Youtube is so shitty. They keep making my transmasc nonbinary ass feel dysphoric as hell by showing me ads geared towards cis women, like I literally had a dior and fucking eyeliner ads back to back two minutes ago. And the worst part is youtube doesn't even let you block their ads anymore the only option that shows up for me for anything I see now is 'why this ad?' as far as I know. Hadn't seen 'stop seeing this ad' in a couple weeks now.

If you click on the little i that says ‘why this ad’ it should open a window that has the ‘stop seeing this ad’ option. At least that’s how it works for me, if it doesn’t work then sorry for wasting your time.

Does anybody know the name of that one game that was developed by a lesbian couple that went full TERF? I'm looking for a particular article on their transphobia in an attempt to prove that the TERF argument of "It's about protecting women's safe spaces" wrong, as I remember *their* motivation being that bigots called them 'fake women' for being lesbians.

hi sera! real quick, i've looked at old asks about your writing advise and advise to starting an interactive game but i'm still stuck on a decision. What should i do first? write out the story/game i have planned or learn how to code first?

I know it doesn’t help much, but I can’t really decide that for you!

The whole process of creating is a very personal thing.

For me, personally, I need to plan out the story first, but that’s more because it’s become a seriously essential thing with how much variation and branching there is and is going to be (Book Three, guys, so much...)

But I have smaller works I sometimes dabble in when I just want some easy breezy writing practice or fun and for those I don’t plan at all!

Why not try it both ways? Write a chapter out, just go for it, then plan another chapter, write it out, and then see which you prefer?

I would suggest, if you’re not 100% on which engine you’re going to use (choicescript, ren’py, gamemaker, etc) at least put together enough of your game’s story to decide what kind of gameplay you want. Choicescript is great for text only, stat based gameplay but if you decide you want visuals or music or saving you might want to look into other options. Every option has pros and cons and different commands you have to learn (granted they’re pretty similar a lot of the time). Good luck!

Seriously though the idea that Choices is actually an inferior Episode clone and/or maybe Pixelberry is secretly the episode people is something else. Also is Episode more popular? I’m really not sure, it’d be interesting to see the numbers.
