im not christian, but i have encountered so many transphobic christians that actually hearing someone in a position of authority in their religion actively support trans people makes me feel like maybe there is hope

I saw this and, although I don't believe in God, I had to repost it. Like others I've also met many transphobic Christians who, although their religion is supposed to be based on love, tolerance and understanding, are full of hate towards the transgender community. Once again, I have no idea why they should feel like this. And it's just so good to see a priest who condemns this attitude and supports the transgender community.He is a true Christian! Katie XX

This is important. It relates to taxation and expenditure. In the UK Margaret Thatcher treated the deficit like a housewife or a shopkeeper, keeping the books balanced. She was hated by some and undoubtedly had flawed judgment but set a great standard for how to run an economy.
