Well, we met when I was walking down the street on the way to the bus stop and he leaned out of his car window and yelled āHEY BABY, LET ME SMACK THAT ASS!ā And it was just so romantic and it was the best compliment Iāve ever gotten, so I ran after him and now here we are, and weāre engaged!

David Tennant: Look at that! They have a whole day of every week devoted to me! That's so flattering! Wait a minute, adam's apple appreciation post? Hair porn??
Matt Smith: Do I really dress like that?
Benedict Cumberbatch: Oh god they know. They know I'm in love with Martin. Wait... it's all Sherlock and John. Whew. What's this? "Johnlock slashfic"? Well it wouldn't hurt to read just one...
Martin Freeman: I AM NOT A HEDGEHOG.
Tom Hiddleston: ehehehehehehehehe
Jensen Ackles: What the hell is Destie-- ohhhh.
Jared Padalecki: Why do Jensen and Misha always get to be cute cartoon characters and I'm always a moose.
Misha Collins: YUS. MOAR DESTIEL.

She wonāt be winning any beauty contests any time soon, but she is solid.
Actually, she's GORGEOUS. Get a pair of eyes.
Mal's not half bad, either ;)
Aside from looks, they're both amazing characters and when I was watching the show I couldn't decide which was my favourite!
what if this movie took place in, like, modern times? Theyād be like, european backpackers who commit petty crimes to stay afloat and then one day they stow away on a cruise but then get thrown overboard when they realize that Cortez is smuggling drugs on board. Then they wash up in Puerto Rico, and meet Chel, who is the daughter of the really rich tycoon known as theĀ ChiefĀ who owns the El Dorado line of holiday resorts, and after she figures out that they arenāt rich yuppies on their gap year, in exchange for not telling the police she lets them stay on her dadās property until he can fly them back home. Then it turns out the chiefās financialĀ attourneyĀ Mr. Khan is in league with Cortez and is planning to team up with him to embezzle loads of money and then ditch them all, and then eventually they realize Cortez has somehow followed them there and thereās a bunch of shit that gets thrown down and thereās a standoff with guns and they have to crash a giant lorry filled with cocaine into a police station to get the police to find them red handed and in the end Chel goes with them to Europe and stuff??

I found too many things about people ā teens especially ā only realizing that not saying no does not equal a yes once theyāre told.
So I made a thing.
Iām so sorry if I did something wrong, Iām not 110% sure what Iām doing, so Iām almost scared to post this, butā¦

Iām certainly partial to science on Tumblr, because ⦠well, Iām biased, and Tumblr is better :) But over on Facebook, pages likeĀ I Fucking Love ScienceĀ are daily reminding millions of people how awesome it is to discover how the world works (or at least that science memes apparently never get old). Earlier this week, the world āfound outā that the creator of that page āturned outā to be a woman, when Elise Andrew posted a link toher new Twitter account.
You can probably guess what happened next. To everyoneās dismay and no oneās surprise, most of theĀ 1,000+ comments on that postĀ expressed surprise that a popular page was published by a woman. Many of them took it a step further, calling her a ābabeā and saying ādamn thatās hotā and āsexy and smart!ā.
Listen,Ā itās 2013. The world is not gender neutral, and Elise being a woman matters in some ways. I mean, imagineĀ if the fact that a page like that is run by a woman motivates other young women to pay attention to science or gives them pride in their intellectual abilities. Thatās awesome. But every time someone expresses surprise that a woman could do it, or mentions their looks in the same breath as their accomplishments ⦠itās one step forward and one step back, and here we are spinning our wheels instead of driving into the future. Everyone needs to call this kind of stuff out when they see it.
I know this because I have been the guy making those comments to some women at other points in my life. I didnāt understand why what I was saying or staring at or equating was hurtful or sexist, much less completely ineffective in terms of looking cool in front of women. But people talked to me, and I learned. Now Iām trying to be an ally, forever imperfect, but trying to help others achieve what they deserve. We can all do that.
Biological gender (which doesnāt evenĀ beginĀ to get into genderĀ identity)Ā is nothing more than everyoneās random lot in drawing one of two chromosomal combinations (thereās actually more than that, but you get the point) from their parents. It doesnāt make anyone smarter, more capable, prettier, uglier, softer, tougher or sciencier than anyone else.Ā
Anyway,Ā go follow Elise on TwitterĀ and tell her youāve got her back. It takes an army to change things like this, and we science folks need to stand up for one another!
I know weāre on the Internet here, and anonymity will inspire trolls to say whatever they want, but the surprised overreaction from the public that a woman is fully capable of creating a science-loving based community is obscene. Ā I continue to receive sexist comments on my own videos: a favorite one recently was something like, āYour new name is Nerd Hot. Ā Howās it going, Nerd Hot?ā that made me want to vomit, so I continue to have to ignore them. Ā Also, there have been quite a few insinuating that I need to hurry up and get married, as if Iām not going to reach my full potential as a human being until Iām someoneās wife. Ā Also nauseating.Ā
A friend pointed out a while ago that the success of my channel is due in partĀ because I am a woman, which also troubles me somewhat ā why is it such a surprise? Ā In our lab, we have always had more women volunteers than men for whatever reason, but the demographic is skewed largely in favor for ladies. Ā I get that thereās a dichotomy of traditions here, and itās āunexpectedā that a woman would be so interested in somethingĀ gross, but thatās the mentality I would expect out of the 1950ās, not today.
Elise has created a fantastic online community that has fostered a general love of all things science-related. Ā The fact that so many were surprised that this was created by a woman - as if that possibility had never crossed their minds - is almost as shameful as the sexist remarks. Ā We can do better than this.Ā
People who don't like Cersei Lannister are
probably nice human beings (unless they are assholes in Ā general; in that case, they suck, but not because they donāt like Cersei) and I donāt have the right to call them āstupidā or āhorribleā just because they donāt like my favourite character. Ever. Ā Because itās okay Ā to dislike a fictional character without having to be attacked and insulted by their fans.Ā
I know you guys arenāt all Malaysians, or in Selangor, even, but even so, PLEASE. HELP ME SHARE THIS OUT. I am upset. I want my dog back. T_T
Sheās a friendly dog and loves people. Scared of the rain and thunder. Can understand sit and stay commands. Not currently wearing a collar.Ā
I am desperate to have her back. I really do love her.
Please please please. Share this out. For my friend and Hazel olol ;w;Ā
I felt really sad myself when I found out ;w;Ā
This woman has this tattoo to cover her mastectomy scars.Ā She did this to raise awareness of breast cancer survivors.Ā I think it is beautiful and brave and certainly worthy of being shared.Ā
Sadly another social networking page does not allow this image to stay posted as it is deemed as offensive. Let us see if we can reblog this as much as possible.Ā
