“that’s just what i needed to hear but yeah, makes sense. a little bit of both but mostly just tired, i guess.”
ajayashby:
“Oh, never. Though I gotta say…You’re lookin’ very Carrie White right about now. Maybe it’s the eye bags. Keep it up.”
“thank god. that would suck. ha ha, very funny. what can i say? i’m a method actor. i’m working on the telekinesis part, though.”
“can’t tell if i’m dying or if it’s the lack of sleep. probably both. is coffee lethal?”
Hey kids! This is a friendly reminder for you to wear sunscreen. If you don’t, you’ll get sunburned, start to wrinkle. And when you wrinkle, that means you look old. Looking old means you won’t get any roles. Despite how rad you may look tan, wrinkles are so not worth it. And then not only will you look older faster, you’re gonna die not-famous.
You’re welcome.
“thanks dad. i’ll put some sunscreen on the next time i go outside. and by the way, can i borrow twenty bucks? and also the car?”
task #2
“ my home life? random, to say the least. it’s always been a whirlwind of foster home to foster home. i’ve always had my little brother though, parker. he’s my rock.“
mark-marking:
“Well, no one can be perfect at everything, but we can sure as heck try, right?” he smiled. “Trust me, I’m an okay singer and actor, but I still try to get better. But yeah, I’d be proud to help you improve!” He then lit up at the question. “Oh! I’ve been dancing since I was two, and I’ve been teaching at my mom’s dance studio since I was thirteen. Plus, being the son of an ex broadway star usually helps open some doors.” He smirked a bit before saying “But yeah, dance is my pashion, and if I can’t dance, I can choreograph!”
orion nods in agreement, “yeah. for sure.” a smile graces her lips as she listens to mark. she always loved to hear how people found their way into their passion and all of them were inspiring, really. it was nice to know that people from all sorts of places could end up in the same place and with similar dreams. “thirteen? holy shit, that’s awesome,” orion muses, nursing the spiked punch in her hand. “so was it weird teaching people who were older than you?”
bella-walker-white:
Bella giggles, taking both hands of the other girl and pulling her onto the dance floor, twirling her before saying “So, congratulations, daughter of mine!” She turned around to shake her ass before laughing and turning back around. “This is going to be so much fun! we’re going to kill it!”
laughter bubbles from her lips before she lets out a small yelp when she’s pulled to the dance floor. “congratulations to you too, babe!” she exclaims over the loud music, jumping a little. “living together is definitely gonna make it more real.”
deltavaughn:
“Aw,” Delta whined, locking her arm with Orion’s. “We’ll take care of you, then. In my cabin it’s me, my twin sister, my camp bestie, and your costar! So it should be a fun time,” she grinned, and her smile only got wider when the girl asked about her history with theatre. She loved telling people. “Oh, my parents are like – regional theatre royalty. Didn’t quite make it to Broadway, but they were definitely on their way before they had my sister. And when they had kids they expected nothing but the most talented, and even got Meg as a bonus! So in short, it kind of just…runs in the family.”
she looked down at their intertwined arms before looking back up at delta, giving her a half smile. maybe orion had been wrong, perhaps this perky blonde was just a little straight forward and but had good intentions --or bad. anyways, she was being nice for the time being, that’s what really counted. “yeah, that sounds really fun! just uh, let me know! i guess,” orion replied. she listened nodding here and there, widening her eyes to match delta’s inflections. “oh that’s so cool. my little brother is a drummer so i guess it’s kind of the same thing but not really. so you’re siblings are at the camp, too?”

rorypoly:
she finished up her chip and lightly dusted her fingers off before clearing her throat. “yes, i am. are you..” carrie white? she wanted to ask, but didn’t want to get ahead of herself. so rory decided to err on the safe side. “are you in the show, as well?”
“yeah, yeah. i am,” she replies, a sheepish smile coming on her face. “i’m uh, playing carrie.” it was weird to say out loud because that meant it was actually real. “i guess we’ll be seeing a lot of each other then!” she says. “--or hating each other, i guess,” orion attempts at a joke, a small chuckle coming from her lips.
Bella was having a lot of fun dancing with everyone. She hadn’t partaken in the punch, since she knew alcohol was bad for her voice, but she still knew how to enjoy a party. She had danced with quite a few attractive boys and girls, and made a mental note to hit them up during the week when she walked over to someone on the sidelines and asked “Hey, wanna dance?”
orion wasn’t too sure what she was trying to get at. the social part of this whole bonfire wasn’t coming as naturally as it usually did. it was like her inner ‘new kid’ was coming out to play. instead, she decided to wait for her liquid courage to kick in before saying hello to anyone. so when bella, a familiar face, comes up to her, she smiles. “hell yeah i do.”
cindyno:
she grinned then threw both arms up.“great to hear! i could recommend more dancing and maybe some sugary drinks if you wanna up the ante?” she offered. “i’m free for the dance floor for..well, pretty much the rest of the night! so if you need somebody to dance with, yeah?” cindy exclaimed.
she swishes her spiked punch around in the red solo cup. “oh god, if i drink anymore sugar i think i might die,” she admits, giving her stomach a pat. “but i think i’ll have to take up your offer on that dance,” orion grins before downing the rest of her drink, her face scrunching up as the alcohol travels down her throat and into her system. “let’s fuckin’ dance!”
mark-marking:
Mark held up a finger, bringing out his phone to take a note, saying the words slowly as he typed. “Lemon ginger honey tea equals sore throat cure.” He smirked and put his phone back before chuckling empathetically. “Yeah, been there. That’s why I usually stick to dance ensembles.” He then nudged her playfully. “You should! Even if it’s not a dance heavy show, learning more about how you can move your body is important for any actor, not just ones in dance shows.”
orion grins as she waits for him to write down the recipe. “along with some nyquil or dayquil, it really does wonders,” she adds, remembering the time where she had a sore throat during the second week of ‘mamma mia’ and almost died if it weren’t for the tea. “forreal,” she laughs. “i guess it all went alright though because now i’m here!” orion exclaims. it still felt so surreal. “yeah! and dancing is definitely not my strongest suit so i’ll do anything to improve,” she nods. “so uh, how’d you get into being the choreographer for the camp?”
cindyno:
she sighed in relief. “oh good. that’s good! thank you, i was worried i had cut off someone else’s fun. like, it’s such a fun night and i’m having fun but i want other people to have fun too, y’know?” she glanced at the punch table then her previous group of dance partners then shrugged. they wouldn’t notice if she was gone; they were pretty soused up themselves. “sorry. lotta words. i’m real peppy tonight. you having fun?”
orion can’t help but laugh at her words, she was far more enthusiastic about the whole thing which was a little refreshing. the whole night, she was feeling tense. she didn’t know many people due to the fact that she had cooped herself up in her cabin, practicing for her audition and callback and now that it was over, orion wanted to get to know some people. “don’t be sorry, it’s cute,” she grins. “it’s been a slow start but i think we’re getting there.”
rorypoly:
rory continued on her small quest for chips before turning back to the other, returning a smile. “no, we haven’t. aurora stokes, great to meet you. and that’s a wonderful name.” she took a quick bite from her chip and hummed. “i like some chips, but somehow i was never drawn to any types of sauce or ‘dips’. is that strange?”
“thank you. you have a great name too,” she replies with a kind smile on her face. “nah, i don’t dip my chips in anything either. whatever powder or flavor is on there is good enough for me,” orion muses as she loads some more things on her plate. “--wait, i definitely recognize your name. from the cast list! you’re playing chris in carrie, right?”
mark-marking:
“Family secret. Or just common knowledge that my family has. Either way, it works.” He chuckled before nodding. “Yeah, for sure. I’ll just have higher standards when I go back home, I guess.” He laughed again before waving off her self-deprecation. “I wasn’t even there and I know you didn’t botch it. Also, ‘botch’ is a word I’ve never used before so thank you for letting me try new things. I’m excited to see you perform!”
she nods in understanding, a few more laughs bubbling from her mouth. “oh man, i feel obliged to tell you something about my family, now,” orion says, pondering for a moment. “lemon ginger honey tea is the best way to get rid of a sore throat. you can even pop a raspberry cough drop in there and it works wonders,” she reveals. “i spaced out and forgot the words so, you know,” she laughs and shrugs, twiddling with her fingers. “thank you! carrie isn’t much of a dance show but i’m for sure gonna keep taking your classes.”
rorypoly:
rory was all but perplexed. if some of the punch was spiked, what else could be tainted on the snack table? for the most part, she was already over getting chris instead of carrie, surprisingly. the excitement of having a big number was enough to satiate part of her. spotting some chips, she took a deep breath and was about to reach over with a napkin when someone spoke up, interrupting her focus. “you’d think they would have some, but i guess a bonfire is a bonfire.” she commented. “one night to let loose before the work begins, i guess?”
“that’s true,” she quirked with a nod. her fridge at the cabin was full of all the vegetables she could have ever wanted, a night of sweets and burgers probably wouldn’t kill her. a stomach ache, maybe. but not death. orion’s fingers dance over the options before grabbing some chips and ingredients to make some s’mores. “i’m orion, by the way,” she introduces, sending the other girl a kind smile. “i uh, don’t think we’ve met yet.”
