wanna talk a bit about how in some religious guilt medias, the guilt is never one sided while the cause and reasons could be different..one of them suffers from their inner turmoil, wavering faith while the other one goes through an agony watching their loved one's suffering due to their own feelings.. there's also could be a bit of self blame there but Barth is someone who believes in his own heart, he believes he's not wrong for loving a boy who apparently has hard time accepting his own feelings and views it as a sin

realisation hits him like a clasp of thunder that Tanrak might choose God over him, his own desire, and it triggers his abandonment issues..he goes to God as if asking WHY.
