Women in all 13 colonies spoke out in many ways against this act, from women in New England pledging they would not marry until it was repealed to women in South Carolina signing petitions and pledges not to drink or buy tea. Honestly, in my work as a therapist, I’m seeing this A Lot, and tbh I still don’t have a satisfactory approach to it. A heavy dose of Existentialist “create your own Purpose” tempered with “when the plane’s going down, put your own oxygen mask on first”, but… yeah, there is no ethical way to work on individual emotional distress without acknowledging the systemic socioeconomic, geopolitical fuckery going on at the moment, and the sheer grief that comes with it.

I’m a guidance counselor/psychologist for teenagers and it’s getting really hard to motivate young people to work for a future they don’t believe in. 

 They look at ther future and see global warming, wwIII, unemployement, political unstability, poison in everything  they eat, the earth and animals dying all around them. 

I saw this video where someone was asking french teens in the 50s how they imagine the future would be. The war hadn’t been over for long and yet it was all positive with like peace and flying cars and such. Then they went and ask the same questions to nowadays teens and hell that was depressing. Some still had hope, but it was just that “well I hope I’ll have a nice house and maybe some kid” but there was such a hesitancy to it, like they didn’t dare to hope too much. 

People mock Greta Thunberg but what they don’t get is that when she said “you stole my dreams”, it was the truth. 

Young people don’t get to dream like they used to. They don’t dream anymore, they grief all that won’t be anymore and that’s just so fucking sad.

Hey, fellow Iranian here, I have some shit to clear up abt the entire Iran situation.

America has been intervening with Iranian politics since the 20th century, this isn’t the first time they’ve tired to rid an Iranian military/political leader and this entire Soleimani situation is just another stepping stone. Republicans have fucked up the middle east to the point of nothing but conflict or American capitalist puppet governments, and somewhat they think that what they’re doing is for the good of themselves. They don’t realise how much fucking lives they are putting at risk if they DO go to war, and majority of Iranians would probably be unable to leave the country whether it be financial problems migrating or safety reasons. 

The war is not only going to result in a mass influx of Iranian/Iraqi immigrants coming over to western countries, but also, it’s going to give alt right groups and other Islamophobic hate groups an opportunity to target us in more unwelcome political bigotry and hatred, meanwhile many innocent lives of Iranian civilians back home will be lost thanks to Trump’s bullshit patriotic Islamophobic actions, on behalf of the capitalist agenda. My family is at risk, many others are at risk, this isn’t a matter of fact of you joking about getting ‘drafted’ into the war, or ‘hahahahaha we’re in ww3 hahaha im gonna get drafted to Iran’, LITERAL INNOCENT LIVES ARE AT RISK.

interestingly enough inside one of the superman movie cases was actually 3 dvds

there was another copy of superman ¾

if you recall in a previous update i had already found 3 discs of superman ¾

the count has gone up to 6 superman ¾ discs while only just today finding 2 superman ½ discs

who owns these dvds all in bulk

why are they being separated only to be disposed of in pairs or threes in front of my house

im sorry this has been such an obscenely long post but i have a feeling its only going to get longer from here on out
