The Penanggalan or ‘Hantu Penanggal’ is a ghost of Southeast Asian folk mythology, generally recognized as a vampire. According to the folklore of that region, the Penanggalan is a detached female head capable of flying about on its own. As it flies, the stomach and entrails dangle below it, and these organs twinkle like fireflies as the Penanggalan moves through the night.

hello, i am currently back in penang for chinese new year break and the weather is hot and sunny just like every year. however, over in singapore, it was raining pretty badly yesterday and from the news several neighbourhood was flooded with water rose up to waist level and cars were floating at the car park.

one of the neighbourhood which was badly hit was Commonwealth and i have a friend staying there. hopefully everything is ok and no major damage on his side.
