I have no idea what to post lol. What do the people want to hear? occultism? socio-analysis? leaf futurism?
While there is a lot of doomerism surrounding AI, I think its implementation is getting botched so bad that its probably going to hit some sort of major crisis here within 12 months.
Mass-scaling data center construction on the basis of predicted, rather than existent demand/use, no safeguards for employment, and they're eagerly trying to rush it into being the load-bearing technology of the dystopian police state before it can even like, replace no-skill human service jobs.
Its a house of cards built on hype and aura thats become the biggest bubble in human history, and everybody else has bet their house on it. Idk I feel like it falls apart over the next 12 months and the doomsday scenarios people are talking about now just kinda deflate
Kind of hopeful actually, all things considered it really is a revolutionary technology on par with the advent of the internet, and its implementation should not be in the hands of the lizard people of silicon valley and the senile lich in the white house

firm believer you can't be a ''good person''. too much niuance to life.
you can be good (adjective) but you cannot be good (identity)
if you think you are good (identity) you are more likely to cause harm as you don't consider yourself to be capable of it

One thing I do look forward to with AI is it being put towards exotic materials discovery, much of the skepticism surrounding the feasibility of becoming a post-scarcity or spacefaring species seems to rest on the assumption that we will never make a breakthrough as impactful as the invention of gunpowder or aluminum ever again
