First Three

First image : flag with 7 horizontal stripes. Slightly desaturated Dark blue, medium blue, and light blue stripes. Followed by a white stripe, a golden stripe, a orangey-brown stripe, and a dark orangey-brown (almost black) stripe.

Second image : same as the first image, just the Dark, medium and light blue have an overlay texture of rain on a window.

Third image : same as second image, but desaturated way more. The blues become more of a grey tone, the golden color becomes more of a tan, the orangey-brown becomes more of a medium grey-brown, and the dark orangey-brown becomes more grey orangey-brown.

Second three

First, Second, and Third images are the exact same, except the white, golden, orangey-brown and dark orangey-brown are blended together to feel like the soft glow you see when in a dark room lit by a candle.

Color IDs

(1,2,3) Dark, Medium and Light blue are taken as inspo from the Pluvian flag, but desaturated slightly

(4,5) White and Golden represent candle light/flame

(6) Orangey-Brown is the glow of library book pages in candle light

Sorry for the very late reply on this question- And uh!! I'm not entirely sure how I could even explain how i do anatomy on the XFOHV algebraliens but i still tried to draw something out and show how I do it. But basically, how i draw them is pretty straightforward. I don't use guidelines to draw the shapes or anything like that, I just go straight to drawing them. These guys aren't very complicated to draw, so I don't really need the guidelines, I just quickly draw their body, then their face, then their limbs and them bam. Lil number fella

With limbs, I switch between "doodly ahh hands with barely any anatomy" and "actually putting some effort ahh hands" by emphasizing the individual fingers, making them a lil rounder (but there are other times where I don't make them round if the hand pose is a lil more complex)

How i draw them is essentially just coming straight out of the show itself. I've done my own observations with the style and integrated it into my own. So yea its uh, not that complicated, at least not really compared to humanoids or any other animal/creature.

If tips are what ya'll are looking for though then I guess one thing i can say is to just, study their body shapes. Go watch a few episodes with them and study where their limbs are placed, what they look like doing certain actions, and how their body shape works in terms of perspective. And don't worry about making it perfect because, you kinda don't need to, you can just make a low effort scribble and make it look like hand. Just don't think about it too much and scribble. You have to purposefully be imperfect, and thats what i love about drawing them, basically anything goes as long as your able to master their shapes.

One thing to really remember is that inconsistency can be your friend here. Don't force yourself to have a consistent style especially when starting out, just like how the algebraliens in the show dont look the same in different shots, you have to really let loose and just draw them, even if it might look wonky. The wonkiness itself is what gives the charm and the flavor.

Repetition also helps alott so just draw them often enough that you start to get used to it and you'll eventually get better at itt

If you wanna be a lil more dynamic with ur drawings, practice your strokes before you start drawing. Its basically a warm up, and i'd mostly recommend this to beginners, but it helps when you want ur drawings to look less stiff. Be confident with those curve strokes and let looosee

But yea thats, kind of it? I'm sorry if all of this is too unorganized or if it seems a lil confusing, i can make a follow up post with a proper demonstration depending on what ya'll want to learn about specifically. Just comment here if ya'll got any questions, i won't mind :0
