Luffy when Cross guild is announced:
My bio dad's ex and my adopted dad's ex are in a threesome with my adopted dad's other ex D:
The crew (trying to follow what he's saying):
Its so funny to me when ppl write Law as being seductive /a top/ super flirtatious
No. He is a passive aggressive bottom and he is very insecure about it. He would be the type to not text anyone for a while just to see if anyone would reach out. He'd be the type to read way too much into something and get moody bc he hurt his own feelings and then have to be comforted.
He is a MASSIVE NERD. he is VERY AUTISTIC. He thinks he's so much more mature than the other pirates but he always rises to the occasion. He would be so easy to rage bait.
"JUST BC I DID WHAT U TOLD ME TO DOESNT MEAN I FOLLOW UR ORDERS I WAS GONNA DO IT ANY WAY" my guy its ok. we know. We know
Interesting things to say if someone asks for your pronouns:
Wouldn't u like to know, weather boy?
Thats between me and God.
Idk, what's not taken?
I'd tell you, but then I'd have to kill you.
Good/ luck
Ask me during office hours next time
Not telling HEHEHEHEHE

How did you know you were trans?
*I keep a little dirt under my pillow for the DiRt MAn*
A little birdie told me
Elton John came to me in a dream
Ate rotisserie chicken one time
Got a gender reveal test
Im not trans, I'm running from the IRS
Non binary terms for gendered roles suck. (No shade to anyone who likes them do what feels right)
Mom/dad= *parent* like no thank you imagine a new born learning words and trying to say pArEnT not happening and doesn't roll of the tongue and doesn't feel as personal
May I offer Taffy/taf instead? Easy to say and fits. "Mommy and Taffy" or "Taffy and Daddy" (or "Laffy and Taffy" for 2 cheeky NB parents)
Aunt/Uncle = auncle. This feels like it doesn't reflect the experience of "a secret third option" that many NB's experience. Being non binary doesn't necessarily mean you're a combination of male and female, and your title should reflect that.
Instead, maybe Endol. It has syllabic similarities to aunt and uncle while still being unique and easy to say.
Niece/nephew is especially bad. I've seen nix (which is ok), Nibling (which doesn't make sense linguistically), Neiphew (same issue as auncle), niephling (kinda cool, mostly weird and same issue as auncle.) Im sure there are others too.
Maybe instead, Nestlé (jkjk, unless....) or Nethlem, Nethamphetamine, Nethamatics
Ok sorry I'll stop now. Lowkey tho I may consider telling my uncle to call me nethamphetamine, he'd think its hilarious
Edit:
WAIT NIECE AND NEPHEW HAVE THE SAME ROOT WORD: NEPOS IN LATIN. If u conjugate it in the neuter, it would be Nepum I think.
This doesnt work as well for aunt (Latin root amita) and uncle (Latin root avunculus)
Ace wasn't executed for being a pirate with the added bonus of being Roger's son.
Ace was executed for being Roger's son with the added bonus that he was a pirate.
Hell, Akainu hardly cared about Ace being a pirate as much as he did about Ace being Roger's son. To him Ace's existence alone was reason enough to kill him.
And throughout Marineford, Ace himself is shown to be aware of that fact, and at one point says he'll accept either being saved or being executed. He accepted his existence warranted his execution, until he no longer does accept it.
Sengoku also put a heavier emphasis on Ace being Roger's son, than he did about Ace being a pirate, let alone a division commander of an emperor's crew. Sengoku never even mentioned what crimes Ace commited as a pirate. Ace having been at sea for years, you'd think he'd mention a couple of reprehensible things Ace did that would warrant imprisonement and execution. But Sengoku didn't name one thing.
As a pirate it's obvious Ace did break the law on probably countless occasions, but those occasions are never brought up at his execution. Instead, the focus is on his blood father whom he loathes and never even met.
Yamato is such an important character for how he represents being trans.
I personally find that I struggle with my masculine side. I feel like I have to prove that I deserve to be called by he/him pronouns. I tell people that I go by any pronouns, and while that is true, as an afab, ppl usually just call me "she," or "they" if they're feeling brave. The masculinity gets kind of muted and I'm not usually brave enough to say anything.
Yamato is the opposite of this feeling. He goes by "he/him" unabashedly. He doesn't need to prove to anyone that he is a man. He doesn't owe anyone a flat chest or stoicism. He's just.. Yamato. There's a lot of freedom to his gender. He doesn't have to be worthy of being referred to as a man, he just is. He's allowed to be cute and have long hair and it doesn't effect how he sees himself or identifies.
Yall think Gordon Ramsey is Zosan's child?
Zoro's short temper, Sanji's cooking
Sanji's hair color, Zoro's haircut
Idk maybe I'm up too late
Ace with his mom's flower :)
Mr. Loverman by Ricky Montgomery
Thinking about Sanji's gender again. I keep seeing fan arts of like a 40yo Sanji with long hair (yk the ones) and I think, by that point in his life, he's more gender fluid/gender queer/gender non conforming/ a-gender etc. I think they go by they/any pronouns.
During the 2 yr time skip, Sanji's masculinity is questioned and, although they go right back to being as manly as possible after meeting back up with the crew, their experiences with gender cannot be ignored forever. I think they probably go through a gender crisis where they think they may be a Trans woman and they try to be as feminine as possible. At some point they realize hyper femininity is just as constricting as hyper masculinity. After that they settle into their "gender mysterious" self where they live, not tied down to one gender. They can have flowers in their long blonde hair and stubble on their chin and be perfectly happy. They stop caring so much about how other's see them and just do what feels natural and comfortable. (They don't stop smoking tho bc they be addicted)
So.. like.. ik Queen is like evil and stuff.. but lowkey his concert look like the bomb
Gonna write a Lawlu murder mystery ish fanfic with Zosan background and no one can stop me :P
What should count as art in the age of machines?
The question: "what is art?" Has been grappled with since almost as long as art itself has existed. However, in a world of capitalistic consumerism and machines, the line between "Art" and "Not art" is quite blurry.
Machines, in general, are made to increase productivity. More output for less input. This has been applied to art as well. Machines make it easier to produce more art in less time and make it look more uniform. Example: hand embroidery vs machine embroidery. The woman on Instagram can embroider a whole paragraph on a t shirt in the time I can make 1 rose (I am not the best and she does it professionally-ish, but u get the idea). Is her work less "Art" than mine?
Machines take away a lot of the time and effort you need to put into a craft. But is that time and pain necessary for it to be authentically art? Can art be separated from pain? Whether it is the pain of learning an art, or muscle cramps as you hold a pen or needle or instrument, or the pain you work through via your art, I think it is inherently uncomfortable at least. Machines make art more comfortable.
By making art more comfortable, machines also make it more accessible. Everyone is suddenly an artist. I believe that everyone should have the opportunity to be an artist, but not that everyone should be considered one. I feel that it cheapens it in a way. For example, if a few students work and study hard to be able to spell and win the title of "Good Speller" then it would be unfair to give that title to students who use spell correct. I believe in opportunity, not generalized tittles. Someone who worked for a craft should not be given the same title as someone who used machines to get there. But the only reason we have machines to help with this is because of an infinite need to consume.
That leads me back around to my original question- where do we draw the line? At what point is machine intervention too great for something to be considered art? Is Ai the limit? Or are there other things using machines that shouldn't count also? Also, how does accessibility for disabled individuals play into this? Are there any machines that help them create art but, if they were used by an able bodied/minded person it wouldn't count as art?
(Ik this is Hella long I don't rly expect many ppl to read the whole thing- just venting)
Ace cosplay! :3 (be nice its my first one)
Can we collectively stop calling him Vinsmoke Sanji? He hates the name, he hates being associated with those people, he does not feel connected to the name, he has explicitly stated he does not want to be called that.
Imagine u disowned your abusive, sadistic, evil family and took a new name to honor your adopted father and the world keeps calling you by your estranged family's name.
Sanji deserves to be called by the name he chooses. He is valid and his preferences should be respected (yes I know he is a fictional character my point still stands)
Thinking abt Marco the Phoenix. I 100% think he and Thatch were a couple. So he's been thru it.
His partner (if u agree he and Thatch were together) was murdered.
His best friend was handed over to the marines and sentenced to death.
Durring the battle for Ace, he lost many of his younger brothers and eventually his captain and father, Whitebeard. He wasn't able to save his best friend and his family was torn apart.
He then had to take charge of what was left of the crew and lead while grieving.
Then, the man who killed his partner, his father, and (indirectly) his best friend started systematically eliminating the remnants of his family and his father's alleged bio sun started searching for a treasure that didn't exist. All he really has left is an island of people his father cared about.
He is tired, defeated, and sad and I don't think we talk about it.
