The designs for Hime’s Shun Shun Rikka seemed really sporadic and it was one of the things that distracted me my first time watching and also reading fully recently. I stewed over it long enough that I figured I’d give a redesign a shot, and overall I’m pleased with how they turned out.

I went a little heavier on the influence of each of their respective flowers, and tried to tie in their colours, in addition to the colours of each other and to Orihime as well.

Magical Girl Orihime~

I thinking she would be a fantastic magical girl heroine. She’s a fairy queen’s agent because she was born with a piece of the queen’s soul. The queen gave up a piece of her soul because she knew that she was losing strength due to a mishap in her youth. The fairy queen and the demon king have been in a stalemate but if she doesn’t help the queen, the scales will tip because the queen would have no more strength and that would be bad. Her job could be to fight demons that posses humans due to the trauma or moments of weakness. (Is that 90s magical girl enough?)
