As many of you know, today is Trans Day of Remembrance.
There are no words to express the utter loss our community has suffered this past year. Thirty nine of our siblings in struggle, many of whom were people of color, were killed in the U.S. since January 1 of this year. There may be others whose names we do not yet know. This is a time of mourning for the entire community, and we must hold each other close as we close out the year next month.
Take care of ourself today, and every day after this. Give yourself the time to feel, to experience, to love, to embrace as we remember these thirty nine names, faces, lives, people, and the ones who came before us.
We say their names - and remember their stories

OkayâŚafter sneaking through trees and buildings for what felt like forever weâre finally taking a breather. This is Alix. Basically he was like âokay who are you and whereâd you come fromâ and I was like tryna play dumb and he was like âdonât be stupid, your moneyâs from the early 2000âsâ and I was like âwhatever bye idiot, itâs vintageâ đđ˝ (But ended up telling him everything). Anyway⌠apparently it was his boss that called the authorities, and Alix created a distraction with his gun and saved me. WhichâŚIâm really thankful for. Who knows what couldâve happened?

If you are against BLM, you are unwelcome on my page.
If you support AllLivesMatter or BlueLivesMatter, you are not my friend.
If you think the riots are unjustified and irrational, unfollow me right now.
I am not black, but I support the black community all the way. I cannot possibly understand your pain or your suffering, but I'm with you. Now and forever.

HERE ON THIS BLOG WE GIVE A FUCK!! APATHY FEEDS THE MACHINE! WE ARE ALL ABOUT LOVING AND CARING DEEPLY FOR HUMANITY HERE!
Okay so we're all aware of the current job-classing system yes?
White collar - Office jobs, executives, doctors etc.
And
Blue collar - Anything that isn't considered a "good job" in our society
Well I don't like this. It lumps way too many jobs together and is overall really confusing. So I propose a new system.
Crisp collar, soft collar, scrub collar and no collar.
Allow me to explain.
Crisp collar - (literally talking about jobs with professional-formal dress code) high office jobs, executives, government and the like.
Soft collar - (literally talking about jobs with a business casual-professional dress code. Polos and the like) lower office jobs, janitorial staff, fast food, retail, teachers etc.
Scrub collar - (literally talking about scrubs) medical jobs
And
No collar - (literally talking about the lack of a collar on a shirt, t-shirts and stuff like that) trades, construction, volunteer work, childcare etc.
Not only does this allow for more classifications and more color possibilities, it shows a better representation of the actual jobs in our society. There can be crisp collar, soft collar and no collar jobs in one building. It presents every classification as equals and can give others a better sense of what you do without directly telling them.
Thank you for coming to my ted talk.
Fun fact: According to Greek legend there was a famous prostitute who managed to avoid a death sentence by showing the judges her boobs and arguing that it would be a crime against the Gods to destroy something so beautiful.Â
Before you ask, yes there are paintings of this. And yes, theyâre amazing.
I love history.
Role models tho.
The gay one
No, but this is one of my absolute favorite bits of history!Â
The courtesan named was named Phryne and she was indeed a renowned beauty, and was indeed was put on trial for a capital crime. And yes, the sum of her defense consisted of her stripping in court (helped by her lover/defendant) and asking the jury (all males) if they were prepared to destroy this.Â
But this is actually a very interesting case of Values Dissonance - the capital crime she was accused of was blasphemy. In Ancient Greek society, exceptional beauty was a sign of favor from the gods, and they took the idea that beauty indicated goodness with great seriousness. They even called their nobles Kaloi k'Agathoi, âthe Beautiful and the Good.âÂ
So by showing off her great physical beauty, Phryne was being very clever indeed, her argument essentially being âHow could I possibly commit blasphemy if the gods have given me this body?âÂ
God, I adore history.Â
âIf these tits are legit, you must acquit.â
And this is yet again another reason why history is my favorite subject.
What if we lived in a world where giant cats and dogs roamed the earth?
Thereâs even more pictures, from the second page of the link:
Never before have I so deeply wanted to live in the world of someoneâs artwork. Those pictures with the human just burying their entire upper body in the floof, they speak to me on a spiritual level.
I really respect the guy that just keeps faceplanting all of the softest looking creatures. Same, dude. same.
OH MY GOSH ITâS ADORABLE
OH MY GODS I WANNA GIVE THAT LAST KITTY A HUG

I can tell that my professor doesnât have ADHD.
I just told my dad and brother about this and my dad said âBut you do control your own motivation?â and my brother recoiled in horror so you can probably guess which one of them has ADHD
Motivation is a rare and passing favour granted by the stars. An elusive wind that comes and goes in its own time
WhoâŚwho controls their own motivation??
Neurotypicals, allegedly.
Wait.. people can control their motivation???
Allegedly.
@ neurotypicals: IS THIS TRUE???????? CAN YOU JUST LIKEâŚ. TURN IT ON AND OFF?????????????????
