG in early September 2024. Cant remember what I paid, probably under $45, it was a bit smaller when i grabbed it

Zygonisia Cynosure ‘Blue Birds’

i bought her two weeks ago at EFG for $45. her flowers are already falling off but soooo pretty i love it. everywhere reputable online was $32-$37 but then id have to pay shipping and they were all sold out anyways

Bought myself a few plants yesterday. A purple thingy anthurium and butterwort (and plant pot)for non orchids. And a zygonisia cynosure blue birds ($45) and an Oerstede wallisi ($25). The zygo has two flower spikes that were all closed yesterday but as ive wfh today the one spike has begun to open :3
