Please, reblog! IIt’s called self defense. Apart from having here, in the US, one of the highest cases of homicide and rape in the world and high rate of GBV, think about how this could help your mother or sister
Yes indeed#💯💯💯💯💯
Black girls deserve to learn free from bias and stereotypes.
Most black girls experience this hatred at schools. And classmates are not the only problem, there is no support from teachers, too. That’s why they get so affected by their school experiences. Black kids deserve to be treated just like everybody else, they want to study, they want to learn something ,too. However due to prejudice they are 5 times more likely to be suspended than their white peers and it can ruin their lives forever. National Women’s Law Center created this video to change the situation. Join the movement to help black girls feel normal and get the same opportunities everybody else has.

Finally something focusing on black girls!
Net Neutrality is Dead and You Can Expect Your Internet to Change on April 23rd
Yeah, no, I’m cross-tagging because the lack of attention this is getting overall is pissing me off.
Ajit Pai killed Net Neutrality. You’ll start seeing the effects you were warned about on April 23rd. Oh, and he apparently got an award for Courage from the NRA gun nuts, too.
You can still help by calling your senators and representatives. We just need ONE MORE PERSON on our side to get the senate portion of Congress to overrule the FCC’s decision to kill net neutrality. The battle for the net won’t end there, but it’s a start. Go to battleforthenet to find out who your reps are and where they stand, and CONTACT THEM.
Twenty-three states are also suing the FCC for this. I haven’t looked into it yet, but I assume big businesses like Google and Amazon are as well. Nevertheless, we can’t rely on lengthy lawsuits alone. The changes to your internet start in less than two months. We don’t have a whole lot of time.
Blow this up. Contact your reps. Please, do something! We HAVE to get the decision overruled!

BLACKFEET TRIBE STATE OF EMERGENCY!
We need food in Blackfeet Nation.
Blackfeet Nourish has been providing food for the Medicine Bear Shelter and Blackfeet Food Bank for more than six years. The month of February has been grueling. Blackfeet [Nation reservation] has been hit by blizzard after blizzard with hurricane-force winds. Many people around Blackfeet Nation are both trapped in their homes and trapped out of their homes, in shelters, and other people’s homes.
100% of the donations will go to food for the Blackfeet Nation and dispersed [by] the shelter and as directed by Blackfeet Tribe’s Incident Command Center.
Go to: http://nourishtheflathead.org/donate/ and please indicate “Blackfeet Nourish” in the message line
If you can’t donate, PLEASE signal boost! Niisiniyitaki!
Now that Trump's FCC has killed Net Neutrality, we all need to participate in instrumenting the net to document violations
Ajit Pai’s Net Neutrality-killing order is scheduled to go into effect on April 23, and when that happens, it’ll be open season on the free, fair and open internet.
But it’s difficult to distinguish network discrimination from transient network congestion, overloaded servers and other facts of life; difficult, that is, unless you gather data from all over the internet and detect patterns over time.
That’s why you should participate in Northwestern University’s Wehe project, which uses Ios and Android apps to monitor your internet connection for sneaky throttling, pooling data with other users to document the ways in which ISPs are dirty-tricking your internet connection.
This data will be vital to overturning Trump’s FCC orders in the next administration and restoring and strengthening the US’s Net Neutrality rules; the FCC is only allowed to act in the face of evidence, so we need to gather that evidence.

dear white followers
poc isn’t an adjective - i’m not a “people of colour blogger”, i’m a blogger of colour
don’t say poc if you mean a specific group of people. black lives matter isn’t about all poc. it’s about black people
you don’t need to tell us about every instance of racism you see. if someone’s said something racist about us & we weren’t there, sure, we probably do want to know. but if it’s along the lines of “can you believe this person was racist”? yeah. we can. we don’t need you to remind us
if you have a friend of colour, please don’t expect them to give you the rundown on every racialised issue you see. i’m black. that doesn’t mean i’m automatically an expert on how the modern beauty industry is influenced by india’s colonial history. i don’t speak for all poc - ask someone who’s affected by it
remember that talking about race is tiring. wanting to be more aware of it is great, but discussing exactly how white supremacy affects our lives is frankly depressing. please respect that we don’t always want to do that
if you ever say you’ve “got an [ethnicity] friend” so you can’t be racist to try and sidestep being genuinely called out for racism, i’m stealing your friend. you’re tokenising & they deserve better
poc aren’t a monolith & individual ethnicities can trivialise the racism they don’t face. just because you’ve heard a brown person say the n word or a black person be anti-asian doesn’t mean it’s suddenly okay
talking about our relationship with whiteness ≠ “making everything about race” & anyone who says that from now on owes me £150
this is okay to reblog even (especially) if you’re white

Do yourself a favor and learn how to walk away. When a connection starts to fade, Learn how to let it go. When a person starts to mistreat you, learn how to move on.. to something and someone better. Don’t waste your energy trying to force something that isn’t meant to be.. Because the truth is.. for every one person who doesn’t value you - there are tons more waiting to love you better. Do better.
