Braydon?
“Oh, hey ---- you’re right on time.”
“Okay, you put the flags up over on that side of the garden,” Derek said, pointing towards the far corner of the front yard. “Does anyone know where the kegs are? We were meant to have kegs…” For one of the first parties he’d helped with, it seemed to be pretty well put together already, save for the suspiciously missing liquor.
He thought he could handle this on his own, but Braydon soon realized that kegs weighed a lot more than he’d anticipated. He’d left the first one mid-driveway, the second still in the back of the truck he’d borrowed to pick them up. Coming around the counter just in time to hear the house father’s comment, the frat boy waved him down. “I’m, ahh ---- gonna need a little help getting these things back here,” he let out a breathy laugh, even if there wasn’t anything particularly funny about the situation. He felt like a wimp, to put it simply.
“Well, promise me you’ll at least try to do something fun, okay?”
“I’ll try.” Braydon replied with a half smile. It was hard for him to talk about doing anything out of the house knowing that Autumn couldn’t come out and enjoy such things, too.
“Ah, well don’t tell me you’re gonna be around too much. You gotta have some plans for summer, right?” Autumn smiled, nudging him gently.
“Eh... I don’t know, I might just end up sticking around here to welcome in the next round of frats. Maybe show them around the place. Show them around campus. You know, all that boring crap.”
“Sorry, I just felt like it’s been way too long.”
“Pfft, shut your face. Don’t say sorry----I’m all for hugs,” Braydon smiled. It really had been way too long.
“School’s been kicking my ass, but, uh... I don’t have to worry about that for a while now. I should be... around... a lot more.”
The worst cases of insomnia had been hitting Casey as of late–often times leaving her reading textbooks and listening to music in the library. On the downside, those little actions hadn’t left her in the brightest lights of the people who seemed to be living in said place. Finding herself without a place to really frequent, the redhead wandered lost around the house–searching every nook and cranny that she could find to pass the time. It wasn’t until she passed by a door and heard thumping that her curiosity got the better of her. Fingers barely rapping at the door, she was surprised to hear a familiar voice. “Stringbean?,” she questioned softly as she cracked the door open.
“Oh----hey,” Braydon shifted, arms pushing down so he could push himself up to sit. “I don’t think I ever told you my room number,” he perked a brow. “You stalking me now, bookworm?” It was all in good fun, really, his tone clearly teasing. The fraternity boy stood from his bed and shoved his hands in his pockets. He really wasn’t expecting any visitors, and only hoped he looked decent enough for the company he was about to be keeping.
“Whoa----ahh... hello to you, too.”
Between Sara and Autumn and everything that's happened since you've moved in, you probably wish you lived somewhere else, huh?

Aurora looked up at the sounds of a voice, unsure if they were speaking to her. When she saw someone looking her way, the girl shook her head, her cheeks turning red in embarrassment. “I umm… I walked,” she said sheepishly. “I didn’t expect to be getting so many things.” She adjusted the bags in her hands, her arms starting to hurt from the weight.
Braydon’s eyebrows rose at the girl’s admission, and he shuffled in his spot for a moment as he thought over the options. He could offer her a ride home, and this was a college town ---- it wasn’t an uncommon thing to do, right? It could be taken chivalrously or creepily, and it would have been rude to dismiss her. “Ahh... well, uh, there’s space in the backseat for a few bags if you need a lift or something.“ He offered, his hand coming up to scratch the back of his neck. “You live close by?”
The world was…dizzy. Sara had made a point of outdoing her last Halloween booze fest–and by the way the world was spinning, the night was a tremendous success. Tripping over herself as she got out of the taxi, the blonde giggled as she stumbled up the driveway. She had left Tara and Tristan to do their thing–figuring the house would be empty so she could get away with just about whatever she wanted. The music was still pumping through her veins, making it hard to focus on anything–especially walking. “Shit,” she mumbled, stumbling again–this time scraping her knees as she hit the cement.
Finally getting a hold of his wallet from between the car seat cushions, Braydon popped out of his car and shut the door, just in time to see Sara stumbling up the walkway. Sure, it was Halloween, and she had a viable excuse to be partying... it still irked Braydon every time he’d see her like this. Watching her take a nasty fall, the frat boy shut his car door and made his way over to her, not particularly in a rush. She was already down, getting her up on her feet in a fast pace would most likely only make her vomit. “Hey...” he announced his presence, coming down to her side as he stuffed his wallet into his back pocket before setting his hand on her back. “C’mon, let’s get you up.”

Aurora’s parents were having another party, and as per usual, the entire household was spending the better part of the morning and afternoon trying to get everything organized and ready to go. However, some past minute changes with the dinner menu came up, and the kitchen didn’t have all the ingredients it needed for the meals. One of the cooks was about to go out to get the food, but instead Aurora volunteered to do it, mostly just because she wanted to get out of the house for a while.
Arriving at the grocery store, Aurora got a shopping cart and started wandering through around with a list of items she needed to buy. As things began to pile up in her cart, the girl quickly realized she was a little in over her head with the order. But she kept on going, knowing she couldn’t come back with only part of the list.
When she finally finished getting everything and put it all through the checkout, Aurora piled all the grocery bags into the cart and wheeled it out of the store, stopping when she got to the cart drop off before trying to figure out a way to carry all of the bags home. “Maybe this was a bad idea,” she muttered to herself, grabbing a few bags in one hand and hoisting them out of the cart.
Living at the Murder House, food was known to come and go in the blink of an eye ---- an although everyone contributed from time to time, it was his turn to take the gathered funds from both sorority and fraternity to pick up groceries to stock up the kitchen. From frozen meats to veggies, to fruits, chips, drinks, and so on, his cart was filled with upward of 300 dollars worth of everything his brothers and sisters would need for... the week.
The grocery store wasn’t particularly busy, and as he checked out he couldn’t help but notice someone in the checkout lane across from him with a cart full of items as well. Maybe from one of the other sororities, as everyone seemed to run out of food at the same time from his experience. Dismissing the thought as the total of his purchase flashed on the screen, Braydon offered over the cash and headed out of the store.
Feeling particularly lazy upon arriving to the store, he made sure to park directly next to the cart stall so he wouldn’t have to walk too far to put it back. Arriving to his car, he popped the trunk and began packing in bag after bag, somehow managing to pack it all into place. It was when he was about to get into his car, that he heard the mutter of the girl he’d seen earlier in the store. “You, uh... parked far away or?”

“You’re scared of me… aren’t you?” (Autumn)
( @autumnclarke )
There was a long pause, and Braydon cast his eyes to the floor. “It’s not... you, it’s knowing that this is possible. That everything you said is true. I’m scared of that.” It took a lot for him to confess it, but a weak wave of relief washed over him afterward. Maybe it was alright to finally be talking about this. “What scares me is that the people who did this to you are here. And that you’re stuck with them.”
Tossing a bright green bouncy ball up toward the ceiling, Braydon lazily caught it as gravity did its thing. He couldn’t sleep, and his roommates were out doing God knows what ---- so the room was fairly quiet aside from the occasional thump that emitted from the ball he was keeping himself occupied with. That’s when a knock at the door stole his attention, though he didn’t take his eyes off his game. “Door’s open,” he called out.
