After our epic Color Day group photos, we took our rainbow back to the Flaming Ugly Cowboy Saloon for some home-brew beers and a chromalogical Yoga-Twerkshop hosted by a couple of our campers. (Thank you Cait & Kelly!!!)

And thank you to everyone who came out, dressed up, played along, and made it another successful day of coloring around. Whether you planned your color weeks in advance, or stumbled upon us accurately dressed - we couldn’t do it without everyone.

Burning Man feels magical. Tycho is one of my very favorite artists, and every year I get to see him play to hundreds of people as the sun rises on Thursday morning in the outer playa. That feels magical. Surrounded by glowing, smiling faces, everyone there is always in the best spirits. It’s like he’s picking the perfect song for each shift in light. 

After his set I went up and put a Gold Medal around his neck, and congratulated him on winning the award for #1 Most Tycho. My camp mates clapped and cheered as he kissed his medal and accepted his prize. That’s something that would only happen in Black Rock City, and that’s magical.

Thanks for another wonderful morning, and more of my favorite playa memories.

I grew up in Nevada, so I thought I was just biased…but the more I travel, and new places I go, I’ve come to realize that there really is something special about the skies here.
