Really? Because the first five DCEU films are roughly on par with the first six MCU films in terms of money.

Here’s the bigger question: Who gives a shit about box office numbers? These pricks give the studio endless shit for supposedly only caring about the money (raising some questions about what they imagine Disney’s motive to be) and then fashion themselves as business experts who advocate a coldly pragmatic approach to the direction of this franchise.

One of the most annoying aspects of being a DCEU fan is how every motherfucker on the internet becomes an armchair expert on how the studio should be operating and no one tells them that they don’t have a fucking clue what they’re talking about. I take people spewing that shit about as seriously as I do sports fans who know exactly how a game should be played from the sidelines or what a player should have done the next day.

DC fans dress up as characters with paper signs out the front at WB asking for the Snyder Cut. Marvel fans spend 4k on a billboard to rehire a man who jokes about pedophilia and rape. Guess which fan group got backlash for being toxic and told to 'get over it'

If anyone is wondering why it is a big deal that older women be portrayed as worthy of love, romance, and affection in the media, I was just watching a red carpet interview with Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet, and people in the comments were straight up nasty to Lisa and baffled as to why Jason would choose an older woman. One went as far as saying they gave the marriage three years tops and that Jason would undoubtedly cheat with one of his younger costars…and some of these commenters were also women. It’s so ingrained that women do it to other women.

This is why I can’t stand to see someone dis someone like Amy Adams for playing an iconic love interest. 40+ women rarely get that, and the moment they get a breadcrumb, someone just has to attack it. Like, if you don’t like it, maybe you just have to miss out on enjoying CB movies…and that goes for all sorts of discrimination besides ageism. If you can’t stand LGBTQ+ couples, interracial couples, etc. you’re an asshole, and assholes don’t get to have nice things.

Ben Affleck Leaving???

Sorry guys, been on a break but I’m back. So why don’t start with another rant.

So I keep seeing bullshit click bait articles saying Ben Affleck is sick and tired of being Batman and that he no longer wants to be apart of the DCEU.

But where is this proof? I don’t believe I have come across any evidence, from Ben Affleck himself, stating he wants to leave the Batman role? I don’t think there is any. And by that, I mean an actual interview that doesn’t twist his words like 99.9% of Screen rants etc etc.

Who made this rumor? And why? it’s a continuous running gag that pulls down the actor and the DCEU, however it spreads throughout the click bait media with no actual proof.

If there is actual proof that I have missed, please link me to it.

I have a question for you.

When asked whether or not Ben Affleck would be appearing in The Batman, Reeves had an incredibly… long-winded explanation:

There are ways in which all of this connects to DC, to the DC universe as well. We’re one piece of many pieces so I don’t want to comment on that except to say that I’m focused very specifically on this aspect of the DC world.

My question is, why didn’t Reeves simply say, “Yes?” He essentially said, “no comment.” What do you think that means?

True, but this is speaking directly about 'The Batman' movie. I feel as though with this movie they are going to do a similar thing with what they did with Wonder Woman. A present day Bruce (Ben Affleck) telling/reminiscing his origin but with a younger actor playing him.

What I originally meant in my post was that with future Justice leagues etc etc where present day Bruce is there, is that no where does it have Ben Affleck say that he does not want to reprise his role as the older Batman. No where says this.

OP, you’re disgusting. Amy Adams is lovely and age is not synonymous with talent, intelligence, beauty, and heart.

Honestly, there’s a portion of CB nerds who don’t deserve the DCEU, MCU, or any CB based film or television series and you are definitely in that group.

Wait I think I figured out why the MCU movies are all so weird and just have all the characters slapped all over them.

It’s because Marvel doesn’t want to spend $1 to get a stock photo of a creature or a place or something related to the movie to put on there so they can only use pictures of the actors that they take themselves and just slap them all together. This also helps them capitalize off of the fame of each of their actors from the poster alone.

Meanwhile, DC has a stock photo of a shark on their Aquaman poster because everybody freaks out because they used a stock photo in the way that stock photos exist for, and they’d rather have a poster that just slaps all the actors on there and calls it a day.

And Marvel’s also too lazy to get like, a group shot of the important actors in the movie, and have them do some interesting scene for the poster picture (like Batman v Superman did), so they just take individual pictures and poorly edit them together.
