Growing pains

I feel the earth beneath my feet tremble, I once thought things were safe around me. Looking around me I see loss and fear. Communities broken.

 I thought I could stride, helping those I meet and care for. But the most hardest lesson that I review is; life has a lot that cannot be controlled.

 Any house has it’s own un attended cares, it's own design, a chosen structure, but the home I want to build has to be better than the one I observe.

 I too am trembling.

 I too am constructing myself from the soil beneath, I am giving and taking. Doing my best to leave enough of what I learn and have taken for the future. 

These aches tire me still, knowing I must go on, even after shock.
