I’m so thankful for Seijuurou

He was going a little over the top. It was no secret the former captain was still invested in the Samezuka Swim Team but he didn't think that was any excuse not to let him see the training schedule.
"Why not?!" He almost boomed, arms crossed in impatience. "Matsuoka, I just want to see where you're going with everyone's instructions.
some things never change

Walking into the Samezuka Academy was just as normal to him as it was back when he was still enrolled. His parents never asked why he went out to visit his old school knowing it was to either check up on the team or on his younger brother.
Even so, he got a lot of greetings from the third and second years and a few curious glances from the first years; he made sure to say hello to everyone. Just when he'd the pool building came into sight, he spotted someone he would never be too busy to say hello to. "Gou-kun!" He hollered from across the court yard.

College swim meets were a lot different than that of Samezuka, and with Seijuro not in charge he had to follow club rules he really didn't feel was necessary. Which included buy a swimsuit that wasn't his standard speedo. Luckily the swimsuit shop had more than few selections.
Glancing over he brightened up recognizing one of the Iwatobi members, and trotted up to the other. "Tachibana! You're out shopping here too?"
{ this blog's super new but if you want a starter, like this post! i'll do it while i work on my other replies uxu }
Caught red handed. He could easily read through that stern expression thrown towards him and knew how Mikoshiba was way too invested in others than he should be. True captain material that Rin, unfortunately and begrudgingly, couldn’t compare to.
"That never stopped you from doing it before, Captain."
Immediately having the situation turned back onto him, he scowled and adjusted his swim goggles. Sauntering closer to the fiery redhead and shooting him an irritated look. He was making it seem like Rin was over here slacking and that was far from the truth.
"Don’t chastise me. I was out there.” Hands pressed to his hips in sassy display. "One of the guys twisted his ankle on the dive and I was making sure he was alright."
The younger was sulking again, something he'd done since the first time he'd met him. When he was still angry and lost about the troubles in his life. Back then he wouldn't have even let him do certain swim meters, let alone captain an entire team. But he'd grown enough, even if he might not think it.
"I'm not your captain anymore." He reminded, crossing his arms and looking back at the rest of the Samezuka swimmers. Not much looked like it'd changed, which was exactly what he was hoping for. No slacking and still visible evidence of focus in them all.
"I figured it might've been something like that. Good to see you're taking your responsibilities seriously. I can tell you're now putting the team first."
“You can get a better view from the pools edge, you know.”
A knowing half-smile was on his face. Growing slightly when he noticed the small jolt of surprise lift from his former captain shoulders. Maybe, he shouldn’t have come from behind him …
Rin noticed him standing there by the locker room entrance for a few minutes before approaching. Seijuro’s eyes locked on, never leaving his brother’s form in the pool.
When the current captain's voice drifted in behind him, the hairs on the back of his neck stood up like it did whenever he was caught doing something secretive. Which wasn't very often, but it was enough for him to press his lips together in a serious line, looking over his shoulder at him trying hard to mask his discomposure.
"Don't be foolish, how are the swimmers going to concentrate when someone else is looming over them." It was a bullshit excuse but what could he say without making it obvious why he was here.
"And what about you?" He turned fully to where he could see him. "Shouldn't you be out there?"
Pout on his face. He huffed and puffed in a childish fit. Stretching himself across the table. Arms crossed to make some bigger point about this outrage. It was doubtful Seijuro meant to make it personal, and Momo knew that. But somewhere deep inside, he couldn’t help feeling as if he was falling behind the expectations set out for him.
” I don’t get it. What’s wrong with the regimen I put together? “
Shifting his gaze up from the paper to directing the whining his little brother was dishing out to him. It's not that his regimen wasn't put together well, it's just it was focused in all the wrong areas. It was obvious to the former captain and he had to hold his tongue about how it should've been easy for Momo to see it too. But he was still learning, he had to remind himself of that even though his skills far surpassed those of an amateur.
"Because you're seeing at things too narrowly! Look again." He passed the paper back to him and slammed a pen down in front of him.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE INANIMATE OBJECT?
"Hmm, my old captain’s jacket from Samezuka. I worked pretty hard to get it so I try to make sure it doesn’t get any sort of damage."
