You really have to feel for poor Tritoma who had to witness two empresses abandon Amazon Lily back to back before the position was hoisted onto her shoulders.
We don't know Tritoma's thoughts about her predecessors after they both left Amazon Lily in pursuit of men, but she was fairly young when Gloriosa and Shakky left so I wouldn't be surprised if she might have felt some betrayal at women who she respected as captains and maybe even big sister figures leaving her high and dry. The Kuja certainly felt that way towards Gloriosa considering how she's a societal outcast by the time we meet her in Amazon Lily.
And yet Shakky despite also taking a husband is free to set foot on the island without anyone batting an eye. Wonder if that's due to Hancock's gratitude towards both her and Rayleigh for taking her and her sisters in after they escaped from Mariejois? Or maybe it has something to do with how the empress is also the captain of the Kuja Pirates. An empress can leave Amazon Lily to be with a man and return but they can't be subordinates of another pirate captain like how Gloriosa joined the Rocks Pirates. Shakky left Amazon Lily and is a married woman, but she didn't join another crew so she's still in the clear.
Back onto Tritoma, her succumbing to Love Sickness points towards her valuing staying with her people more than leaving the island but at the cost of her own life. Meanwhile her successor Boa was able to do something none of the previous empresses have by curing her Love Sickness through accepting her (very, very unrequited) feelings for Luffy while still maintaining her responsibility as an empress.
