Hey is corner of a birdcage discontinued? I just read it and its one of my fav mikayuu fics but it hasnt been updated in a while

Hi! First, thank you for reading and enjoying that monster of a fic lol I appreciate the interest.

And no, it’s not discontinued. I actually finished chapter 15 in september, but I’m holding off on publishing because I have some artists doing pieces for it and also because I want to finish writing chapter 16 before I post it! That being said, I’m hoping to have chapter 15 up before the end of this month, but who knows.

Okay, I know “Canon is actually a TV show/Movie and the characters are actors” AUs are a bit cliche, BUT the thought of Yuu, Mika, and Shinoa’s actors fucking hating each other in the beginning is hilarious. 

I can just picture Mika reading the script like “Why do I have to save that asshole?” and Shinoa’s like “Why does my character have such shit taste in men? Screw this, I knew I should have taken that Historia Reiss role. At least I wouldn’t have had to dye my hair fucking purple.”

The vampire actors all form their own little clique and are all super close with each other. Crowley, Ferid, Lacus, Rene, Chess, Horn, Krul, and Mika all have Game Night every other Saturday at Crowley’s expensive Malibu beach house. The human actors are fake asf and little divas in their own right, I bet Shinya threw a phone at Kureto once because he was talking shit while he was walking away.

The child actors for Mika and Yuu get along really well though. They love each other and are the best of friends!!

Ok let’s be real here, the ons manga is an absolute mess, I’m pretty sure not even Kagami knows what’s going on anymore. But I’ll always love Mika, bless him, he’s surrounded by idiots
