Oh man, this is shocking to me. Persepolis was so influential to me and I've seen people quote her without even knowing they were doing so. Rest in peace

Random thing for people to consider is that since Laika is the saint of one way trips should Felicette be known as the saint of safe landings since she did make it back to the ground safely

A new illustrated short story by Susanna Clarke will be published on 20 October 2026!
From the internationally bestselling and prize-winning author of Piranesi and Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell, an enchanting and haunting illustrated short story full of medieval magic
1110 A.D. The fairy host sweeps across the North of England and the city of Durham is under siege. Wearily the Bishop of Durham, Ranulf Flambard, prepares to surrender – something which proves far more difficult than he could have imagined.
His quest will lead him through a landscape of unco-operative rivers and enchanted forests to a New Castle on the banks of the River Tyne – where, with any luck, he will be received by a court of deceptive, would-be fairy queens, shape-shifting stags and a beautiful teenage Raven King.
A long-lost chapter in the lore of Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell, The Bishop of Durham Attempts to Surrender the City is an enchanting and enchanted adventure into the magic of medieval England.
AT LONG LAST
I HATE REDDIT this is in the comments of a woman asking for opinions on the outfit shes wearing to a festival:
the outfit that may "invite harassment from men and therefore shouldnt be worn":
like if i had any criticism of the fit its just not that flashy or unique and that the skirt would be cumbersome in a portapotty. but my god, putting her in danger from men with wandering hands??? as if men assaulting her would be her fault if she wore this? bad men will harass a woman wearing a tshirt and pj pants at 7-11. good men will not disrespect a woman even if shes nude. i do not tolerate disrespect even in my skimpiest of outfits. if a man is evil and deranged enough to choose to harass or assault me, he would do that regardless of what im wearing. nothing gives anyone the right to violate anyone elses physical boundaries. but shes not even that exposed anyways??
having another moment of "why do i even bother with reddit" like yes ive learned a lot about various conditions and situations on there but the majority of the userbase is soo curmudgeonly and lame and square
you could wear this to a semi-liberal summer wedding and it would be completely fine, we are living in a modern nadir of basic public behavioral liberty for women
Frankly I'm more worried about the shadow-person looming into the changing room...

ASHI STUDIO “Fashion is Art” Dress 2026 pls help me get out of debt donating to: ko-fi.com/fashionrunways or dinahlance-shop.fourthwall.com “This couture dress draws its inspiration from bronze sculptures in Indian culture and depictions of deities, reinterpreting their characteristic lines and draped forms in a contemporary way. The curves and folds have been carefully studied and translated into the structure of the garment, creating a silhouette that feels both fluid and defined. The entire piece is built around a bronze tone, treated to resemble naturally oxidized metal. Shades of blue and green are hand-painted using a trompe-l’œil technique to evoke the patina seen on ancient statues, giving the surface depth and variation. From the construction of the corset to the draping of the skirt, each element required precision and coordination. Over 200 hours were dedicated to crafting the garment, with an additional 200 hours spent on hand painting to achieve the final finish. Developed over several months, this piece reflects a balance between craftsmanship, material research, and a clear visual direction.”

Okay, but the runs in her stockings! She starts out with beautiful, clearly new stockings, and then over the course of the video they get shredded, then there's a close up on a scrape on her leg that looks like it's from a wire - oh there's themes there!
