she could only imagine how somewhat frightening that is to witness. although reina is considered small, vertically challenged, as some might say; her strength is something that most people seem to gloss over. it was nighttime, which meant it was time to do the pending tasks she had to do. yet after she accomplished her jobs for the night, she decided to go on a rampage on the nearest hilichurl camp which she spotted from up above the mountain. out of impulse, the woman threw herself at it. gliding from a distance, & paying very little mind to the traveler which she failed to see at the corner of her eye.
the moment that the adventure started a strong impact with her dendro skills, & drew out her humongous claymore, all hell went loose. a mitachurl was around her general area, but even it instantly shied away when it came across her wrath which she had no problem showcasing. creatures left & right instantly met their unfortunatefates. the ones that charged at her were smacked away, those who decide to go in groups were sliced into bits when she spun with haste, & the large mitachurl met its doom as soon as its shield dispersed into nothingness at the hands of her weapon.
every creature in her was in her mercy as she took out all her anger on then. why the fuck do people think that just because sheâs got her eyes shut, sheâll never hear a shit or two about the things they decide to spew about her.  âoh sheâs such a good for nothing runt.â theyâd say.  âsheâs a hopeless bother residing in their home.â theyâd whisper & chatter amongst themselves.
â they all need to learn how to SHUT THE FUCK UP! â   reina roars, finishing up the last of those inside the camp, scaring off the slimes in the distance who saw the absolute massacre happen. to think that such a small individual could cause this much damage by going on her own private rampage. though after she yells, she was interrupted by a high pitched voice which made her eyebrow twitch in annoyance.  â HHHAAAHH!? â   she turns her head to gaze at paimon & her companion which she barely noticed given his silence.  â who the fuck are you? â   yeah, clearly, she isnât taking very kindly to being interrupted in the middle of her rage fest. excuse her, sheâs not usually this rude.
Aether had to admit, he knew a powerful fighter when he saw one. The way the (rather diminutive) girl took apart the entire hilichurl encampment was amazing, awe-inspiring, absolutely terrifying to behold. It was brutally efficient and over in a flash, those poor hilichurl had no chance to fight back at all.
It was, in all honesty, quite scary.
And Paimon just had to go ahead and draw her ire.
Paimon instantly shrunk into herself the moment the girl turned towards her, with that blood-curdling, âHHHAAAHH!?â and Paimon herself gave a frightened, âEep!!â
It was more than enough to get Aether to spring into action, immediately stepping in and putting himself between this stranger and his floating companion. He was somewhat afraid, granted. After all, he immediately recognised her as a very capable fighter and thus knew she would be a daunting challenge if push ever came to shove. Part of him knew things would not become so drastic, of course, but anyone could tell that she was also under a lot of stress. Anything could happen, really.
âWeâre fellow adventures,â Aether would start as amiably as possible, âand we were about to start with a commission before you, uh...â
Aether gestured at the ruined hilichurl camp behind her.
âWell, before you finished it for us. We owe you our thanks.â
At this point Paimon peeked out from behind Aether, eyeing the stranger warily before turning her gaze to Aether. She knew him long enough to know what he was doing, trying to defuse the situation with small talk. It had rather mixed results in the past, though, and anyone could tell that Paimon was starting to grow a little more nervous with every passing second.
Aether was not oblivious to Paimonâs concern. He figured he would have to settle the girlâs anger quickly, and one sure-fire way he knew how was through money.
âSince you completed the commission, I reckon youâre the only one deserving of the reward. Itâs only fair, isnât it?â
Then, strangely enough and (perhaps) without much thought, he held out his hand in a friendly greeting.
âMy name is Aether, by the way. The one behind me is called Paimon, though everyone calls her Emergency Food.â
All worries were quickly forgotten upon that last bit he said, Paimon immediately sticking out from behind Aether and following up with an undignified, âHeyyyy!!!â which earned her a smirk and a light chuckle from her male companion.
Difusing with some humour might work, too.
