This has been my main argument against "AI" from the very beginning.

OpenAI scraped the entire web. All of which had been a labor of love from humans. Wikipedia is the backbone of a lot of LLMs, and that was volunteer human labor. They stole it and now they're selling it back to us.

And worse, they're trying to destroy the free sources that they stole from. It's destruction of human knowledge on an unprecedented scale. The burning of the library of Alexandria has nothing on this.

I literally don’t care if your gender identity is the Joker and your pronouns are why/so/serious or if your sexuality is sun you’re attracted to different people depending on where the sun is.

Sometimes it fucking sucks to be Black in an English speaking white country. With how much racism, specifically antiblack, is built into society, there's so many everyday things that are racist but people, especially white people, can't clock it because of how normalized it is. One of the things I run into a lot is that I have to explain to people that I hate clowns, not because I'm scared of them but they're lowkey a racist caricature of Black people (take this moment to ask yourself why are afros funny) and I just sound insane.

had the most atrocious interaction with a chronically ill woman at work today, everyone point and laugh at me being unsure exactly what I can say without getting in trouble with management when the woman behind her in line told her ivermectin would cure her long covid.
