Scene Prompt

"A, wait," B followed A as they rushed through the halls of the manor, hurriedly grabbing their things and shoving them into a bag. Grabbing their arm, B swung them around. "You can't just leave."

"Let me go," A yanked themself away. "This is better for everyone."

"No, it's not. Please, just-" B let out a frustrated breath. "What about C?"

A glared at them. "C doesn't have to know anything."

"So you're just going to walk away from them? A, they love you. They're going to ask you to marry them."

A's face blanched and they started to back up, shaking their head. "No. No, they can't. I won't."

Tears stung B eyes. "Why not? You love them, I know you do."

A was crying now, grabbing their bag, reaching for the door. "Don't you understand? I love them too much to tie them to me forever. Just let me go, B. Please, just let me go."

I really love your art, as a horror fan and someone who grew up among industrial remans! Is there a specific place/items/experience that you pull your themes from?

Hey there! I'm so glad you're liking them, as they're probably the most true-to-me things I draw.

As far as things I pull from? The industrial quality is from going to work with my mom, instead of daycare. She worked for my grandparents who owned a restaurant equipment cleaning business. Basically just a big warehouse with wires, machinery, welding and vats of caustic acid. It was weirdly...magical? For me?

Other than that I draw from found footage, metal music and horror movies with practical effects.

By industrial remains do you mean old factories?

Inspiration Saturday. I wrote so many sentences for Wa2ndT and Suncreen (Please offer me better names for this thing about to have chapters!)

Patrick chuckles. “Thanks.  Kinda pieced that together.” 

“Sorry, a force of habit I guess.  Ask him about the wine.  He’ll like that.  He can have more than one glass, but just so you know, after one he tends to get really handsy.  Use your best discretion….Just be nice, and wear a condom, okay?”
