when people tag posts "unreality" it's a signal to people who struggle with discerning reality that a (likely scary if believed to be true) post is not real even though it's written as if it was. it's also a filter tag so those people can opt out of seeing posts like that entirely. many people who rely on the unreality tag are psychotic and struggle with paranoia alongside (or because of) the struggles discerning what's real. posts that these people interpret to be real can lead to incredible distress and compulsions.

when someone tags your post "#unreality" and you screenshot the tags and say "what are you talking about? this is real" because you consider the post easy to discern as not real and find this joke funny you're actually just causing paranoia for people who now feel like they can't trust the unreality tag. not everyone has the same reality discernment skills as you. what's "obviously" a fictional story to you may not be obvious to other people.

I don't think most people make this joke maliciously. I think most people making this joke don't even realize why the unreality tag exists. anyways, if you've made this joke or have the urge to make this joke then consider not doing that.

it all eventually leads to her murdering william (in front of his family) and being tried for aggravated murder. she is NOT helping her case by admitting that she has fully intended to kill him and did Not regret it in the slightest (she is Intentionally making her case worse actually (she doesn't think she can ever be a normal kid))

its always sad to see artists get dragged to the dirt because they drew a character with no canon race or skin color (as such smilk, esc, fs and wind etc) other than white.

like for some reason, thats the default and anything else going against that is apparently wrong for their headcanons. ive seen this too with moonlight and im always afraid to even share my own hcs for these characters because i can already hear the saxophones getting closer the more i make my favs poc as a brown person myself.

FIGHT FOR THE FUTURE - VPNs = Lifesaving LGBTQ+ privacy tool

Happy pride to us all. And especially to any queer femmes out there just trying to exist who, like me, are using a VPN right now.

A quality VPN is a very important tool for privacy. They protect us from malicious scammers on iffy wifi, from what we do online being surveilled by the people and institutions that would do us harm. They hide the location we’re browsing from, so that creeps can’t mess with us at home. In a word, they help keep us safe.

They’re also essential for access to community. They let us dodge censorship and join the online world from the perspective that’s best for us. This means a lot as walls go up around queer digital life in the US, and also to people around the world whose love and identities are criminalized. In a word, they keep us alive.

So what are states like Utah and Michigan trying to do?

Ban them, of course!

At Fight for the Future, we’ve been slapping these lawmakers upside the head: holding a VPN Day of Action1, dragging Utah’s nonsensical law even as they delayed its rollout2, heaping shade on Michigan3, and generally organizing so that there’s an actual resistance to protect these crucial tools.

But we’ve got to be real: nobody’s really been funding this work except our grassroots supporters. And there is a lot more that we need to do.

I dont care if 9/10 of the people who use the wheelchair ramp arent actually in wheelchairs. As long as the 1 person who needs it has access to it.

I dont care if 9/10 people who buy the can tab opener, or the little guitar clamp that holds the chords for you, or the hand grip that helps you hold chop sticks, don't need any of it and just get it to "be lazy". As long as the one disabled person who needs it gets access to it.

I do not care. Oh my GOD I do not care. As long as there's a disabled person on this planet who the accessibility device will benefit, the accessibility device is necessary.

Also, if you're so worried about people being "lazy" by using accessibility devices, MORE worried than you are about disabled (visibly or not) people not having access to them, you have unchecked ableism you need to work through.
