We’re very excited by the Star of the South offshore wind project. The 2.2GW development could potentially power 1.2 million homes (18% of Victoria’s electricity needs) and create 2000 construction jobs. Although the project is still in the early stages (seabed surveys and environmental impact assessments) it’s looking very promising. The above photo is from another project, but it demonstrates the incredible technology involved in an offshore wind development.  For more information about the Star of the South project, please check-out our website blog.

As we pause to pay homage to the fallen, I thought I’d share one of the most affecting wartime poems ever written, Strange Meeting by Wilfred Owen. The poem was recorded for a short film directed by Alan Coltman in 2009, and was a collaboration between Sheffield DJ “The Black Dog” and actor Sean Bean.  I have been writing a blogpost about Remembrance Day (Veterans Day in the US), which can be found on our website blog.
