Relationships;

Momo does find a lot of girl’s attractive, and despite that almost player like aura he seems to have around him, that would all change the moment he is given attention or acknowledged by woman. All in all he is extremely loyal.

The moment feelings seemed to be shared between himself and a lady, it is almost like direct tunnel vision. He will stop at nothing to pamper and impress, of course this has lead to many cases of the girl taking advantage of his chivalry.. and usually ends up breaking his heart in the end.

He does not learn however, he is a hopeless romantic and is easily blinded by what he considers ‘love.’

However,

the nature of the otter shifts ten fold when the situation is flipped and he is faced with another male who seems to have a thing for him. When he is flirted towards or shown affection by the guy, Momo’s unsure feelings cause his confidence to deflate.

He becomes super shy, and stubborn. The reason for this is still unknown to him, but it irks him to no end! As far as Momo is concerned he is completely straight and it is impossible to like other men in that way.

There are cases where he feels a little strange when being in the company of certain guys, and even direct eye contact when they smile at him is near impossible.

My weakness is that I care too much;

Now within his senior year, the otter has grown into quite the handsome man. Nearing the height of his older brother, along with maturing just a little bit more he’s found himself in a relationship. Long term with a woman who is anything but good for him. She is a little older than him, and much to his friend’s dislike of her, Momo is blind to how toxic of a person she can be.

She is often throwing fits, being both verbal and physically abusive to him at times. It does drag him down a bit, but given his nature, he had no means of leaving her. He knows she likely has cheated on him a few times, and that most things out of her mouth is a lie, but still he sticks around.

Manipulative as she is, Momo is easily swayed back into believing everything will be alright and she will change. She gets everything she wants from him, without questions asked. Treating her like the Queen she should be, and in return he gets her attention.

But this was his first and true love. Everything had been great until she moved off to university… she changed. Became controlling of his time, of his money but only when it was convenient to her. The night he had stayed over late at a friend’s house was the ending of their relationship.

It ended in an all out fight making him seem to be the bad guy towards her friends and some of his. Defeated the otter takes off to head back to Samezuka. (main verse; Future )

Friendships and Bonds;

At first glance he seems to be one of the most happy and positive dude in life, but this is not the case. He has a fear of being alone… Should anyone show signs of being upset or man at him, it tears him apart on the inside. Momo will not express this outwardly.

This comes from his younger years. Momo always tended to be, too much to handle, and because of this kids often faked their friendship towards him. At first he just went along with it, following the group of kids around, and joining in on their activities. But, it had become clearer when he grew older.

Watching his older brother, and how his friends treated him, Momo compared. Unlike Seijuro, he was never invited out to the movies, or sleep overs, or to go out with them at all, after school let out and weekends. Whenever the otter attempted to make plans with other kids to hang out, there was always an excuse.

Withdrawing from the world, at this point in his life, he felt the most alone he’s ever had. This was when the adoration of beetles had grown into a hobby. Collecting, and learning about various insects and beetles had proven to be the best distraction to ward his mind from reminding him of the lack of friends he didn’t have.

On a side note, the reason Momo was apprehensive about joining the swim team at Samezuka was because he figured they were doing it just because he was Seijuro’s little brother. A feeling he had always lingering behind him. But long since he has joined, he had found much companionship in a few of the guys on the team.

At least he assumes its the real thing, they’ve stuck around much longer than the kids in his past; especially Nitori and Rin.

Be BRAVE; Stay WILD

(One Piece Verse)

Life had been a little unfair to the boy. Having suffered the loss of both of his parents, Momo grew up alongside his older siblings. Eventually his sister took off on her own, and he was left with his big brother Seijuro. At about the age of 16, Seijuro had passed away due to an accident, leaving the boy practically alone in the world.

Now, from as far as he could recall, he had a love for the ocean, and animals alike. Taking one of his hobbies of knowing everything there is to know about species of creatures, Momo took on the job of explorer, and the title of Animal expert. Traveling various parts of the world, he wants to know everything, and anything he could, replacing his actual emotional connections that would be with humans, with the creatures of the world instead.

Mourning the loss of his brother hadn’t lasted long. He absolutely could not handle being alone. It didn’t take long for him to begin his adventure, starting off with a journal, a backpack on his back, and a net. Eventually his travels had brought him to meet one of his best friends, a small Toucan named Bobo, who was found abandoned.

Momo’s Epithet remains as the Sea Otter, gaining this given his love for swimming and adoration for sea food. It is not likely that he’ll ever consume a devil fruit seeing as his passion lies within the water! He’s also remained an avid bug collector, Having a little arsenal of beetles and the like he takes with him on the ship.

This little hobby meets newfound life of his does cause him to get caught up in sticky situations. Tunnel visioning some sort of rare species in the line of fire, or being stepped on, he will not hesitate to try and relocate it, even if it meant trespassing. All in all he does close out all his emotions towards the past, but the boy is otherwise approachable. He is not affiliated with any crews or factions of the world. Just a nature loving boy who finds passion in his research and conserving what he could.
