Other than New Zealand, there is also another country that i have always wanted to go to and that is Egypt! I know what is the first thing most of you guys may think of when hearing this country and that is heat. Yes, even though this place may be hot, but i am more interested at the culture and the buildings there. Ancient Egyptians made pyramids with their BARE hands, without any use of machinery. The Sphinx and the other pyramids must have taken centuries to make, and i admire the Egyptians' perseverance. The next main thing i am fascinated in is the mythology the Egyptians believed in. As a child i used to love the Egyptian Gods. I found how they look very interesting and their roles or powers very interesting. There were also many stories about the curses of these Gods and what they do to people who tried to raid a pyramid. However there was one thing i did not like about the Egyptian culture and that is: mummies. Now these mummies are not those that cuddle you or loves you dearly, but the rotten, decaying corpse that is wrapped with bandages. In Egyptian mythology, these mummies were actually dead soldiers, and their dead bodies are stored in pyramids with the pharoah to protect the king even in death. Now this is where the scary part comes in, these mummies come alive if the pharoah's tresure was taken. This absolutely terrified me when i was a child, which was why i did not want to go to Egypt in the past. However, now that i am older, i think i grew some guts, so i feel more confident in going to Egypt.
