I was the first of my kind. A Tribrid, born of a father who was a vampire. It wasn't supposed to be possible, but it was for me. And I wanted others to have that, something that many always wanted but couldn't have. So I did it, but at a cost.

Sometimes the spells got the better of him. He knew it was nature’s way of fighting against it. He didn’t like using dark magic, but it was the price he had agreed to pay for Giselle’s resurrection, and he didn’t regret that. He quickly wiped the moisture away from his nose, turning his head in the opposite direction as someone else walked into the room. He hoped that they didn’t notice. “Huh? No, I’m fine.” He muttered, shaking his head.

“If you’re so fine, why do I smell blood?” she asked him as she set her bag down, looking around the room. “And it’s fresh, so don’t make any other crappy excuses.”

“Does that vampire have a death wish. Obviously your husband is going to kill them now,” she mumbled, mostly to herself as Elena drank.”
