Advice for faking self confidence until you get some real confidence
Realize you are better than everyone in it.
If you’re worried that they’re staring, they are. Why wouldn’t they, why wouldn’t they be staring, I would stare too if someone like you walked into a room
If you’re worried you look bad, who cares. You’re still a god in human form. It’ll slip through regardless of how you look on this particular day.
If you’re upset because you’re overweight or have acne or believe you’re ugly in some way, don’t be. Who gives a damn, these people aren’t worth impressing and the ones who are don’t care about how you look. Look for those people. They alone are your equals and they alone can make you happy. All these fake hoes don’t know what they’re missing but it’s not your job to educate the masses.
If you’re worried because you don’t have any friends, don’t be. It’s not YOUR loss. I mean you’re pretty amazing. If other people don’t recognize it, then it’s because they’re too dull and you’re too bright for them to handle. You gotta step back sometimes, let em breathe.
It’s not easy being them. You have to remember that not everyone has the privilege of being you.
You know, if you’re worried about your future because you haven’t decided about it yet and have no idea, don’t be. It may take you a while to get there, but don’t worry. The future will take a while too. It’s fine to be careful about it. Just don’t get carried away or drag your feet for too long. The world is waiting for you. And there are all kinds of people like you out there who’re just dying to meet you.
I can’t stress it enough.
You might not believe anything I just said, but the beauty of it is that you can if you want to. Literally no one can tell you they’re wrong and if they do, kindly tell em to fuck off.
It took me forever to realize that self confidence is as easy as thinking you’re good enough for this world and then realizing that it’s actually true, you ARE amazing. If you tell yourself you’re the coolest person in a room, you are, because the only person whose approval you will ever need is your own.
You’re gonna have to live with yourself and you might as well love yourself.
I mean. You might as well. What’s the point of doing otherwise? You know something else that’s totally awesome besides you?
You can change yourself if you want to. You are entirely in control of yourself, your body, your choices.
You can’t control other people. But you are in control of you, so realistically speaking, you’re already better than they are because you can choose to be.
So you might as well believe it.
