Childhood Marriages

Hey everyone, I am almost never on this social media land anymore but once in a while I've decided that I may hop on to share. 

I know this is really intense and hard but there are SO many issues in this world that need our action and attention, it's the only way to bring about change. Please consider reading about the childhood marriage laws in your state, yes in the U.S. 

Obviously this happens globally, and is tangled in religious/cultural often cult beliefs so it can be triggering and tricky, but for eff's sake....

Something I didn't know, if you are in CA read the bill text of SB273 (just type SB273 into google), it doesn't specify a minimum age requirement for marriage, just that court order and parental consent is needed if under 18. Which is alarming, because there are many cases of abuse, forced marriages, pedophilia, more than what we may want to open our eyes and ears to, and honestly even one case is too many. 

Unfortunately, what makes it difficult is that it's often tangled in religious and political affairs (visas/greencards) and beyond outdated views on "pregnancies out of wedlock"...which sounds like the most ridiculous term in 2018... we humans still have a lot of evolving to do. Which is why this needs to be looked into. 

I know this may cause a rift with me and anyone who is very religious, but honestly....if your religion doesn't ACTUALLY protect children, and prioritizes 'virginity' (especially pinpointed at women) over not standing up for causing harm to another being...how is this in line with the root of what you believe in? Love, God, peace, etc. ? Having these religious/cultural rules in place doesn’t stop predators. Period. I know you know this because so many people on this planet have been abused, often sexually, in some way. It’s a disease in our societies. 

I'm an extremely open person, open to all beliefs even if I don’t agree with them, and I don’t really care what your background is, I believe we all came here to keep healing, and I believe it’s part of my life’s calling to work in the healing profession,  but I think it's time to really open up the disturbing root and past of many religious practices and cultural/societal belief systems. History repeats itself unless we decide to break the chain....many abusers were abused themselves. This planet needs so much healing...

I'm not a lawyer or politician, and I don't have all the details and I know this may be triggering for some, however I'm just trying to spread information so that we can bring about just change in this world, and protect our children from harm. Because in reality, are there really any true benefits for minors getting married before the age 18....? Maybe maybe maybe emancipated 16/17 y.o.'s to escape other abusive situations but why would they need to get married to get help?? Why don't our laws and society protect them as individuals?? 

The statistics are extremely minimal and disjointed concerning childhood marriage, but as I said before, even one case of child abuse/coercion/forced marriage is too many. 

I just tried calling and emailing Planned Parenthood to try to find out why they are in opposition with Senator Jerry Hill in instating age restrictions in the bill? Also a prominent foster care organization against the bill as well? Claiming "it's the only way for minors to get out of the foster system, that it might take away the rights of a minor who doesn't want to have a child out of wedlock".....*insert blank stare face here* 

How about offering something other than marriage as a solution, like counseling services to help these youth, often brainwashed by religious/political/cultural beliefs that don't actually protect them at all?

SO so so so hard to think about and grasp, because it’s entangled in a huge knot of politics/religious/cultural rights.....but common sense is common sense! Protect children always! Any lawyers that can offer some insight?

Oh Divine, Sacred Feminine, Awaken Now. Birth the New Way.

To be honest, I never gave marriage a whole lot of thought. I was never one of those girls who dreamed about her wedding day. I labeled marriage as an act to be seen as “sociably acceptable” in the eyes of the government, and the rest of our close-minded society. To me it was a completely outdated, obsolete tradition, poisoned in archaic patriarchal control. I labeled it as such, being the feminist that I am, and tucked it away in a nice file cabinet in my mind. 

I did however, dream of my life partner. A man that respected my spirituality, individuality, strength, independence, ambition, self-nurturing, compassion despite my pain,  and saw me for the powerful goddess I am, and recognized himself as an aware king. I dreamed of what i believe is my Twin Flame, if you will. I felt the calling from as early an age I can form a memory to. I needed to heal something very deep first though. It wasn't until my early twenties that I realized my ultimate soulmate was myself, and so I went on a journey of complete and utter self-love, for me, for all parts of me, the part of me I needed to heal. I even took steps to healing this part of me, and re-examining my relationship with marriage and partnership, by marrying myself, with a ceremony and everything, on top of a cliff overlooking the ocean. I was committed to me, and nothing and no-one would stop me. I admittedly led some men astray...and got attached to others more than I would have hoped, but I examined these things with curiosity and compassion rather than judgment. I decided to follow my gut and follow the flow, and show up as my whole self. It will always be work, and effort and change, as are all relationships....but I finally understood that it’s the most important one to tend to. It sets the path for all other relationships in your life with friends, family, partners, loves, the whole universe, etc. 

Basically, I told myself that if I ever did meet my life partner, they would have to be ready and aware and conscious, because I refused to settle, whether it was my Twin Flame or not. I was vibrating at a certain frequency, and no one, not even a great love, was going to take me out of that, if anything, they would only add and amplify it with me. 

So when I met this man, in a country I had never been to before, in complete flow and surrender, I didn’t recognize what was happening right away. That’s the thing about the Flow, sometimes you have to snap out of it and look around a while at the curious encounters that appear. Especially when the universe is sending you sign after sign to stop for a second, look, and open up. He, however, recognized this powerful connection right away. Never a doubt in his mind. That’s because he’s a King, and he knows and values himself, thoughts and choices. There is so much to say about our story, this go around in life.  I can’t exactly put it in to words right now, and share all the details. There is one thing I can do though, and that is say just how extraordinary it is to meet your counterpart in another. 

I had reexamined my relationship with marriage, since marrying myself on that fateful cliff, healing my karmic wounds, all before I set out on this grand adventure. All before I had any idea what was awaiting me in Costa Rica. I opened up to the notion that marriage can be whatever the hell you want it to be. It’s up to the two involved to dance in the way they want to dance. 

 The government did want us to get married in order to be together, and justify our relationship (deletes angry comment)....but we also realized that we wanted to do it anyways....I was shocked at my own self. But what I really felt was that I wanted a union ceremony, more than a ‘wedding’. 

Our ceremony was in no way traditional, to the point that it seemed like it almost offended some people, not quite ready to open their sleepy eyes. We sent these people love, and didn’t feel the need to explain ourselves, and let it be so. I wore black, we didn’t match, we were covered in sage and palo santo, and adorned ourselves in crystals and anointing oils. I did not take his last name, he did not take mine. We are making up our own, on our own time, to start our own tribe, and eventually invite the sacred souls of our future children to choose us if they so wish. We didn’t tell a lot of people what we were doing, we didn’t want a dinner or a party, we wanted to run away to the jungle under the full moon night we chose to wed on. We made it our own. I’m still me, he’s still him, we just chose to walk together, and be open to life’s adventures and curves. 

For now, we did it our own way, and I’ll never forget it. It’s engrained in my DNA. Ready to elevate me to more potentials and frequencies. Te amo mi amor. Let’s adventure together ;)

Jungle Heart

Her heart was a jungle. Full of the tallest trees and endless vines, connecting that around her to what was inside of her. She navigated gracefully, through the unforgiving terrain. Through the depths and surviving the predators. Until, maybe, she realized, the terrain was not unforgiving. Rather though, life. Life itself. Full of bountiful gifts that chose to offer themselves. All she had to do was let go of the story she once held to be true, reach out, and become Queen of the Jungle.

Healing my throat chakra has been a long journey, for many reasons. One because it doesn't feel like it's just mine, but somehow a part of all women. The suppression, the silence, we have all endured, in one life or another. Over and over again. We decide, we choose, to Heal it. Sing it. Scream it. Let it out. Stand up. Take the journey. It's our time.

Light Bearers::

There is so much unrest, destruction, torture, and darkness right now....tapping in to the truth and frequency of all this pain on this little planet is incredibly overwhelming....to say the least. It feels like I’m collapsing, every time I try to come up for air, a mirror of the energy current world-wide. These.Are.Important.Times. 

Right now, change is happening, we are in the midst of it all. If we as Light Bearers, Vision Seekers, Truth Upholders, Love Embodiers, can continue to trudge forward, to hold up the Light, to hold up the Truth, to hold up the Signs of Peace....we CAN help the change. I’m writing this as a reminder to myself. I always want to do more, sometimes it’s important to remember your self-journey to healing, is key. Individually healing leads to the collective whole healing. Set your intentions, take Action, Work Hard, blast your Light Beams, and Love. BE the change. 

I ask, how on Heavenly Earth, are there so many beings, still in a state of racism? Of hate and discrimination and death? Of political and financial greed? Of support of non-renewable resources? Of invisible borders and separateness?? I’m noticing myself have moments of non-compassion.....but I can’t let the pain knock me out of compassion, light, growth, and healing. It’s more difficult to access right now...but I know that everything happens for a reason, and all this unrest, as gut-wrenchingly horrible as it is... is leading to a Great Awakening of Consciousness in our species. If I take a giant step back, I can remember that all is unfolding as it should, and we are here for a reason right now.

Keep upholding the Light, the Love, the New Way. I beg, I pray, I vibrate, I trust....hold up the Light. Namaste.

Wut.The.Bleep.

What the bleeping bleep do I really bleeping want? BLEEP!

Fuck. It’s one of those nights, when my insane spaced-out Aquarius mind and fucking intense Scorpio Moon side (I need something to blame, right?), is overactive again at 1am in the morning. Oh wait...that’s like, every night ever. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. Somebody turn my mind off, please (seeking outside of myself, I’m on a roll tonight). Sometimes it literally feels like whatever makes up my essence, soul, that part of me that isn’t really “here” but is at the same time, is jamming like a pinball against my claustrophobic binding body container suit. It feels like I’m screaming “LET ME OUT! FUCK! YOU PSYCHO ALIEN THING, YOU CHOSE THIS, WHAT IN THE NAME OF THE UNIVERSE WHERE YOU THINKING?” 

I truly think I’ve felt this way, at various points in my life, since the second I came out of the sacred womb into this earthly existence. I screamed, endlessness, like bloody murder, until i was finally able to cultivate language/words to begin to express myself. I was a horrible infant. I can actually recall coming in to this world kicking and screaming, why the fuck did I come back then? I confuse the shit out of myself. I’m a very “put together” person. Whatever the fuck that means. What i’m trying to say is that from what I can perceive of myself, and the reflection that others offer to me, I am a very balanced being. I’m incredibly grounding, stable, and calming, but I’m also a high-flying space cadet, taped in to the other realms. I am definitely existing less here at certain times, than I am in other vibrations. I’ve studied and examined society, and learned at a very young age that it was diseased, and sick. I just wanted to heal it, like I want to heal everything, including many men I’ve encountered in my life. I’ve since learned to let this go, my job for now, isn’t to heal, it’s just to offer it by existing as myself in my truest form. Although this might be starting to shift in to something....I’m not one for boxes, and rules. I know how to follow them, I understand the game, very well. But the real me doesn’t understand what the fuck is wrong with everyone (generalizing, ego kicking in). Why is everyone so afraid to be themselves? Including myself? Why do we let others place restrictions, and fear, on us? We are liberated freedom flyers made of star dust. Nothing is anything. Everything is nothing, and everything, all at once. 

So....back to my question. What the effing eff do I effing want? I guess figuring out that your figuring it out is what it’s all about. Something tells me that it’s not about what I want, is it? Fuck.

I worked hard, to become the most whole version of myself possible, thus far. To get to a state where I truly didn't need a relationship, or need anything outside of myself....because I knew in my bones, somehow, that part of me needed to die. In order to create the vibration, the love, and potentially the relationship, that I was truly destined for. A state, or relationship, without need, or fear, but rather choice, truth, and trust. It’s paradoxical, isn’t it? I am mine. Before I am anyone else's. I got myself to a point, where I truly wasn’t sure if I was meant for a relationship in this lifetime, even though somehow my soul seemed to vibrate at that frequency. The thing was, I was totally ok with that. Like completely ok with that. Ecstatic about that, liberated. In a state of presence, and trust, I entered each moment with open arms. Then what do you know, the universe placed this counterpart right in front of me, on a random beach in a country I had never been to before, with no plans, there by chance, or whatever you want to call it. For the most part I flow. I don't fit in any boxes, and sometimes that makes others uncomfortable. He gets that, and has matched his understanding, with actions. Unwavering in love, and strength, and vulnerability. We aren't getting to know each other, we are remembering one another...brushing off the stardust from thousands of forms of existence. To see one another whole against the sky. My King. My Love. Thank You.

When it comes down to it... I don’t care about what you look like, who you are to others, your reputation. If you are seen as a feat to conquer, or someone to tame. I care about your soul, your essence, the part of you that is eternal, the parts of you that no one ever really sees. When it comes down to it, I don’t care where you live or what you do. I don’t care. I care about the way your atoms vibrate, I care about where your mind goes when you dream as you enter your sacred space. I’m curious about you. Maybe you’re curious about me, maybe you feel the same, but that’s not for me to worry about, that’s your prerogative. I care about your deepest corners and sharpest edges and softest pains. How do you breathe? What crosses your mind when you look up at the stars? How do you show up? I don’t care where you go or what you do, I care about you.

:Make:A:Decision:

I’ve started thinking that maybe it isn’t about making the right decisions…maybe its about falling so deep in to your self, your truest vibration, that decisions don’t exist, because you just vibrate, and things just happen in reflection to that vibration. After all of the effort, struggle, pushing forward, questioning, the sobbing, leads to a surrendering. And maybe that helps you stop worrying about the stupid human shit that doesn’t fucking matter. It allows you to just be, because when there’s no right or wrong path you let go of fear. There’s nothing to fear. Everything’s in flow, vibrating, moving, breathing.
