Orre was hardly a place to send a naive dolt, but alas: Yuuto was there. It had been five years since his family first had a run-in with Shadow Pokemon and now his mother researched them. She occasionally sent her kids to Orre in order to confirm that no other Shadow Pokemon were being distributed.
He had stopped off at the old trailer car of a diner, hoping to gather intelligence on certain Pokemon. Surprisingly, he found that the small space was actually quite full. Apparently it was a popular time to visit. He ordered a plain cold coffee, then searched for a booth with available sitting.
“Excuse me. Sir?” He approached a man who was sitting alone and gestured to the empty seat across from him, “Mind if I seat here and ask you a question, or two..?”

“I looked up the ingredients! It’s cake soup! I’m pretty sure it was invented because somebody forgot about flour and when they got grilled on it he was just like ‘Oh, haven’t you heard?’“
Interesting.... “I’m sorry if this is a weird question, but... can this soup be birthday flavored?”
A Road to Somewhere
When one stopped to think about it, there was something interesting about the world that they lived in. For every city and town that humanity clustered itself into, the wilderness that pokemon called home was more vast and surrounded settlements on all sides. It wasn’t because mankind’s lack of trying either. Abandoned ruins were a testament to such attempts. Crumbling buildings, roads and train tracks that lead to nowhere, and ancient temples were all examples of this in regions all over the world. If you knew where to look, you could find them.
Ava came upon a story of such an abandoned village in the far northern part of Kanto. Curiosity and a desire to get away from her tiny apartment caused her to follow the trail of the story. Deep in the forest past Pewter City, an abandon road was found. The road lead to a tunnel that opened up to reveal a small town where the buildings were reclaimed by nature.
Ava couldn’t help but to stop and stare at what was before her, but she didn’t stay there long. Everything about the town beckoned her to explore. She did so with her Lucario at her side. They climbed stone stairs, peeked into the old buildings (some occupied by wild pokemon), stood on balconies, and rested in empty courtyards. A cool, damp breeze blew through the area, rustling the vegetation on the buildings and carried with it the occasional call of a native pokemon. It was a serene place. Full of life even with its past human inhabitants gone.

She’s craawling into bed, flopping onto her back, and throwing her arms up in the air.

Oops, my hand slipped. OrreSquad, DM me for links if you wanna hop in.
"Couldn't find an ask prompt you posted that would allow me to fingergun into the room, call you gorgeous, and then zip out like a cool and mysterious dude. The icon for that would probably be like, 😘. Don't ask how I did that with my mouth."
“I........”
She stood there a moment trying to process what just occurred and how someone got into the league unnoticed eventually quietly admitting.
“The finger guns won me over more than anything else.”
