Here is the first post for my new photo project- and the only one that will have this much text!
On my usual photo jaunts around town to document LA's fabulous street art culture, I sometimes run across a variety of religious art in the randomest of places. The juxtaposition of a Virgin Mary presiding over an auto body shop- or in this case, a meat market- fascinates me. Yesterday driving into a new area downtown to find this mural done by Septerhed and Thefl, I saw an inordinate amount of these "ladies" which sparked this idea.
I'm not sure how long this will go on for or how often I will be able to post new images, but it's here and I will be keeping up with it as much as possible.
Along with shooting the art with my digital camera, I also plan on capturing all of them with my old school Polaroid 420 land camera. This just seems to call for film.
