Not many know that a young Chad Hugo played saxophone on Jay’s 1997 single “The City is Mine.” Teddy Riley, the track’s producer, was the first person to introduce Hov to The Neptunes, which as we know now would result in many, many hit tracks.

      Friday, I was fortunate enough to witness a small portion of Shaq's statue being revealed outside of the Staples Center. To be honest, I didn't even know about it until the day of. Coincidentally I got off work at 3 that day, which was around the same time the festivities began. It's needless to add how much traffic and commotion there was, with tourists, fans - on top of the regular flow of a Friday afternoon in downtown.

        As I was a child, my family would have watch parties often.  Any popular boxing match, or SuperBowl or whatever. That is when I was introduced to the game-changing duo of Shaq & Kobe. I was 6 or 7 years old, witnessing history. Each year they won, I became more amazed at the talent and chemistry these two men had.

            Personally, I am beyond happy that out of all the teams "The Diesel" played for, he feels that this is HOME. It felt great to see the city come together for a celebratory reason, almost close to a parade.  In all biased-ness, (if that's a word) Shaq is the most dominant big man to have ever touched the basketball floor. We love him, and we appreciate the memories.
