Hey what is your opinion on that old prediction about Sun and Moon where Aether was changing people into Ultra Beasts? AND for added stuff, what kind of Ultra Beasts would Cipher be?

I’d understand feeding people TO Ultra Beasts, but changing into them?

That would be funny, but I could understand that the human-like nature of these Ultra Beasts would draw stares. Like the very first incarnations of uncanny valley. Something that looks so human but they look like they’re out of some obscure dream sequence with no sound but

As we know Lusamine was obsessed with Ultra Beasts and she would force her children to dress as if they were UBs. Thus explaining why Lillie looks like Nihilego.

But why the Pokedex claims Nihilego can be seen acting like a girl at times is rather strange I’ll give you that. If Nihilego and Lillie are not at all related then that is something to think about..

Cipher’s Ultra Beasts would all be Shadowed versions of the normal UBs, I can’t really think of any unique Ultra Beast ^^;

Maybe an Apocolisk-esque Ultra Beast or a Colossus or… actually I just thought of something. SCP monsters actually would make great inspirations for Ultra Beasts now that I think of it. Maybe Cipher would have an SCP-682 inspired Beast, that would be pretty fun to imagine ^^

What if the Shadow Lugia from XD Gale of Darkness was from another dimension or a parallel version, that’s why you have to use the Purify Chamber, since it was explained in Colosseum that using the Relic Stone, brings back the happiest memories of that pokemon to help purify it… BUT if the Shadow Lugia is not from that world, then the memories from the Lugia of that world are not theirs, and therefore it doesn’t work!

Perhaps Lovrina found a way to open a wormhole to get her ‘Ultimate Shadow Pokemon’ from, and it would make sense given what XD stands for, eXtra Dimension (or something like that, I believe). And who knows, maybe Cipher has ties with Aether, they did said the one in Alola was only one of their branches.

Just a thought that occurred to me this morning and I had to share it.

My theory as to why XD stands for eXtra Dimension was because they wanted to create a line of dimensional invaders or something. These “eXtra Dimensionally” suited Shadow Pokemon incapable of being purified, summoned to wreak havoc in worlds outside of the Orre Region.

But your theory does make some sense. I’d like to imagine Cipher and Aether do have ties with each other, but their natures individually are too different to prove that. Conserving endangered Pokemon and building an army out of Pokemon was really the fine line between their goals. One has a legitimate goal for the good of Pokemon and the other has a far more insidious plot.

Not necessarily the same, but perhaps… and this is a theory, Lusamine / Monh (Lusamine’s husband) were involved at some point, deciding to leave and create a foundation that did the opposite to what Cipher was doing, helping pokemon instead of harming them and so on, but still investigating the whole… Extra Dimension…. and insert Monh’s accident with the Ultra Wormhole here and the rest of what we know.

Because, looking at the uniforms, while different, they have some similarities, not to mention the amount of tech both groups have access to.

The Aether Family having been defected from Cipher? Now that is a theory I can get behind. It would make more sense since Aether does have their technology and their bases that do sorta look like elevated compounds from Cipher’s desert lab. I could compare this theory with my theory about the origins of Michael’s family, them having also defected from Cipher immediately after Pokemon Colosseum.

Both the Aether and HQ Lab Families have carried over technology from Cipher. These families would then grow towards goals the head of the families wanted.

Lusamine and Mohn would have recruited new members and scientists to study UBs using Cipher’s technology they stole before they defected as a side project as their main mission would be to help protect nature and the endangered to oppose Cipher’s influence. Type: Null is

Lily and the Father with Professor Krane from the syndicate, went on to found the HQ Lab to study how to prevent another Shadow Pokemon incident using Cipher’s technology to invent the Purify Chamber. Also to oppose Cipher’s influence.

These two possibly detached segments of Cipher could very well have grown into organizations reflecting their father syndicate in their shared goal to keep Cipher from taking control again for the future. It would explain why they have their technology and style of architecture as we have seen them. Replace all the white paint in an Aether Foundation’s structure with gray and there you have it.

Exactly, man, thanks a lot for filling in the rest, but that is exactly what I had in mind, to be honest!

After all, just like Michael’s father and Professor Krane were able to make a snag machine by using Cipher’s example from Colosseum, the same way Aether could have made Type:Null, not only to help against UB, but also very powerful dangerous pokemon, like Shadow Lugia is!

For an Evice looking evil request, I’ll probably draw Nascour on his own later on, but I had this idea and tried to draw it out. Old men have the habit of being very deceiving in the Orre Region, except for the Chief of Police, unless he is also hiding something.

I have been wanting to draw these two enjoying some time after the whole mess with Cipher and what better place to relax than Alola ? I feel Rui would love Comfey.

Been too busy these two days, but it’s about time to do some art for Orre Week soon! Also, random comment, after ORAS came out, I had the thought of breeding and training for competitive battling my team from Colosseum : Umbreon, Espeon, Skarmory, Suicune, Tyranitar and Metagross. Turns out some of the movesets they already had were set and ready! So proud of the team, maybe for Sun and Moon I’ll do the same but with my XD team!
