Chill space. Finding my way back to Criminal Minds and Evolution. Fairy Tail/100 years quest Seven Deadly Sins/Four Knights of the Apocalypse. Probably some Eden's Zero once I catch up. Occasional art and lingustics. Will try to tag everything accordingly. Cheers
From the future past. Because this may have been written a week ago, when certain unfortunate events transpired regarding the episode. Maybe.
Long ass recaps once again
Dark creepy place, there we go.
Although this is not how I imagined those American storage units. Did the reality shows lie to me?? it can't be lol
Yuck. Honestly I think the main reason I could never work in any emergency or first responder position is because I can't deal with smells. The mental toll, the visuals, I could manage those, at least for a while I think. Smell? Nah, I'm throwing up on the spot.
Umm, I'm sorry maybe check if he's alive??? Maybe?? Shouldn't that be like the first thing on your list? I know he's a piece of shit but if he's still alive you have to get him out of there. Also he's a witness.
Okay, finally, someone, thanks Tyler. Sorry for constantly forgetting you exist. I don't actually dislike you
We are humanizing Brian to the point where I really am genuinely fearful for his safety lol Also ironic that he has been one of the most entertaining portions of this season so far
"I'm sorry to say this but I'm very happy to hear that" Emily pls lmao
I hope we actually get to see a fancy trashcan later.
"Is Brian Garrity moonlighting as the janitor of the FBI?" No but he should be
Eight brands? So he's doing it one by one? I though it was like...one of those stamps lol My colleague has one where he can change the letters in a row. (Originally he bought it so he could write "good job" and stuff on kids' tests but...now it just says "dick" and he uses it to leave kind messages on our other colleague's desk as a nice surprise every now and again. Professional working environment)
"Why doesn't it hurt" probably killed the nerves I guess
Yeah exactly
This is heartwarming and all but he wssn't just "an ass" he was a narcissistic stalker which I think is a lot more complicated than "hey I decided to change". Like dude you need some professional help first lol
"Right in our backyard" again why are so close to home all the time? What happened to going around the country solving serial cases?
Oh no is this an onlyfans episode
And why is it two. Like I know this sounds strange but we only talk about serial cases from at least 3 confirmed instances. Why are we involved this early
You don't need to do all'at just track their IP.
Who is Laura Boyd and what tree are we talking about
Oh yeah the girl from before. That was also bullshit I'm sorry. Hey that's a tree from a state where this tree grows often. Must be that. Yeah, sure. Trees are well known for only growing within certain US state lines and nowhere else. They are especially concerned about man made borders that were literally drawn with rulers.
The leather belt connection is paper thin. And still no explanation why the BAU is involved this early
Yeah and not just his MO, if he wanted to "prove" he's not pathetic and wanted you to know it was him he would have left a more explicit clue, no? You wouldn't need to guess whether it was him or not
I enjoyed this round table scene. Why did we need to wait 6 episodes for this
"Hell if the devil was a dominatrix" That's a mouthful
Okay I didn't expect to get a sneak peek of porn with a horrible green screen. You know someone had a time of their life with this episode
Oh it's a tv not a green screen my bad
Ah this feels so...stilted? Like "hey see we did our research! we understand terminology! see!" It's like a writers had a checklist lol
safeword? check
aftercare routine? check
Do camgirls get copyright striked? I never though about that, but surely this is technically a registered business venture, they are making money, so if they use copyrighted songs in the bg than that's is subject to some kind of compensation/fine, no?
Yeah like I really don't think it's easy to suffocate someone with money bills
"Mr. Pathetic" love it lol
"He could have traded with another collector" or maybe he just had one. Inherited them maybe
"livestream murders in Mexico last year" never heard of them to be completely honest
Oh my god the guy pretending to be the camgirl lol The fact that this is a legitimate job is so weird. Also apparently a lot of these "management" companies screw over the actual camgirls with revenues and stuff
So it's not about femicide actually
I had to google "The Deep" but you know what I get it. I see it.
Yeah Tyler is me apparently
I know it's not the time but JJ is incredibly pretty
"Like Derek Brown. Remember him?" No, actually.
Is that Yvette Nicole Brown??? Shirley??
She works for the IRS? lmao
Oh I would freak the fuck out
See this is the point where I truly tire of Elias. Also Brian is defo dying at some point lmao
"It's yours" oh fuck off
Well surely we can find a couple differences. Like not murdering 60+ people I would categorize as quite the difference
Sigh, again, the gen z bingo checklist. Muckbang
"Without saying where they live" don't they live like literally streets away from each other?
"That's exactly 20% of..." Yeah I can't count that fast JJ
Playing darts helps you with arithmetics?
"Route...root..., different direction" valid
Who the fuck makes leather belts out of stringrays
"Obsessed with Charlie's angels" again, very valid
"misses when his wife would laugh at his jokes" not gonna lie that's pretty sad
"100 for 🐱 flash" things I wasn't prepared for
His son maybe? Angry that his father was spending money on things like that?
I mean to be fair that is also a kind of addiction, no? It's crazy how easy it is to genuinely manipulate the elderly...
Aw Brian is going to Emily.
Was it Garcia?
It was Garcia
Why tho lol
I'm...glad something actually...happened? We only needed 6 episodes for that. But maybe we are moving...somewhere? Finally?
The issues I had in previous episodes still prevail but maybe we've hit a point where we can get something resembling a plot.
Oh this looks like a training excercise program thingy. They seem like rookies.
Yeah we know this guy. Though him and the girl are good actors within this context lol
Okay maybe not training?
So it is?!
What do you mean you need medical, he done got shot in the head I don't think medical can do much here.
But okay, interesting twist I actually didn't see coming.
Billy just straight up accidentally killed someone so I guess he can be a bit distraught.
God knows I know absolutely nothing about guns but the whole blanks vs live rounds switcheroo always seemed so strange to me? Do they really weigh and feel the same?
"Medical's coming" Again he got shot in the head but maybe I'm of little ye faith
"He's dead" Well, yes, as I previously mentioned he got shot in the head. Why are we surprised about that
"We have an active shooter" Okay? It really doesn't seem like Billy wants to go on a rampage here to be completely honest with you?
"You don't want any more blood on your hands" That really is the worst absolute possible way to approach this situation
"What were you thinking" Okay, is it their personal weaponry or do they just get their training stuff handed to them? Because if it is the former than sure I get the reaction.
"We cannot use shame to change others" I beg to differ, there is a quantifiable limit to shamelessness lol take it from a high school teacher who has seen a lot of weird things this year.
"He's on scene with JJ" why? Maybe don't do that?
I can't believe Brian is slowly turning out to be a productive character. He might die
Again why the fuck would they "gut the department" I really hate the subtle political stuff, it never ages well. Zero relevance to the plot at hand
"I need a minute" You shouldn't even be there to be honest
Completely unrelated but I love Tara's jacket
Why would it be Tara who "won't like it", it's Rossi who's been cagey
EXACTLY! Thank you lol
He kind of is "part of a special investigation" I was joking earlier about Brian dying but it's becoming more and more possible lol
I still have no clue what the show intends to do with Luke and Garcia
Emily I love you but that's an objectively bad decision. I mean she's been on the other side of this too so I wouldn't say out of character but still
I forgot Tyler existed
See like twenty seconds in he is getting emotional lol
I wouldn't call that "batshit crazy". Assertive sure, but you have to be in a position like this.
Is that Matthias from Shadow and Bone lmao? If not he looks very similar. I think that's him
Okay yeah, I would probably categorize THAT as "batshit crazy" nevermind
So when is the moment when they say son you ain't cut out for this job. Because maybe that would have solved the issues faster
"You know what that stands for" Well I don't. R is probably for "review"
"drop on request" well okay I have no fucking clue then
Why wait for that, just...fire him? Send him to a different field? These three letter agencies and the military are like their own small ecosystems, no? Surely there is something else he can qualify for better without "wasting" his training
Sigh, and this is why Luke should be nowhere near this case lol
I would be with Tyler but surely Milliken would know that it is really fucked up thing to to do to another person? Why would he do that to Billy?
Yeah you are telling that to a widow I think she knows lol
"You are the last person I should be saying that to" that's what I said
Luke, broski, again, you really shouldn't be there
Yeah "wow" Luke, what kind of question is that lmao
"He had a hard time deciding whether he wanted to be loved or feared" That's a great line
"I've been doing what you said" no you haven't actually
A set up?
So it's probably Barlow because his actor is more known lol
Or both yeah. But they couldn't have known he would finally take the shot right?
Oh it was the other guy
How do you prove that tho
I mean he still wouldn't know that he would take the shot
Well damn. But shouldn't family members automatically be like out of potential selectees?
Why even let Brian know Voit is there? There are interrogation rooms designed specifically for the purpose of observation
"Call me God" what a prick. Also the subtitles basically spoiled the caller lmao
"Okay, we will call you God" very authentic reaction Brian, thank you
Stop the podcast keep the call, smart, cool. Although surely he would notice...
"I recognize that voice" yeah I know the subtitles told me who it was as well lol
"God? Are you still with us" Brian pls
See that's what I told you, Brian shouldn't have been aware...
What do you mean "you just caused a man's death" come on now
Okay, solid episode overall. First time this season I'm actually looking forward to the next one.
I really wish the "character focused" seasons were a bit more nuanced than just trauma dumping said character with no end in sight; this time Luke.
The main case was bit convulated, good twist, but very TV police drama in essence. All the evidence is circumstantial or hearsay lol It was also based on chance...but had an interesting, more contained, classic crime story feel to it. Although I'm starting to notice that we are really not doing serial killers anymore...which is supposed to be the basic premise of the whole show.
Hey, so it turns out I'm still alive, though sometimes it's hard to tell. Anyway here's absolutely nothing *checks calendar* 3 days after the actual premier lol
I'm not gonna lie I have near zero recollection what happened last season, and I only know about the new season because I accidentally clicked on something like a week ago.
Safe to say life's been busy. But hey it's a Sunday, I sent every e-mail that I had to (I think) and I have pizza, so...it's CM time lol
Episode 1
"Skip recap?" no thank you I actually need them this time.
I'm still not a fan of permanently adding Tyler into the mix. I don't mind the character itself, but the later seasons really showed how overcrowded the team can get and with the smaller episode numbers someone is ought to be sidelined. Anyway, we'll see I guess. I did enjoy it whener he was around Emily last season, they made a surprisingly fun duo.
Oh right, Sicarius was semi-back. How..nice.
A year?! Also, can they just say what year we are at, what season, anything, because I'm completely lost on the timeline here.
Hello darkness my old friend, a tad cheesy but okay. I think that's the Disturbed version. Or at least very similar.
Cool visuals though.
I would probably just slam into the breaks and let them go lol
Noo don't pull over. You have been so reasonable so far, why. This is such a classic set-up I would find it hilarious if they were baiting us and the victims are completely different people. Maybe they'll just find the bodies.
"Can't hear you" what bullshit
Yeah no Griffin you fucked up
How would it get worse. You are getting shot either way, you still have more chance turning on the car.
Oh even the dead body, interesting.
"She needs the support" so why aren't you helping lol
"Tara's off-site" why. Is Aisha directing the episode? Hm, apparently not.
Ngl it's kinda funny that Rossi has a mini fridge. Of course he does.
Oh please tell me we are not doing another "the BAU needs to prove their positions are valuable and shouldn't be disbanded" storyline.
I still don't understand how Rossi is publishing while on active duty. Pretty sure that's a no-no. At least when it comes to literature. Maybe his books are classified as text-books? Or maybe the writers just don't give a crap anymore.
To be fair a book about Voit would genuinely be a very good base, you could practically talk about every single serial killer that he used as inspiration. You wouln't even have to talk about him that much.
Though realistically I would personally avoid it because his kids are very young and very much alive and they probably will be for the next 60 or so years...i wonder if his family will be back. That was genuinely the only interesting remainder of Voit's storyline and they quietly dropped that.
Also also, I'm guessing we'll see a trial or something, it's only been a year, so I'm curious if they are going with a Ted Bundy like route or not, with Voit having fans and people being genuinely convinced he's a "government patsy" or stuff like that.
"he's Bundy and Dahmer famous" well there you go I guess
Not the true crime proposals lol I will say though, the true crime scene in 2026 is very bizarre and I partially blame covid for that.
"I turned them down" that's probably not the best idea
"If I didn't have to think about Elias Voit every again" cue another season of Voit shenanigans lol
Was that für elise lol what a horrible song to be bludgeoned to death to. Symphony No. 5 would work better. If we really have to stick to Beethoven
Oh it's choking my bad. Also, it's definitely für elise so I'm guessing Voit has to listen to it while fantasizing.
Oh nevermind they wanted to be edgy and used the "epic trailer version" lmao
Ah, so that's the off-site assignment. Tara looks gooood
He's not sleeping? How sad. Anyway...
Oh JJ looks gooood as well
"He'd want it at the new place" Aww I actually didn't mind Will when he was around
The college talk is fun and all but it's hilarious that we know absolutely nothing about Henry's interests
"Has anyone else ever gone missing out here?" It's the middle of buckfuck nowehere with zero cell service, I would wager yes.
"it takes skill and manpower" it really doesn't when you think about it.
Did you just rip his jeans?! That ain't that easy
Yeah they don't give a shit, I'm pretty sure he's come in here to shoot him in the face
Okay that's categorically worse than being shot in the face
*Sigh* okay so it's one of those "daddy taughs us how to be killers" case? Blood brothers, was it? Season 2 episode something
"Could be a copycat" that implies that this one case is infamous enough for people to copy
Also, why were they called. Like the fbi. Why are we involved this early?
Like I get the "local pd needs help" I do, but they always need help. JJ's entire job early seasons was to decide which one needs it more
That's a lot of mail.
"We are reaching out about your life insurance policy-" sorry
Oh he's been served lmao
So after a season of Rossi hallucinating Voit, we have Voit hallucinating Rossi. I hope next season we invite Jennifer Love Hewitt back and we can start talking to the dead. It's the next logical step, really
That's a rough 28. But then again, so was 1996
"what if he's dead" Lady even without the shovel he would have bled out from being shot in the gut with a shotgun
I liked that conversation actually.
Not the popcorn ceiling.
"You are safe now" they say, as the guy who did it is potentially doing it again
Okay, so it's...blood brothers. The trigger was probably dear daddy dying.
Are the actors actually twins?
Oh he's not dead, he's just dying.
Oh this has been going on for generations. So it's "bloodline" season 4 episode something mixed with "blood brothers" season 2 episode something
There is a tobacco processing plant in my city and it took me years to realise that the fuckass sweet smell was coming from there. It's like someone took a honey granola bar and shoved it up your nose. Some people like it though.
Well it's Tyler so maybe don't say "always"? He has fucked up quite a few times before just saying.
What kind of a scenario, hey *holds up phone* by any chance is this the guy who abducted you 30 years ago?
"they are US citizens" they technically don't exist. Also isn't his whole scheme not trusting the government? The writing has been okay so far, that whole confrontation feels like it came from somewhere random. Also the talk about incels. I know what it means, but to me it will always feel like internet lingo that a 50+ fbi agent wouldn't use...
Rossi just barked. Okay. I really have no words for that.
Again, why would they trust the judicial system of all places. That makes no sense.
They found the cabin before they turned off the music? Diabolical
Yeah being a serial killer is like...alcoholism. Lmao. 3 seasons of Voit's bullshit, and it kind of feels like we are minimizing his acts.
Okay, so someone in the writer's room found Hidden Citizens on youtube, that's how I can justify the song choices. Can I request Silent Running somewhere?
Are there people who actually write essays like that? I recently finished a dissertation chapter (finished, yeah, right) and it was like, write two lines. Cool, now read back on the source. Make sure I'm paraphrasing enough. Stare at the screen for 5 minutes. Doodle in notebook. Write two lines. Rinse and repeat. Like fiction I can write like that, but academic stuff? Nah
The daramatic zoom in on the anime memorabilia really put things into perspective thank you for that
So this was...fine. Really not a premier kind of big hit though. Maybe it should be seen as a two-parter? I'll check the next episode in a minute but really this was just. Fine. A bit repetitive of earlier seasons but it either didn't realise it or wanted to keep quiet about it, which is weird. Like, they could have referenced that they've dealt with similar cases.
It also started better than it ended. The confrontation scene with the killer!dad was laughably cringe. Like fanfiction level expository "hey look this is a bad man. He's mean! And sexist!" yeah we knew that already. I would appreciate if they considered their audience to be smarter than that. You don't need to spell it out, we know.
I know they wanted to go for "cool" but it was just kinda lame. Rossi barked for God's sake.
Okay, anyway, episode 2!
Suddenly Brian. So I guess he's back.
Oh you don't want me to get into the Kennedy assasination.
Metro PD. Are all of our cases going to be local?
"Is this a gas leak" is the exact moment you are supposed to send the civillian out
It's Luke in a cemetary. Is it his grandmother? Because I don't think we ever even heard of any other relatives
I get the whole "refusing to cry in public" thing. Although I usually don't punch elevators. Or...anything. I'm also pretty sure these elevators have cameras in them.
I mean yeah that's pretty weird, "who's the least traumatised?" lol
I have a hard time imagining Emily with a spotify or an apple podcast subscription...
Oh it's Henry, okay, that actually makes a lot of sense.
"me, you, and the bau" sounds like a romantic comedy not gonna lie
Ah, it's Brian, yeah
"I'm trending" bruh
That was a nice little scene camera movement-wise
He has a fucking pin of a spider, dude.
"No. Because that's illegal." roll the tape of Emily doing illegal things please lol
"oh spank me daddy" I know I said I don't like the internet lingo but okay that was funny and at least self-aware. I might ironically listen to a podcast like that
Not the Manchurian candidate namedrop. I'm still on the opinion that they should have gone all out with the conspiracy stuff and lean into it with Jade(?). I can't remember her name
So we are skipping on Tara's and Rebecca's wedding I guess lol How the fuck do you get married less than a whole year. I guess the US is a big enough place to find an appointment somewhere but still
Nothing like getting the blessings of a serial killer on your marriage
I like the color of Tara's jacket but I'm not completely sold on the pattern
Important things are happening for sure
Oh Rossi's not an angel.
Well I wouldn't call him a devil either tbh
I mean that's a fair question. Harsh, but yeah. He got blown to bits.
Cause of death was his head being blown up. Yeah. Okay.
Damn, okay. I was thinking more along the Hannibal Lecter lines but that's interesting.
I mean he can't lobotomize himself. Obviously.
It's gotta be someone from the army too. A random guy probably can't just abduct military personnel.
Well I didn't think they would actually show it damn
I really don't think a victim's relative would buy into that? A random listener, sure. But someone with an actual connection? Why, that would mean taking the blame off of the guy
"It's in THE podcast", ah yes, THE podcast. The one and only podcast that ever was...this just sounds silly. It could have been "it's all over the internet" or something
Are we seriously calling Brian a "troll"? That's..not what an internet troll is. Also you really don't want to talk about the rules of the internet.
"Of course you have conditions" Emily's tired subdued anger speaks dear to me
That's horryfingly sad. Neat concept for an episode though
I mean you can't cure a lobotomy
Not better help lol
"We didn't approve the sign"
Like I said I do agree that true crime as a genre has fallen off the rails, but that's a relatively new phenomenon. *old man voice* back in the day needless sensationalism was at the very least recognized. Nowadays it feels like it's the only way people will pay any attention. (Listen I teach at a high school. Those kids have the attention span of around 30 seconds max and then something needs to blow up or scream otherwise "it's boring"...). Now all that said, I wonder how many people choose criminal justice as a career path because they read Mindhunter almost 30 years ago. That used to be what true crime meant.
He fixed the sign lmao
I would like to hear more about Big Vegan
"Enceplatopathy" I want to know how many outtakes that one word took
It's Roxy? Really? I had a hunch when she was like "she is in a lot of pain" but hm. I don't know how I feel about this.
Maybe I'm the bad Catholic here but I can't just randomly quote the Bible to be honest.
Oh okay so that's..a thing in military I guess.
Eh, he's definitely going for suicide by cop
Oh nevermind, he actually stood down
Hm, So. Voit is definitely still going to be around...and we have what seems to be a "fan" committing murders.
That was also...okay? Not a bad episode alltogether. I'm glad Luke is finally getting some focus, the emotional scenes gave Adam a chance to shine with his acting.
I'm not exactly on the edge of my seat to watch the next one but it's been...Okay. WIth some good bits.
Alright, here's the Tomb Raider "Unified Timeline" image updated properly to include the novels that was missed, as well as the new comic book coming out next year. Feel free to share it to help clear things up for people confused.
We still don't know exactly which games and to what degree are included in that gap between Legacy of Atlantis and Catalyst, so we've not added anything to it yet. Could be every game, could be just a few, time will tell.
I really really really wish we could COMPLETELY move on from the "ethical archaeology" angle because Lara is a master survivalist, an explorer, an adventurer and yes, a treasure hunter.
She is an aristocrat who changed her lifestyle because she was bored. Yes she has morals and values that usually tend to align with the "good" side and she's saved the world multiple times but at her core she's doing it because she's an adrenaline junkie and because she loves to put herself in harm's way on purpose.
Tomb raiding is deeply rooted in colonialism and imperialism but it is a game.
Lara Croft was specifically designed to not be relatable. She is not a girl next door, she is an aristocrat with three manor houses across the English countryside, a butler and a private collection with artifacts from both her father's as well as her own exploits.
I don't think portraying her as a selfish anti-hero who habitually saves the world by chance is gonna promote or enforce any ideas about people going out in the world and stealing others' cultural heritage so they really should stop trying to justify her tomb raiding because it's just a selfish hobby of hers and that's fine.
maybe everything is david rossi's fault for writing books in the first place because how many times has his books been used against him and the BAU by these unsubs 😭
In a strange twist of fate I actually am home on two consecutive Thursday mornings so, let's do this live.
I think I've said everything in a previous post, but I am curious how they are setting the next season up.
Ah, shit here we go again with the time skippity hoppities. Well I guess it's just flashbacks
That's not a woman in her early 20s. So this is going to be Tessa? Not Ochoa? Consider me shocked
Goddamn Cyrus is a reaaallly good manipulator
Okay so grad school. That could be any age. It's just they said that Tessa now would be in her 40s and this 20 years ago.
Nah you shouldn't, let his ass walk home.
So it really is just a random person that had no mention or build up before the previous episode.
And it's not Ochoa! So where is she
Okay so they took her. Probably as leverage then
I mean it does sound really bad. And ya'll did technically fuck up. But I also wonder how would news sites even get this info
A press conference can wait? What they are just going to stand outside for hours lol?
Jesus that's some Hannibal treatment for a random doctor lmao
I don't know if Ochoa is safe to be honest...narratively I mean. They could kill her, I doubt they have plans for her next season
"You are scared" no shit
That's what this is about? Just whack him in the head again and you should be good to go lady
I swear everyone and their grandma has read Rossi's books. I also wonder why it's considered to be an "instruction manual"...I've read the ones they are supposed to imitate, Mindhunter and Journey into Darkness, even Killer by Design, you really don't get any info on how to become a better killer. (Maybe Cases That Haunt Us or the Crime Classification Manual are different? Haven't had time for those)
The book on the table was released in 2014. Am I supposed to believe that she spent at least 12 years down the basement or is that just a dumb mistake
meshugas? "means "crazy", "insane", or "mad" in Yiddish" well you learn something new everyday
Sacrifice is a strong word I think. I mean they are obviously hamfisting quasi-religious symbolism into this whole affair (disciple, sacrifice) but like...why
Literally wtf
Oh it's probably the "pour spiders down her throat" setup
So he didn't use the right formula but got the answer anyway lmao
Okay the book was definitely a mistake then because she was completely broken by 2004
I don't know how we went to Wuornos from this. Female serial killer sure but 20 years of isolated manipulation isn't really the same...
I like this scene tho, them bouncing ideas off of each other is very classic
Yeah I think he's playing her
Chat is it lame if I can't quote entire passages from The Tempest
The Counselor was also my nickname in high school lmao (I was not aiding serial killers, just arguing with teachers)
All of this backstory is nice and all but it would have been better if we learned this earlier and now we could put it together instead of once again being visited the by the Holy Ghost of Exposition
So we knew this but how did YOU reach that conclusion? It's still unclear to me how they know Ochoa was meant to be a "sacrifice"
Dave absolutely does not need to gear up what is going to do fall down some stairs?
Hm, it was probably non lethal. I have a hard time believing they would go for the "back to Voit being a killer thing". I think this will end with him and Tessa both dying in some redemptive sacrifice type beat
Yeeeah I figured
You could have easily shot Tessa just saying
Ooh are we going to have JJ be the one to kill Voit? As a mercy kill but still I wanted her to do it for so long lmao
Ah. Nevermind.
Damn I almost feel sorry for her
I appreciate they wanted to tie in Emily's backstory into this but it kinda feels like a reach lol Like, she still did achieve great things, we know absolutely nothing about how (or why) she winds up joining the CIA. (I wrote out her timeline once and you can make it work, but it's really not straightforward)
She wasn't, JJ low key wants to commit sudoku any chance she gets I thought we knew this
It doesn't matter dude killed like 80 something people I really don't care he regrets it 💀
Emily you are kind of a millionaire you can take them out to dinner lol
So his visions are back, cool.
Aaaand it's over.
I do not want to see Voit next season 💀
I mean it was...fine, but they left us with like..no hint for the next season? Even though they knew we would have a s19. So, I'm wondering if we are getting back to the one episode one case format. I would like that, but 10 episodes wouldn't really work, unless we have a B plot that flows through the entire season.
Voit and Tessa are both alive which...means they have the potential to come back. They could have ended it tbh Have JJ kill Elias because he forces her hand, Elias redeems himself this way, JJ gets her new trauma package for next season, this would have caused a legal issue because they guy (who btw never officially confessed to being Sicarius) dies in a suspicious shooting....buut no. They both live.
Ochoa is also alive but I guess she will fade into the background and we will never see her again. Which is sad cause she was cool (and I like Aimee Garcia lol)
Tyler remains and they really need to figure something out for him, because right now he's just a (younger and somewhat annoying) Luke 2.0
Rebecca's ex (whose name I don't even remember. Evan?) is going away and we are getting a new liaison...okay? So, new character who might cause us problems (or becomes a love interest, could go either way)
I really don't know what to say, I fear we are running out of gas a bit. Well, I'll still be here next season (God willing)
I'm back from the dead, again. Here's nothing. Spoilers obviously.
CME S3 E9 live reaction
What do you mean 8 days ago. Like, 8 days back from the two weeks forward?
Apparently so.
Well who's his supervisor? Have we done a background check on them? Also, isn't it already a security breach that they know it's a "VIP"?
Feels a bit clumsy for a selection process, unless it's on purpose.
Even still, like they may have signed an NDA but why are you talking like he isn't there. This should take less than a minute…again, unless they are feeding him info. (Let's mention Cyrus' name for the 4th time in case the suspicious orderly hasn't figured out how to spell it yet! And Herrera too!).
Okay yeah see, this is a problem. I know he had a sobstory but he broke a major rule. Confiscate the phone, drop his ass.
Do we know her? I don't think we know her. I definitely don't know her.
And to the surprise of absolutely no one…it's the guy!
Not the little hanging sanitizer thingy every teenage girl has.
Are we straight up murdering kids?
No,okay we are "just" kidnapping them.
Well Tyler you haven't exactly been a great help this season in general either. Absolutely no offense to RJ but I still question the point of having Tyler around. While he certainly improved since his introduction it just feels like he's taking up space. His connection to Voit has been exhausted already. Now he's just huffing and puffing, looking pretty and being emo. Which, go girl, but from a narrative standpoint, he's not very useful (or interesting).
Again, let's talk about crucial information in a public space. But the guy is an unsub…so…and he has already kidnapped a child. (kidnap straight up means child abduction though, doesn't it?
"late 17th century: back-formation from kidnapper, from kid + slang nap ‘nab, seize’." so…he already…kidnapped. period. alright. Also why were british people napping kids so much in the 17th century they needed a word for it…anyway.)
These flashbacks would work so much better if they were scenes from all over the season with the same guy (whom we obviously wouldn't have paid attention to) being in the background. Like, that would be cool, and would show actual planning.
Love dark chocolate too. I like Ochoa (and Aimee Garcia), I want to trust her, but I don't trust the show lol
"Who's Kathy Wolner" thank you Rossi I have no clue either.
Oh okay. So we don't know her, but we /know/ her got it.
Have they looked into where they are getting these masks from? Are they ordering in bulk from Temu? There must be an uptick in the purchases, it isn't like the anonymus mask that is spammed everywhere.
They are closing ranks, okay, but it's been like…more than two weeks. What have you been doing? It's not like minutes after they were arrested…
I love how dramatic Rebecca is. First, I'm going to angrily scribble "deceased" on a post it, before I go and tell anyone that they are dead. Same girl.
He stabbed himself in the neck with a pencil and bled out. I fear I would do that on accident. I once accidentally punched myself in the face. Had a black eye for two days.
Yeah you're like weeks behind.
I always wonder why they never spell the names.
Indoctrinate him? But I mean it's a kid, that's always leverage.
Oh he's a portable document format nevermind. I was naive.
We don't have him? For over a week? And we don't know about it?? What in the everloving fuck is going on. Why don't we know this info???
Told the detail she was dropping the kid off at school. Cool. Is there no detail following her?
The alignment chart comes from dungeons & dragons? I thought it just popularized it.
Well goddamn, quick google search says yes. Makes me want to replay Kingmaker.
What
Jesus I'm an idiot. For like a full second I was like what. When did I miss this becoming a poly relationship.
Then I realized Tara want Garcia to marry the two of them together.
It always sends me into orbit that apparently every second american just has the papers to marry people for funsies. I wonder if it actually helps with bureaucracy, like does this mean less work for whatever institution deals with this in the US?
Garcia is absolutely not neutral good I said what I said.
How the fuck do you just send a big ass box to the fbi without it being traceable.
Okay, I'm sorry. The plastic has holes in it, sure. But it's covered in wood. No airflow. I mean I'm happy the kid is alive but this setup makes no sense.
Why are they constantly bullying JJ lmao. Poor woman.
What the fuck is Rat Slap.
Kudos to the child actor so far btw.
I hate that 10 year olds know tiktok. I'm a boomer, screw me.
"Now I lay me down to sleep,
Your husband's soul is God's to keep.
Lainey and Ava will be safe,
if you release the man who dug their graves."
Horrible rhyming scheme. 7-8-8-10? Bad.
Also, did the unsubs just…sit at a table and brainstorm out a fucking poem together? Did they ask chatgpt?
Once again, poor JJ. What did she do to them lmao
Wait wait wait. So someone warned Lainey and instead of going to her assigned protective detail she packed up and ran? How do you run away from protective custody?
That's the second line of the prayer actually.
"That has been the pattern hasn't it" I thought she meant JJ making mistakes 💀 Who knows JJ's nickname? Literally everyone she has every introduced herself to? Was that supposed to be a secret?
"This case has a leak" I thought we already established that.
I thought Rossi was about to pull up an emotional support orange or something.
Ozempic. Bruh. Why is it bad that he's on meds? He's a billion and two years old.
I don't know a Welbutrin. Back in my day people took Xanax.
What a weird scene.
I'm going to say it. I don't understand fantasy football. But I think Luke should do whatever he wants.
Yeah exactly! Spell the fucking names out!
He planned his name being spelled wrong and being sent to a completely different prison? Buddy, no. Absurd.
Thank you for explaining what 'checkmate' is, we the audience obviously have never heard this obscure phrase before but we are enlightened by the Spirit of the Holy Expository Technique.
"No…we are not going to do that. A, it's stupid" Love Emily.
They have stayed off the grid this long because this episode decided that ya'll were suddenly very incompetent.
Why would Sydney help them.
Okay, so it wasn't her. We are back to Elias being evil? Or Ochoa, I guess.
Okay so, it's Elias. But he's not evil, he's just stupid, gotit.
Does he deserve it? I mean what has Tyler done, really.
OR. They are playing the guy. But again, with each passing second I have less and less trust in this episode lol
Realistically. Wouldn't he have multiple phones…?
Unless they are searching for mIcRoImPrEsSiOnS
No, nevermind, I'm still trying to give too much credit to this episode.
Why does Rebecca seem excited about the prospect of a female unsub lmao.
But what a twist would it be if it was Garcia all along, 18 seasons! lmao
Inherited his knowledge? On JavaScript? What. I don't think basics on C++ are hereditary.
Spinal Tap 💀 He is old.
But how could he get in touch with them…they have protective detail… bruh
"Sometimes it's because of me" buddy you killed like 80 people or something
"I swore I would never make this promise again" promiception
What a wonderful waste of time that was, thanks Elias.
So we are just completely ignoring the fact that they run away to somewhere, okay.
I would still tell everyone he tried to kill his own daughter.
"Bullshit." Love Emily.
"i believe you" good. Although that lady should have reported the dude for using his phone.
So now that I'm thinking about it, 40 year old woman…if Tessa turns out to be Ochoa….Probably. Right. Famous actress, likable character….
The internet will believe anything so I don't think that's a big task.
They should have done one of those premade picture announcement thingies with the laughing emojis in the bg
Cool transition. The ep had quite a few of those. Haven't had much issue with the directing but the writing…
Really. We just wasted and entire day. An entire day was necessary to find out that noone has entered this house in 5 years. Before setting up the stakeout, they hadn't checked the street camera footage for the past few days? Really? Are we for real?
That's not how chess works. How did we leave him exposed. He was literally in the other room 5 minutes ago.
How is that going to help. Staying in one place? Hide??
37 minutes later. Can we stop with the timeskippity hoppities
Would we care if he died though?
I…had some…issues…with this episode. To be honest lmao
I am absolutely not vibing with making the team so incompetent without explanation.
Also, since Ochoa isn't dead, and this "Engineer" dude is obviously the hospital guy, Tessa can still be Ochoa. That's..what I'm calling now. Because I have zero faith left in this season xd We had some strong episodes, mainly thanks to the actors' performance but this last two I've been scratching my head…
