nice! I mean id seen your illustrations in Cari's books before, but these are really good!

Course! The little kids at the orphanage also really like your illustrations, cause sometimes they have trouble reading the actual words but the pictures are always pretty. Of course we also love Cari's stories.

[Oscar pulls on whatever armour he was and grabs his crossbow, running to Elysium]

APHIE!! Aphie??

[Theres a dark chuckle and whisps of gold go past Oscar. In front of Oscar, a bit far away is an empty glass bottle with drops of golden liquid dropping from it.]

[He elbows the whisps as he runs toward the bottle, picking it up and putting the cork in to save whatever he could of the potion before looking around]

Aph?? Its Oscar!- its okay!-

[Shes on the ground a little ways away, her chest rising and falling in soft breaths as shes curled into herself.]

Aphie-

[He drops onto the ground beside her, gently putting a hand on her shoulder]

Aphie- its Osc- youre safe now-

[She whimpers and very slightly flinches at the touch. She seems dazed, her eyes only partially open and her breathing a bit shallow.]

[Osc moves his hand away and moves to be in her line of sight]

Aphie, its okay.. Osc’s here-

[Aph makes a small noise. Its quiet, but its the most she can muster. Theres a small piece of paper next to her with golden writing on it]

Youre okay now.. i’ll keep you safe-

[He reads the note, putting his other hand on the floor palm up in case Aph wanted to hold it]

[Aphs brain feels clouded. Everything was muffled.]

The Note:

Trial 1: Gold

-Potion is gold in color

-Ingrediants classified

-Should cause abilities to cease for certain time

-^ Did not work that way on the child

-^ Seemed to work as a sort of sedative

-^ Why...?

[Aph makes a grumbled noise as she seems to mentally get a bit more distant, her eyes dipping and blinking slower.]

A sedative..?

[Oscar’s eyes widened and he gently nudged Aph]

Hey- hey stay with me-

[She makes a tired noise.]

I- i need to get you home-

[He shoves the note in his pocket and moves to pick her up]

[Aphs eyes are almost fully shut. She flinches at the touch but she doesn't have the energy to pull away.]

Sh sh sh.. youre okay- ive got you-

[He lifts her and holds her close, starting to hum a lullaby to try and soothe her]

[Her eyes shut fully. She whimpers and is shaking slightly.]

[Oscar all but runs back home, going upstairs and gently putting her down on her bed, pulling a cover over her]

Its okay Aphie- we’re home- we’re safe.. youre okay..

[Aph curls in on herself as she fully goes unconscious. Almost as if she subconsciously knew she was safe and she didn't need to fight the overwhelming exhaustion anymore.]

[He lets tears run down his face as he gently strokes her hair, pulling the covers up a little higher and bringing Chomp a little closer]

[Her breath hitches slightly and her exhale is shaky.]

[Osc starts humming the lullaby again, wiping his tears and trying to stay strong]

[Her tail shifts slightly.]

[He keeps humming, moving to sit beside her on the bed]

[Her tail shifts again and silent tears roll down her cheeks.]

[oscar moves away, sitting on the ground beside her bed and removes his hand, starting to cry softly, hugging his knees to his chest]

[It takes a while but eventually theres a soft whimper and the sound of movement. Aphs eyes open slightly.]

[He quickly wipes his face and looks at her, whispering quietly]

[She blinks before opening her eyes more. Her body felt heavy but she wasn't as dazed and she could move slightly. She looks at Oscar.]

"H-Hi-" [She tries to move but hisses slightly and winces.]

Hey, you dont have to move alright? Whatever you got given hasnt worn off yet- what do you need?-

"I-I don't know..."

I can hug you..? Or get you a snack?-

[She whimpers and shakes again as Osc talks about touch.]

Okay- no touch, i wont touch you Aphie, its okay..

[She sniffles.] "sorry...'m sorry...."

Its okay- youre okay.. if you cant handle it then you cant handle it, its okay Aphie..

[He gets up to grab a weighted blanket and comes back over]

Heavy blanket?

[She hesitates before nodding.]

[Oscar’s very careful not to touch her as he gently lays it over her, smiling softly]

[Oscar pulls on whatever armour he was and grabs his crossbow, running to Elysium]

APHIE!! Aphie??

[Theres a dark chuckle and whisps of gold go past Oscar. In front of Oscar, a bit far away is an empty glass bottle with drops of golden liquid dropping from it.]

[He elbows the whisps as he runs toward the bottle, picking it up and putting the cork in to save whatever he could of the potion before looking around]

Aph?? Its Oscar!- its okay!-

[Shes on the ground a little ways away, her chest rising and falling in soft breaths as shes curled into herself.]

Aphie-

[He drops onto the ground beside her, gently putting a hand on her shoulder]

Aphie- its Osc- youre safe now-

[She whimpers and very slightly flinches at the touch. She seems dazed, her eyes only partially open and her breathing a bit shallow.]

[Osc moves his hand away and moves to be in her line of sight]

Aphie, its okay.. Osc’s here-

[Aph makes a small noise. Its quiet, but its the most she can muster. Theres a small piece of paper next to her with golden writing on it]

Youre okay now.. i’ll keep you safe-

[He reads the note, putting his other hand on the floor palm up in case Aph wanted to hold it]

[Aphs brain feels clouded. Everything was muffled.]

The Note:

Trial 1: Gold

-Potion is gold in color

-Ingrediants classified

-Should cause abilities to cease for certain time

-^ Did not work that way on the child

-^ Seemed to work as a sort of sedative

[Aph makes a grumbled noise as she seems to mentally get a bit more distant, her eyes dipping and blinking slower.]

[Oscar’s eyes widened and he gently nudged Aph]

Hey- hey stay with me-

[She makes a tired noise.]

I- i need to get you home-

[He shoves the note in his pocket and moves to pick her up]

[Aphs eyes are almost fully shut. She flinches at the touch but she doesn't have the energy to pull away.]

Sh sh sh.. youre okay- ive got you-

[He lifts her and holds her close, starting to hum a lullaby to try and soothe her]

[Her eyes shut fully. She whimpers and is shaking slightly.]

[Oscar all but runs back home, going upstairs and gently putting her down on her bed, pulling a cover over her]

Its okay Aphie- we’re home- we’re safe.. youre okay..

[Aph curls in on herself as she fully goes unconscious. Almost as if she subconsciously knew she was safe and she didn't need to fight the overwhelming exhaustion anymore.]

[He lets tears run down his face as he gently strokes her hair, pulling the covers up a little higher and bringing Chomp a little closer]

[Her breath hitches slightly and her exhale is shaky.]

[Osc starts humming the lullaby again, wiping his tears and trying to stay strong]

[Her tail shifts slightly.]

[He keeps humming, moving to sit beside her on the bed]

[Her tail shifts again and silent tears roll down her cheeks.]

[oscar moves away, sitting on the ground beside her bed and removes his hand, starting to cry softly, hugging his knees to his chest]

[It takes a while but eventually theres a soft whimper and the sound of movement. Aphs eyes open slightly.]

[He quickly wipes his face and looks at her, whispering quietly]

Aphie..? Its okay- its Osc..

[She blinks before opening her eyes more. Her body felt heavy but she wasn't as dazed and she could move slightly. She looks at Oscar.]

"H-Hi-" [She tries to move but hisses slightly and winces.]
