Flyer for "Seminar on Anime Mythology: 'Giant Robot and Super Heros' with Crispin Freedman" hosted by JAPAN FILM SOCIETY. Crispin Freedman is a highly experienced Japanese-English voice actor with regular fans and I look forward to listening what he has to say. 15% of all profits support ongoing Tohoku Earthquake/Tsunami Relief Effort via Japan Red Cross and Second Harvest Japan. RSVP via Facebook or E-mail

Overall, I designed to achieve an intriguing thumbnail on Facebook feed to draw the traffic. Since it targets a very specific population, the glance on its thumbnail needs to work as an instant selector of attendees. The composition came up quick like there was no other but when I look back know, it had an influence from Transformer movie poser. The color scheme attempted to relate to childhood nostalgia.  

The design process happened in an extrem urgency: the graphic request I noticed at 3AM was saying, "Need it Today." After all the hassle, its release got delayed for a couple of days but total work time was still less than 2 days.

I designed a pro-bono flyer for "Earthawake," a theatrical performance inspired by Tohoku Earthquake and Tsunami. All the proceeds goes to NPOs working hard on site. Even though I had another design, the image provided in the last minutes as key art drove the entire process to another direction along which colors, type, and comp were integrated. Both I and the client burnt the midnight oil to make it to its challenging deadline.

I designed a Car Magnet on behalf of JAPAN FILM SOCIETY.  No, it doesn't has to be on your car. Your fridge's door can take it too but your car draw public attention, especially here in Los Angeles. The composition and colors are made to send an unisex appeal from a distance to invite by-passers on the street and tailgaters on the road to make them realize its popular twitter tag, #prayforjapan along with the date of Tohoku Earthquake 2011.
