Progress on poster art for an Aussie indie horror flick a friend of mine is currently making. Funny how you are constantly finding new techniques in photoshop. I don't think I'll ever set on one style.

This piece is an oldie called "The Freethinkers Club". It's a run down club for the people in our world that are the creative, the aspirational and open minds that can feel there is something out there but essentially haven't found it yet. Not every idea is a success story so this club is kinda like the place these lost free thinking minds come, reflect and drown their sorrows away. The singer is the thing that everyone is seeking. The idea, the belief, the mantra, the lifestyle or the inspiration. She's just a shadow because she's the that something that everyone there is seeking but can't quite grasp. Although basked in darkness, she sings and comforts them in the fact that she's there, somewhere and that they're not alone.

Okay so we had a little start and then loooong period of NOTHING but now I've a new laptop and will and a way, so now it's time to start doing the art thing again! I'm a bit busy with commissioned projects but tonight I have none of the files I need so instead I started breakin in my new laptop (aka Dellhound). This is going to be a piece called "Just Desert". Guy in the desert with cacti growing out of his chest (slightly explosively). I was going to start on something romantic but this is the first thing that came to me when I thought "romance" so go figure..

Ok so here's my concept design of a mutant zombie bear boss. I did this up for a competition which, little known to me, ended before I even started but at least it was a crash course in using my tablet for the first time.

Pretty self explanatory really. It's a bear who's mutated under some wacko zombie virus and has developed a symbiotic relationship with the local bees, and has developed a beehive heart.

Our Rusted Parasole

So this is my new blog dedicated to my artistic and crafty endeavors. Currently I'll probably be posting art related things but hopefully I get my rusty tush into gear and will can start posting details and links to my products (art, clothes, accessories and random trinkets).

My manifesto? To bring a parasole of creativity for the world to take cover from the burning ball of reality.
