Infohackit 2017 Infohackit is a research infographics hack event. It’s a unique opportunity for infographic designers and data developers to work with PhD students and research to produce amazing graphics to communicate data and information – all within an intense 12 hour period. The research we worked on aimed at establishing the age of lobsters. We focused on producing the design of a package with samples and instructions which fishermen would receive and use so they collect antennas from the lobsters. Our main goal was to make the process of collecting antennas as easy and quick as possible so that fishermen don’t loose valuable working time. Our final results consisted of a branded project with logo, illustrations and marketing materials, a mockup box for the samples and an infographic explaining the project and the different stages of it. The infographic was created in two sizes - small one to fit on the lid of the box and a larger one to be displayed in the office of the marines. In order to enhance engagement we also created a sticker that fishermen can have on their boat to show their support to the project. We had the privilege to be awarded first prize for our work.
After the logo refresh of The Restoration Trust I was hired to create the brand, website and promotional materials for their project Human Henge - historic landscapes and mental health at Stonehenge. The project is divided in two parts, during which the groups walk, discuss and attend workshops.
The final session for the one group takes place on the day of the summer solstice, and the other - on the day of the winter one. I wanted to incorporate the importance of these dates in the logo and identity of the project.
The Restoration Trust is a charity which helps people with mental health conditions engage with art, culture and heritage. They turned to me as they needed their logo refreshed. I used the colour and shape of the old logo, as the client was happy with it. I focused on making the shape more recognisable and enhancing the legibility of the type.
Refugee Week is a national annual event in the UK, organised by different charity organisations in each town and city. In 2016 I had the pleasure to work with New Routes and design the engaging materials for the events in Norwich. The events took place at thirteen locations, so we wanted to create an easy to navigate programme, which can also be easy to carry around and is pleasing visually. The colour scheme was based on the colours of the original Refugee Week logo - a combination of bright colours coming together in harmony. For the cover of the leaflet we chose the most iconic of all buildings in Norwich - Norwich Cathedral and we used the illustrative element throughout the materials. The illustrations in the leaflet were created only with a black outline, as we wanted both to balance the brightness and boldness of the colours and also to allow children to engage with the leaflet and colour in.
For the whole project I had the chance to design the leaflets, posters, invitations for the private view and banners to be used in the city.

Learning from Letters is the final work of my MA in Communication Design. In this book I captured the journey of my research: what is the communication potential of the handwritten letter. I wrote and sent many letters, received many replies, made models of rooms, photographed them, wrote about them and then put all of these things in the book.
Impressed. Lettering from my sketchbook.
