“The dogs would probably get my scarves. They’re not safe anywhere.”
“I imagine so. At least that provides a better excuse than it simply vanishing.”
“The problem is presents is having what’s necessary in my home every morning.”
“That is a problem. The scarf especially. I lose those quite often.”
“I might have to turn that into a habit.”
“I suggest it does and before the temperatures fall lower than they already have.”
“That sounds like the right way to start a day.”
“It is. Always warming and quite refreshing.”
how did you and lucien meet?
“Once upon a time, the Harts and the Abbots each had a little boy, Oz and Lucien. Both of the families were quite rich (still are to this day), but unfortunately they were two boys so a proper marriage that would produce offspring to combine the family fortunes. Still, the two met during large parties and became close friends and remained so even after Oz talk his family off and hasn’t spoken to them since. They became roommates at university where they became closer friends and Oz let Lucien take him home for holidays to boost his self-esteem. After graduation, they parted ways only to meet back up recently.”
“I’m not really a fan of the cold, no.”
“It’s no that bad. A coffee, a scarf, a bottle of whiskey, maybe a shag? I’ve found it helps me.”

“Because I fucking look like him, that’s why.”
➳ ❝ You also look like the Human Torch and he can light himself on fire and fly.

It wasn’t a fancy home, they had done as much as they could when they could afford it but it was their home and she was proud of it. “Ah’m glad you think so.” She paused, knowing that Finnigan would probably have a fit if he knew about her inviting strangers in to their home. He couldn’t keep her sheltered forever though. With a shake of her head, she smiled easily once more. “Nay, you missed ‘im actually. There was an early call out so he had to get to work. It just means plenty of food for us, doesn’t it?”
➳ Something told Oz that maybe it was a good thing he’d missed her brother, but then he also didn’t find joy in sneaking around behind someone’s back. That usually ended badly for everyone involved. He’d been there before. ❝ It does, which is never a bad thing.”

“I’m Captain America, duh.”
➳ ❝ And I was merely wondering why. There’s so many other, better superheroes to pick from.

“Yes, sir. I’ll be happy to. Everyone needs to know about the goodness of cabbage.” She recalled the name, perhaps from being in town but now she’d be certain to hunt him down and talk to him especially if he was a friend of his. The kitchen was a cluster of half finished chores that she moved from one bench to another, giving the appearance of tidiness. “Thank you, kindly. My brother and I have done a lot to the place since we’ve moved in. It’s a good home.” She smiled, feeling proud of their humble abode. It wasn’t often they had people over (Finnigan was too cautious for that). The smile stayed on her lips as she began readying the skillet.
➳ Oz had grown up in a huge house, a mansion, and hasn’t lived in one since. There was first the dormitories, then wherever he’d scrounged up over the next ten years after in his travels. But he’d always liked the smaller scale. It was a classic wish for something you never had, but it went deeper for Oz. He always wondered what would’ve happened had he not been born into money. ❝ It is,” he agreed honestly. He could tell a lot of work went into it, but not in a bad way. It was nice. “Is this brother going to mind my staying for breakfast?”

“If ah ever get to meet him, I’ll put in a good word fer you an’ the cabbages.” It would be the truth as well, she had fallen asleep in the gardens a few times herself. Sometimes when you’re tired, you just needed to rest no matter where it is. “Wonderful! The house is just up here.” She waved him along, leading the way down the shaded path as she wiped her hands on her skirts. Once at the door, she held it open for him and for Carrick who had caught up. “Make yer self at home!”
➳ ❝ Be sure to, he’ll listen to you I’m sure.” Lucien was really only ever stern with him. No one believed it of the cute innocent six-foot two-inches man had a vein that popped out when Oz suggested or was in trouble for certain things. Oz smiled when she started leading him to the house. He followed along with her, glancing around at the house and surrounding area. It was nice, quaint, and something he could always appreciate. He went inside at the invitation, removing his jacket, since that would be a little dirty now and removed his shoes, being careful of making a mess. He was a mess, but he also knew when not to make other people’s things a mess. “This is really nice.”

— ❝ You may think it sounds like I’m being extremely over-dramatic, but – oh, jesus. Alright. Fine. You win. We’ll wait for him to show up and you can see for yourself. ❞
➳ ❝ Now you see, I’m really excited to meet this man now. But in the mean time, I’m Oz. It’s been a pleasure.

“We’re closed whenever we don’t have an event going on. Simple as that.” And an unspoken rule, at that.
➳ ❝ Merely remarking on a flaw I’ve noticed. However, this is a mistake I won’t make again I assure you.” He paused for a second. “I should be on my way.”
Oswald, honey, we need to get Lucien a date.
I see I’m not the only one that’s heard the terrible news too! He’s been lying to me for years. However, I couldn’t agree more. I will get my hands on a meeting room and we will all begin operation: save Lulu from sacrifices.
arE YOU A TOP OR A BOTTOM
To answer this I need to ask two questions: is this an invitation for sex? which are you?
Why do you sleep outside?
I need the fresh air. Drinking has the uncanny ability to tell someone that.
