Lydia offers her a winning smile as Allison points out her car, & she starts heading in that direction. ‘ Well, if that were the case, you certainly wouldn’t be HINTING it at me, now would you? Nobody ever gives away their…big hunter scheme. ’ she teases, a little giggle escaping her. She tosses her hair & unlocks the car, opening the driver’s side door. ‘ You absolutely should. You’re beautiful, Allison, but nobody is ever TOO beautiful. I can find you some outfits that’ll draw so much attention, you’ll feel like the Queen of England. Just a lot more FABULOUS. ’ she gets into the car, fastening her seat belt & starting the engine. 

Allison has to laugh at that, although a blush creeps over her cheeks at the compliments. She still isn’t used to them even now. Her seatbelt clicks into place and she adjusts the strap so its not quite as obtrusive and then she is shifting to face the driver. “A Queen? That’s too much responsibility-- and attention!” The brunette finds a place on her jeans where its been worn threadbare and smooths a thumb over it. She guesses she could take this opportunity to update her wardrobe. “Is there a special event on the horizon? Or is it really just you feeling inspired?” Allison’s brow lifted suspiciously.

“Hey.” Allison smiled, following her best friend into her home after she’d handed the gift off. Bit by bit, the young huntress relaxed as they made it to Lydia’s room, the familiarity of it all settling over her like a favorite sweater. She plopped down in her usual spot. “I just wanted to repay you for...being you.I hope you like it.” The brunette shrugged, gaze flitting between Lydia and the gift. It was a silver necklace she had bought in France when she’d last gone. The chain was delicate and the charm the dangled from it was a small ruby droplet. It was in a standard jewelry box that snapped open and closed, but she’d added a touch of ribbon to it, tied into a bow held it shut.

lydia would be lying if she said that both the sudden appearance of her friend on her doorstep, as well as the gift being handed to her, didn’t surprise her. there’s more than a moment of hesitation on her part – she stands there, brows furrowed, trying to make sense of the situation. it’s 5pm on a saturday night and she’s got a hot date with a book on thermodynamics, so it’s safe to say she wasn’t expecting any guests. still, she’s quick to invite the other girl inside, leading the way to her room.  ❝ allison, ❞ she begins once she’s sat on her bed, a smile on her face and the yet unopened gift sitting in her lap. ❝ is today my birthday? or are you just an amazing best friend? ❞

It shouldn’t have been much of a surprise, the Argents often liked to threaten him with some sort of violence. She’s not quick enough though, his arm knocking the bow out of her hand the moment she has her arrow drawn. “Maybe you should save your weapons for someone that is actually a threat, Allison. You wouldn’t want to be just like your aunt. Scott would be too heartbroken over you being a hunter like her.”

Allison knew better than to incite a werwolf’s rage but at the mention of her aunt, all rationale left her. “And you know her oh so well, hm?” She mocked him, her usual warmth gone, the memories of the worst time in her life cawing loudly over every thought, like birds of carrion.

“Wouldn’t you like that? For your little Scott to hate me just as you do? Spare me your subtle guilt trip, Derek. Now, move!”

They opened a new Pull&Bear in the mall, & apparently the new stock they brought in is LUSH. ’ she tosses her hair behind her shoulder, eyes searching the parking lot for the car. ‘ You know, Ally, your father would probably be pretty disappointed at how quickly you YIELDED. Hunters aren’t really known for giving in to negotiation. ’ she’s only teasing, of course. ‘ But then again, ice cream is ice cream. Add “free” to that & you’ve got the whole world willing. ’ 

“Hmm and how do you know this wasn’t all part of my big hunter scheme?” There is a waggle of her brows, a held second of a serious expression but it all dissolves with a wink. “Lush, huh...” She trails off as she catches sight of what Lydia is looking for, pointing out the other girl’s car. “Well, I suppose I ought to trust in your eye by now.” She doesn’t hesitate to move towards the passenger side down.
