yankees will see 16 million canadians harmed by ongoing wildfires and act like we set them on purpose. meanwhile six first nations communities are under emergency evacuation protocol, one has been completely destroyed, and the entire province (1.5x the size of texas in freedom units) has the netflix mexico piss filter over it. but sure, it sucks that you can't sit by the pool!

I usually redraw an old drawing each year to see my improvements but last year has been awful and I’ve drawn so little since than that I feel I lost a lot of skills.

I hope it will come back at some point with some patience and perseverance 💖.

As promised, here’s the Lorcana Winterspell cards with Elsa and Anna 🥹💖.

Wow these designs for Anna and Elsa are….terrible. Terrible because they do not suit them. Elsa’s design doesn’t scream “snow queen” its giving me rainbow pastel plant queen. Like looking at the artbooks they have a very specific color scheme for Elsa: its either mostly blue, purple, magenta, emerald, black, white. NOT RAINBOW.

Anna’s design looks too dark and sophisticated when she’s supposed to more jubilant and carefree. Anna is very active and likes to move around so she wouldn’t wear this long glittery cape that would stifle her movement. Personally, Anna looks like she isn’t going for her own style but trying to emulate Elsa …and thats a problem. Anna is supposed to be her own person, simple and cheerful and free which always showed in her personal style. Not trying to look like Elsa.

Once again this is Disney showing us they have no idea who these characters. They seem to be leaning hard on Frozen 2 for inspiration which is a problem given the poor characterization.

It makes me worry for frozen 3. If they’re doing this in their lorcana cards, how are they going to accurately represent anna and elsa?

Are they planning on keeping Anna as queen, cutting away at her personality, making her more and more like Elsa so she ends up as a discount Elsa?

Are they going to lean even harder on Elsa’s fifth spirit concept? Stripping away her humanity and her former status as The Snow Queen until she is totally divorced from her humanity and origins she had in the first film?

By the way, Lorcana winter spell story is a retale of Frozen 1 in the world of Lorcana that is absolutely not related to frozen 3, but anyway, it’s an easy google research.

The girls with their “ugly flower dresses” reflect an event in the Lorcana lore where alternative versions of mostly all Disney characters exist (floodborn).
